Tamani's eyes sparkled in true delight as she saw her knight in shining armor fall into step with her plan. She couldn't have been more pleased than she was right at that moment.
In a rare show of affection, the leopardess rubbed her head up underneath Kitambi's chin, much like she'd done when they first met as cubs. Flicking her tail, her throat rumbled in semblance of a purr. If one didn't know better, one would almost think the young leopardess was finding feelings for this knight...

Never could a mammal feel such solace in his fur as when the blood rushes to their face, heating it in a great flush. The memory of happenings when they were cubs did not occur in the flustered male's minds, as he stuttered to meet words.
"I, uh- that is, uh- ... I'll go watch the lions," he expostulated at last, before legging it at top speed towards a spot where his cheeks could cool.

Grinning widely as her companion hot-footed it out, Tamani silently congratulated herself on a job well done. He was a fine male, and a familiar one at that. One she could trust to do her bidding along-side of her, without fear of being turned on in the end. As long as she kept him fed with danger and lies, he would eat out of her paw without question.
Laying back down upon her branch, the jaded eyes resumed their watch upon the forest floor below her, as if nothing had transpired moments earlier.
