This is a Zinna! They're designed to be fast runners over long distances and in races. I based the legs off Ostrich legs, as they are said to be one of the fastest birds on land.
The end of the tail can't be seen here since I ran out of space on the page...but it's a fin, designed to steer the animal using wind currents. ^_^ It's a fantasy animal so let's all imagine that would work, okay? Okay~! (There is certainly a way it could work, but I haven't researched into fin designs and I like my original one because it looks pretty. Haha)
Oh and Zinna have shiny scales that feel like silk. They come in all sorts of patterns and colours. They only require very light tack or none at all as they are not designed to carry heavy loads, but to be speedy and have high stamina. They can transport one person, two at most upon their backs. Bridles are normally made of lightweight fabric but not neccessary if the Zinna has been given proper training. It will respond to verbal commands, sounds or light nudges.
They are skittish animals and easily frightened, known to take off without a moment's notice. So make sure you always tie them up somewhere if you don't want to lose them. Lol.
Zinna make whistling, crooning, keening, whinnies, snorting and musical flute like noises. They have little fin-like feathers upon their bodies, as well as fins on the sides, which they can extend when running to help them gain more control and assist in leaping long distances and steering.
They're omnivores, so they're very easy to feed and water. Berries, fruits, vegetables, dried meats, grasses are all on the menu...Zinna are not fussy eaters at all.
They have what looks like a faceted gem on their foreheads which glows when they are communicating with other Zinna and the wavy feelers on the sides of their mouths act as whiskers/antennae.
