Xero's cheeks flushed again as the significance of the holiday was made clear. Perhaps there was something in the boy's explanation he had missed? The boy could not have known Xero's ignorance to 'silly' human traditions. Still, he felt a fool and likely looked it with his eyes widened and his cheeks rosy again.
Her further explanation of the alternate meaning gave him a bit of relief. Hopefully she did not see it as a hint of deeper affections. "You are most welcome..." He managed to quietly speak before regaining his former confidence. "The offer is appreciated, though, you have been working hard all through the night, I can manage myself. Please, get some rest for yourself. Perhaps when it is cleared we can go to the library?"
Though the offer was tempting Xero could not bring himself to ask of more help than she had already given. Partially out of pride and partially out of concern.

If Prisca ever thought the man to be a fool, she never showed it. Not now, not ever. Even after the many months she had known him, the habit of blushing was still just as charming as it was the first time. Human emotions were cute on him. At least she thought so. She didn't think he appreciated it, judging by past encounters.
"Mm," the woman mumbled, reaching down to where her purse lay on the floor. Picking it up, she rummaged through it for her phone. The case was almost as purple as her tail, half of it still on the couch in the freedom of her shorter dress. A little pink heart charm dangled from the top of the phone. With her thumb, she clicked the unlock button on the side to access the time. "I have a shift later today at the shop. I can always call in, but if you're sure." Putting the phone away, she slung the purse onto one shoulder and looked back at him. She did feel a little tired and her feet her a little from wearing her shoes for longer than was needed. Sleeping on a couch just wasn't as relaxing for her as a bed. She wasn't used to it.
"Yes. We should do that." Bending down the pick up the cup off the floor, along with her bag of supplies, Prisca gave Xero's cheek one more small kiss in farewell. "You should keep the pills in case you get worse, again." After one more smile in his direction, she disappeared to make her way back home for a quick nap before getting ready for work.
