Never Stop Dreaming... Not only does today celebrate the day I finally got internet back, but it also marks the day we flaunted our gay pride. biggrin
So the discussion is, how do you feel about Gay Pride Day? Do you support all love? Or do you think it's wrong??

Never Stop Dreaming... For my group of friends, this was a generally happy day. Chad and Dillan made pins and several students were wearing all purple. I drew several pictures for people and taped a sign to my shirt. But, as it usually goes, not everyone was particularly happy with this. Other students made fun of the less secure participants and even a couple teachers (including the dean of students) expressed their distaste in the actions of said Gay Pride participants. I support all love and I am personally happy that we got away with the subtle expression.

I think it's a wonderful day and although I am straight myself I have a friend who is gay and that's never been an issue for me. I think everyone should be able to celebrate it and be proud of who they are in such things heart

Psh, finding someone that thinks homosexuality is wrong... In -this- group? Good luck! It may shock you to know this, but I do view gay pride with a bit of lament. The reason is that it is strictly a reaction to all of the gay shame that this world forces on it. If there were no gay shame, there would need to be no gay pride, or rather no need to rally it forth and share in it on a specific day. I look forward to living in a world that doesn't require gay pride days, because acceptance and tolerance of one another's lifestyles is a given... Though of course I'll never live to see such a world and I doubt anyone else will, either.

That is an excellent point. Wouldn't that be wonderful? too bad acceptance just isn't really a human thing.

I don't personally mind gays.. Some of them look quite okay and integrate well with society. Some of them are actually friends of mine.
Sadly, those kind of gays are almost non-existent in my country. Here they look something like a cross between a hormonally imbalanced man and a malnourished monkey wearing a wig. Their lingo is annoying to the ears too. They make up slang that simply sound horrible. (No offense)
