Ari looked down, remembering when she was still human.
"I think that's what every woman wants. Someone to love them because of who they are. Not just someone looking for only a small time of love without any attachment."

"I feel that's very true, but by feeling that I feel guilty that I doubt Dark's love for me. Events here have convoluted so many emotions such as love and compassion. Ari...what about you and Ryn. How do you feel about him?" Faith looked up at her. She wanted to know before she made her next move.

Looking hard at the floor below, Ari tried to remember her past. She knew Ryn when they were both human, but what she could remember only came to her in small fragments and faded pictures.
"Ryn has always been kind to me. I remember him always protecting the weak. Sure, he could be cold but that was just his nature. I don't understand how he could do these things that others say he has done. The Ryn I knew wouldn't kill anyone."
She looked up at Faith.
"He has changed so much since then."

"The only thing constant is change." Faith remembered the words that lord had spoken to her. Her heart felt saddened to know that he was gone. "Should we find a way out then?"

"Well okay. Let me..." She turned Ari into one of the guards. "This will only last until you get into the throne room okay? I'm going to go back to Dark and see if we can work things out."

"It's an illusion. Kitsune can create illusions, so you'll fool the guards on your way out. Go..find Ryn and get things straight." Faith smiled. "Just don't forget your duties too."

She nodded.
"Thank you, Faith. Thank you so much!"
Running over, she gave the girl a hug before carefully leaving the room. She made sure to stand straight and salute the guards on her way out.

Manifesting himself within the darkened chamber, the Vampire Lord looked around at his surroundings. All seemed as he had left it, save for the scent of others that had entered during his absence. Crossing to the door, he opened it to greet the man on the opposite side.
"Indeed. Enter and speak freely. Welcome to Castle Rosencroix."
