Elisabetta bounced back on her heels, swaying her hips so her longer tentacle wouldn't get the chance it so desperately desired to shred the wrapping paper. "Both. Well, really, Miss. Adhara, but Lira's my friend too~" She really should have made more of an effort to befriend the other Lust spawn, but between Adelle, her family, and Vincent, who had the time? "Nice to meet you, Cody, I'm-" And just like that, she was cut off by the door.
As soon as Elisabetta spotted Adhara, she squeeled and thre her arms around the older woman's shoulders. Her longer tentacle canoodled with the other, but chibi-chan recoiled away like a frightened child. "Your as hot as you ever were, Miss Adhara!" The teenager grinned, wriggling her eyebrows before bursting into excited laughter. "And why yes, yes it is," She said coyly, wriggling her finger along with the older woman's. "Thats a double congrats for you then, and don't worry about me. It's your party!"
Shoo, whoo! What a whirlwind. Elisabetta sat her gifts down on the table, and had a good look around. The vasty majority of the rooms occupants she knew some way or another, but some were complete strangers.
And some were just her silly fiancee. Talking to...what had to be Miss Adhara's lady love. Elisabetta slipped up behind him, trailing her fingers on his hips before wrapping her arms around his waist, and peeping around his shoulder. "Congrats! You must be Zuba," Lissy latched onto Vinny's arm instead, "I'm Elisabetta, but you can call me Lissy." Of course, that didn't answer why she was here, but she didn't want to intrude on their chat more than necessary. In fact, after introduction were done, she planned to mosey on to the other patrons.

Although the boy knew the answer already, Cheyenne couldn't help but find himself asking his mind the same questions the closer they got to their destination. How exactly was he roped into going along with this? A baby shower, right, but he didn't know anyone! He wasn't invited, he probably wouldn't know anyone else that had been invited, and heck, Damien hadn't been invited, from what he'd gathered. This was a party, wasn't it? Didn't that mean a bunch of people?
Yanking on the hood of his jacket, China tried to make sure it would shield his eyes from the sun if the length of his bangs were unable. Drat, did it have to be so bright today? Not that all the questions swimming through his head were helping him feel any more confident. Nearly blind in the way he covered his eyesight, he relied on Damien to lead the way, latched onto the closest piece of clothing that wasn't on his own person.
He sighed inwardly, annoyed with the amount of pessimism he was exhibiting. He wasn't really unhappy, just... maybe paranoid would be a more appropriate term. The least he could do was make the best out of it, especially considering he was with a good friend. It wasn't like things were going to go badly; that seemed highly unlikely at a baby shower. Besides, he was helping someone out, right?
Now fully determined once again, he answered Damien with a sharp nod, scanning the apartment with sharply red eyes. Oh Gods, that's a lot of people, he swallowed, his grip tightening. Despite being indoors, the pale child refused to pull his hood back, preferring to convince himself that he was invisible with it on even though he practically tumbled over the couch when the two of them neared it.
Blinking, China paused to rest on the couch, attempting to regain his bearings on the room with so many people milling about. He spotted the wrapped infant in the arms of a strawberry blonde -- the mother, most likely -- frowning as he thought of a course of action. His response came quiet, trying to keep the volume below that of anyone else's chatter as he thought aloud, leaning a little closer so Damien would be able to hear, "You're good with kids, aren't you? Like with Demetre? Maybe if you got the baby's attention, he'll want to come over?" That plan would only work in a limited capacity, however, as that still wouldn't help with him actually coming closer. Pausing, he glanced upward, determining how high the ceiling was. "Suppose you could try standing on my shoulders or something, get a better view," he suggested hesitantly. No, he was fairly certain that a sickly wimp like him wouldn't be able to hold up someone of his own size, let alone a preteen like Damien, even with the support of the couch. "Or just... standing on the back of the couch... or a table, maybe?" he added. It really was a lot busier in here than he was expecting...

