 ...Hikari❅Lilica..
| Weapon | Excited | Newbie | ╔═════════════════ ═ ═ ═ ═ ☆ As Above ☆ ║ ║ "So this is Shibusen..."
Staring up at the long, long, long flight of stairs before her, the girl couldn't help but feel intimidated and a little helpless. It was her first time here in Death City. All her life, she had lived in Japan, never leaving her homeland. This is the first time she's set foot outside, not to mention in a whole new country and environment. This is also the very first time she laid eyes on Shibusen. It had seemed smaller in the brochures. This big, she did not imagine. She also heard rumors that you need at least strong legs to get up to the school, strong legs which she doesn't have. She thought it was just a metaphor. She didn't think they really meant it in a literal sense! Shibusen sure is something...
"Nobody told me about these stairs," was her first thought. 'Nobody told me about these stairs!' Sighing in defeat, Hikari puffed her cheeks and wore a determined face. "No, I can do this! What's a flight of meager stairs to all those Kishin Eggs we might encounter soon enough!" she said to herself, trying to muster up her courage. "Besides, I'm gonna be late if I keep dwindling down here!" And without further ado she took her first step up to the school.
Hikari just barely made it for Shinigami-sama's speech. For most of the part, though, she wasn't even listening. All she could think of was just to catch her breath and calm down. The climb up really tired her down. Sitting down by the stairs to take a little break and rest, she listened to the last parts of Shinigami-sama's speech.
"Some of you have tags that say weapons, and some of you have tags that say meisters..."
Hikari looked at the tag on her cloth. Weapon. 'I hope...' she started but didn't finish what she was gonna say. The idea of partnering with somebody and fighting alongside that person excited her greatly, but she was still worried. After all, would there be a meister willing to partner with her? She's a bow-type weapon. Quite rare as it only runs in a few families, her family being one of them. She was teased that they old-fashioned and--
"Wait a minute! What am I thinking!?" Hikari suddenly blurted out loud. She quickly covered her mouth realizing her little outburst caused a few people to stare at her. She grinned sheepishly at them and then moved away a little. The stares still followed, but only as quickly as they came. Sighing out her embarrassment, she patted her cheeks and thought, 'I really should stop these little outbursts! More importantly, no negative thoughts! No negative thoughts!' She continued slapping herself which may have seemed really weird from others point of view... and it actually is as more people glanced at her. 'There's nothing to worry about! You can do it! There's bound to be someone here who'll partner with you! Gambaro!' She snapped out of her optimism moment upon hearing footsteps moving away. Looking up, she saw everyone was going inside the school.

____________________Hamilia Porkins Hamilia arrived a bit later than she had hoped for. Some students already went past the main entrance and the crowd was starting to line without the exception of some. Dull obsidian plates flickered from one sight to the next. Her breath started faint and then blew out her contempt. The school indeed was marvelous let alone it's shape and concept. Most people she saw were wearing the same tags. Hers printed; "Weapon". She wondered how it would all work out. So many people relied on agility nowadays but not Hamilia. However, she hoped that things would work out. Maybe she'd be lucky to have a handsome Meister as her partner, noting the handful she had already seen on her way. People from all over the area gathering to this very school. Her chance of scoring seemed fair. A quirky grin slit her expression from under the scarf, unseen as her head was lowered. Her hands were warm inside her jacket pockets, and still as her heart. "It'd be great if things did work out." Her voice resonated throughout her mind as she calmly continued her walk.
Eventually, she just had to stop. Not just because she saw an odd man with distinctly odd clothing, but because of these stairs. Stairs! She felt her blood boil around her ears and her stomach pumping more acid than it allowed. "What is this... It looked so much smaller in the school pamphlet.." Instead, her flightly personality took a change. She chuckled exuberantly at the idea of walking up and tapped one foot against the first step. A vein started to bulge on the side of her smiling expression. "Well.. I guess a smooth sea never made a skilled Mariner." She said, starting to ascend to unfavorable trial until she noticed another person who seemed to be contemplating on the same thing.
"From what his Lordship seemed to say over there-" Hamilia turned to point so that they could trace to the man's direction; "I think we should be going to the Cafeteria." Her words were laced with a careful tone but infact she was a bit frustrated to think that she was going to have to walk up the same path with so many steps. Her eyes were shrunken into narrow slits when she mentioned that information and didn't exactly notice the girl's colorful fashion. Hamilia thought her fabric design was exceptionally gorgeous and her hat rather unique. She blinked before putting her hands back into her pockets. "Wow, I'm jealous. Unlike me, you have good taste in fashion.~" She chuckled with a smile before elevating herself up another step and eventually repeated the same process. After the final step, she dabbed her brows of sweat and went on inside the building.

Hikari just stared at a retreating girl's back. Her "daze syndrome" attacked again, making her take a long time to realize that that same girl she was looking at just answered her question and complimented her outfit. Hikari blushed for she wasn't really wearing anything fancy... at least in her own opinion. Nevertheless, she couldn't help but thank that person. "T-thanks...?" she said softly, even though that person had already gone inside. Sweat dropping, she sighed and just smiled softly.
"Well, I guess I better go inside to and meet my fellow studs," she said confidently and went inside herself.

Matthais Iori -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matt walks the steps to the entrance of Shibusen. "this is it, the place mère told me to find." He looks around trying to take in the new enviroment. "this place does't seem to out of the ordinary." Matt stops looking over the large building in front of him taking notice to every spike that protruded the large candles burning on the building.
Matt wonders what the inside to the building is like but decides to just walk around the outside and look over the grounds for right now maybe he would meet new people so he wouldn't feel so outta place.