Luthor found himself considering Llujah's words about staying for the whole thing. It would be something that he would consider he thought to himself as he found a place off to the side to watch the rest of the spawn as they greeted one another. It was a large group, wasn't it? It had him wondering exactly how many spawn the Labs had created, how many of them were out and about in the world. He tilted his head to one side, curiously, then fluttered his wings.
By nature he was the sort that would stand or sit off to the side and wait for others to come to him, something that he did when he made his deals. He doubted it was the sort of habit that helped out well in a party atmosphere though, in fact he was sure that he should be mingling. It was a shame that Ciaran or Pepper weren't here, at least he would have someone he knew well to stand along side... but he couldn't be certain if either of the mothers knew of those two spawn. The white haired spawn perked up a little when he noticed Adhara giving him a wave, a gesture that he responded in kind with.
He seemed to perk up that much more when the very person he was looking for appeared behind him, tapping him on the shoulder, "Lira." He murmured, turning to look at the spawn that he had made the deal with some time ago, looking her over, then smile. Good, good everything seemed to have gone smoothly and it seemed as well that being a woman agreed with this spawn he found himself thinking, "I was glad to be able to get away for a time and very glad to see you again." He told her, then looked at the little one that was held out to him and he couldn't help but to smile brightly, "How adorable." What an interesting looking little thing he found himself, such little wings and a little nub of a tail he thought to himself.
"Hold him? Are you certain?" The idea had his eyes going a little wide, heart skipping a beat, then he nodded rapidly, "I would love that." To be able to hold a baby, that wasn't something he'd been so lucky to do before now and was something he was most eager to do. He held his arms out to carefully take the little one in his arms with her help before smiling, gazing down at him, "He is amazing." He was so light and tiny and perfect he thought to himself, "Being a parent must be amazing, huh?"

Ebony was a little late arriving, seeing as she was just returning from her honeymoon when she got word of the exact time and place of the shower. It'd taken a little bit to get herself and Esmeraude dressed up - having decided Diamande should spend a bit of time with his new Daddy. The pair arrived after a while, Emmy clinging to the bag with the present for Aunty Zuba, and Ebby carrying the one for Lirona in her other hand.
She knocked lightly on the door, poking her purple head in and grinned around at all of the people. So many familiar faces! "Hello all!" she greeted cheerily, looking around for Zuba, Lirona, or Adhi to give hugs and presents.
Emmy, meanwhile, seemed curious about all of the people and her head was swiveling everywhere trying to look at all of them, her ears flicking around to pick up on conversations as she did. Wow! Maybe there would be kids her age here! Or she'd get to play with the baby! Mommy said babies were cute!

Llujah smiled happily and chuckled as his old friend ruffled his pink head. "Yeah, hopefully the new parents will be happy with the presents and all. I had my mama help me pick out some of -" Llu was suddenly cut off as Fitzroy uttered a hasty apology and bolted out the door, leaving the Greed spawn standing there, feeling rather confused. Unsure as to what to say, he raised his hand and gave a little half-hearted wave as Fitzroy left. "Um... Okay. See you, Fitz..."
Now left alone in a crowded room, Llu looked about him to see if he could find any more familiar faces to talk to... Or perhaps unfamiliar, as well. He certainly was not adverse to making new friends. After noting his numerous options, Llu decided to go over by Luthor once more. It seemed that Luthor was preoccupied by a little bundle in his hands, so Llu opted to speak to the presumed mother near him.
"Uh, hi, miss Lirona. I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Llujah!" Pausing, Llu took a quick glance at the wee baby in the pretty man's arms. He smiled and looked by to Lira. "That's your baby, yeah? He's so cute! Congratulations!"