【 Mateus Jordi Albera 】【 Meister 】【 Newbie 】【 Looking for Partner 】 From what had started out as a good day of sweet pastries and pilfering. Not the pastries of course, freshly baked they’re worth the money. But as for a couple of apples, a can of drink, and maybe a sandwich or two. Also there was that chewing gum, and those…well, in his defence they shouldn’t have been so easy to take in the first place. How could anyone…how could, I resist such easy prey? Its not like he knew the snooty nosed shop keepers, let alone the lazy stall owners. They deserved what they got. Unlike that nice one, an old lady whose name he could barely remember. Gertrude something or another… Either way she’d been nice to him, so in return he’d been nice back. Though to claim all the people here were stuck up or corrupt, was very much a lie. Most here were nothing like those he’d known from back home. Almost soft, they were innocent to him and his ways.
But for Mateus, old habits die hard, or so they say. Though as to who ‘they’ were, he couldn’t work out. Maybe smart people like the teachers or Shinigami-sama knew. But as for him, such thinking was much too much was beyond his mental patience. Not that Mat was mental, he just had a different outlook on the world. One that included not thinking about silly things. But in no way did that make him less bright or not patient. (For what thief could be a thief if he couldn’t be subtle, curious or cunning?) But with a not so subtle oath, Mat knew none of this would helped him if he was confronted by a teacher. Especially if folks like them, like reasoning’s for being late. Either way the whole, sleeping away the hottest part of the day, was like a custom for him. Something one of the teachers was supposed to like, (unless he was that strict one.) With a shrug, Mat paused to yawn and stretch his limbs out overhead. In truth a nap could hardly be helped, with the sun being so hot. Not to mention so bright, that any normal person would like to sit in the cooler shade. So after a snack or picnic, would come the inevitable dozing off, swiftly followed by the whole falling asleep thing. So it was hardly his fault that…well, that he no longer had an excuse to tell a teacher. Something that was hardly helped with being all exposed on the stairway up towards the school. “So much for wanting to sneak in…”
Sighing, Mat paused midway up the (never ending steps of doom) stairway, to glance towards the (smirking ball of light) sun. “You know, if it wasn’t for you and this stupidly large sandbox, I wouldn’t have to be here,” He growled under his breath. “I wouldn’t have fallen asleep…I wouldn’t have been late…though…” Glancing down at the classical black and white Converse on his feet. He could help but squirm, and grin at how easily he’d been bribed by that man. Though to him they were the first gift he’d had, for as long as he could remember. Expensive ones too, so he could hardly say no. This was exactly why he couldn’t back down without trying out the school for a day or two. Though as to why they’d need a silver tongued, little street urchin like him, he didn’t know. Its not like you could steal a persons soul without them looking, (especially as evil, didn’t necessarily mean stupid.) Then there was the whole partner, weapon thing, he wasn’t sure about. The less people he had to trust, the better. But despite a lack of optimism, he’d been promised an adventure, so he could hardly stop on the first couple (hundred) of steps! With that in mind, he gave the sun a casual wave, before climbing ever upwards with an unnatural burst of energy. His face split in a challenging grin to those he past, as he and his very own converse finally made it to the summit.
With a loud exhale and a trembling but arrogant step, he confidently strode by those who clutched at their sides, gasping for breath. All red faced, Mat resisted the urge to congratulate them with a friendly clap to the back. Whilst patronising, he didn’t really want to watch them fall like dominos, (however amusing it‘d be). So with his quirky smile, he spotted and approached some table with badges upon it. Grabbing one seemingly at random, he paused to glance up at the weird structure before him. With all its symmetry and towers, not to mention the skulls and spikes. Mat couldn’t help but hear the discussions of those around him. With some talking about the all important partnerships. Others (the potential dominos from earlier) were happily cursing about the (never ending steps of doom) stairs. Then there were the odd few who admired the school and the view over the city. With an appreciative nod, Mat felt a bit happier that there were those who were a bit like him. But unlike them, he couldn’t help but swoon over the thought of climbing Shibusen. With its already stupid height, to stand at its peak and look out over at the vast deserts, was a goal suitable of any lad. Though admittedly it was another thing he’d never admit to his teachers. Maybe not even his partner. Well, depending if there was another person odd enough to pair up with him and his converse, (unless it was that whole opposites thing). Either way, with a shrug he pinned on his badge before slipping into the shadows. The last to see him, would spot a devilish grin flashing across his face.
A while or so later, Mateus perched on a suitable ledge overlooking the school entrance. High enough not to be bothered by others, it wasn’t so high that he couldn’t jump down, or be unable to listen to some of the conversations of those bellow him. With a few gossiping about pretend Kishin eggs, or whatever they were. Then there was talk about a good number of students being beaten up, and a destroyed cafeteria. “Looks like I missed all the fun…” He mused, sitting back to enjoy the unspoilt view, well suited for any with an appreciative eye. That is if you liked overly large sand boxes, though the city itself was nice enough at this angle. Either way, rather than become a total recluse, he pinned his badge onto the end of one of his laces. Then by dangling his feet down, he hoped to catch the attention of any who was observant enough to look up. Not that he minded either way as he fished an apple out of his pocket. But for those who bothered to look, his badge read Meister.