Copeka was very displeased to find that, only a moment after he had actually stirred to waking, he was leaving his mother's warm arms. A soft whimper left his throat, hands coming up to rub at his eyes, bothered by the light, still as hungry as he had been before. He wriggled rather unhappily in the others arms, smacking his lips at the air in the hopes of finding something to satisfy his hunger, despite the fact that he'd been handed off from his Mama to someone else. His small wings fluttered, gold eyes opening just slightly to gaze in childlike confusion at the strange-looking man who held him, before the little boy let out a sneeze, surprising himself into soft, quiet tears.
Lirona giggled behind her hand at Luthor's adorable hesitance, but she could understand it all the same. After all, when she had first taken him home from the Facility, she had been scared to hold him; fragile little baby, what if he broke? She nodded in response to Luthor's question, stroking Copeka's forehead with a soft finger. "It really is. Every day he does something else that makes me so grateful to have him." For the umpteenth time, Lira smiled fondly at her baby boy, her little treasure...
When Copeka started crying quietly, the young woman cooed at his adorable little crying. "Aww, you're probably hungry, huh sugar?" With a warm smile she took Copeka back from Luthor's arms, smiling reassuringly at him. "Don't worry, you didn't do anything wrong. He's just a cute little fussy-baby who needs his food. I'll be back, alright?" She patted his arm once or twice, then moved off to retrieve the bottle she had prepared for him earlier in the day.
As she went to the kitchen, she was accosted by a plucky little crossdressing spawn. Lira beamed down at the skirted boy, cuddling Copeka gently. "Why thank you, Llujah. He is an adorable baby, and right now he needs to be fed. I'll be right back, but maybe you could talk to that tall guy over there for a while?" She pointed out Luthor to the boy, eager to give her friend someone to socialize with until she got back.
- - -
Damien's eyes widened in panic when Lira began walking away; going to do baby or girl things, he didn't know. The point was that his subject was moving away, and he had no idea how long it would take for him to come back. And every second he stayed here was another second that he might be discovered and thrown out. That red-haired guy with the scary wings certainly looked intimidating... With an impatient sigh, he slumped over the back of the couch.
"Well, no point in trying that now, although those were some good ideas," he whispered to Cheyenne, giving his companion for the day a gentle and rare smile. He felt a little guilty for dragging the shy boy along, but he wanted back-up, and Gabriel would have definitely been loud and given the game up by now. He patted the boy's white hair gently, always keeping an eye on the crowd. "Maybe we'll try that when Aludra's girlfriend gets back. Do you think that I should just go up and ask...? Or would that just get us in trouble?" He bit his lip, wondering what to do. He didn't think this would be that hard...

Vincent nearly jumped when he felt something on his hip, but relaxed as Lissy's arms went around his waist. "Lissy," he said with no small amount of relief, taking his arm from her and putting it around her waist. "I was hoping you'd make it," he said, giving her a gentle squeeze. "Zu, this is Lissy. My fiancee," was that a proud tone in the humility spawn's voice? No, it couldn't have been.
"Lissy, this is 'Zuba. My best friend."
Kaleb arrived, rather late, he thought. He struggled to knock on the door before deciding to put the packages he carried down to do so. He had been carrying four medium sized, brightly colored boxes in front of him so he could hardly see where he was going. He hadn't seen Lirona since he had been a toddler and christened her tentacle Jake. He'd brought presents for both the new mother, and the mother-to-be; as well as the babies. He had heard that Lirona's baby, Copeka was a boy; and despite this, he had gone for a gender nuetral gift. He had found a lamp that cast the images of several kinds of fish on walls across from it at a baby store. He was positive the baby would like it; what better to fall asleep to, than an aquarium full of fish you didn't have to feed?
For Lira, he had gone with something more simplistic. A music box. It was wooden and brightly colored; an artist had painted angels on the lid. When opened, it had a velvetine inset and played The Magic Flute.
'Zuba and her baby were an entirely different story; 'Zuba was a relative, but Kaleb didn't know her very well. He'd only met her once. He'd heard plenty about her from his older brothers, but that... didn't help him at all when coming to purchase a present for her. So he had gone with an old tradition and bought her a bath set. New mothers often found themselves needing to relax, right? What better way than to bathe?
The baby had been harder. It wasn't even born yet. How was he supposed to guess what the baby'd like? He decided on a mobile, to go over the crib. Babies liked that sort of thing, right? And 'Zuba liked stars and moons and planets, right? He hoped so.

'Zuba blinked as she found herself in charge of a small child. She then smiled, nodding to Fitzroy; it was quite alright. She didn't mind in the slightest. She then redirected her smile, looking down to the little one. "Why, hello there, Chailai. It's nice to meet you." she said softly, offering her hand out for a handshake.
Her attention was diverted as she heard her name, grey eyes looking up to the girl in question. She smiled, nodding; yes, she was 'Zuba. That was her. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Lissy." she said, bowing her head momentarily. She lit up at Vincent's words, her smile brightening. "Congratulations! I'm so happy for you two."
She looked over to the door, smiling and waving to the purply-skinned spawn. "Hey Ebby!" she greeted, her voice raising over it's usual soft tones in an attempt to be, at the very least, semi-audible. To be perfectly honest, she wasn't used to such a large group of people. It was a little overwhelming.
