I would ask life issues this, but every time I go there everyone's a d**k. You people are way nicer and I feel safer here.
I know you guys aren't government workers but do you think I qualify for disability? I'm trying to get it, again;they denied me once already.
I have an incurable disease that causes spontaneous dislocation of joints and joint pan. I hurt just by doing small tasks. Cleaning glass. Standing for more than a few minutes. Lifting things. Holding my arm up. I can't sit correctly either.
I also have mental issues. Depression. Schizotypal Personality Disorder, which means I have issues with being around people and poor social skills. I get upset far too easily. If someone were to yell at me I'd probably cry. Do you think I qualify? D:

{♫=♥}:
IDK about mental issues, my mom have Depression and she's not on disabilities. My dad have a broken back and he have disabilities. So they'll probably give you one for the disease and stuff. I think you need proof that you do have it from a doctor or something. Idk how that stuff goes. You probably qualify.

Probably. Unless they have a name for your disease that won't help you much, even if that's what disables you the most. I know with Fibromyalgia like I have it's really hit and miss, but if you have diagnosed depression and other mental illnesses (also like me) those should qualify. However, expect to be turned down the first time you apply. From what I hear they deny you at first no matter what. Then they actually pay attention to the ones that apply again.
Good luck because I am going through the process right now since I haven't been able to work full time. I already got accepted to disability medicaid but outright disability is still in the works.

Most people get denied the first time or even the first couple of times. It's obviously up to them and on a case to case basis, but you sound qualified enough to me. My mom is on disability because of her bipolar, even though she would be perfectly capable of working and many people with her problems do work. If you see a therapist, they can write a letter of referral or something like that for the next time you apply. Just keep trying!

Go talk to somebody about getting on disability. My hubby and I have tried that, but if you have a mental disorder and are still high functioning, they don't really do anything to help you through the hard times.
I'd say that spontaneous dislocation of joints is something they might consider a serious disability.
Good luck, either way.

You're probably going to need a lawyer. I tried for Disability and was turned down. I have Diabetes, Fibromyalgia, Obessive Compulsive Dissorder and I broke my foot so badly that I needed a plate and screws and I have a letter from my doctor that I cannot stand for long periods of time. they sent me a letter saying that while there are types of work I can no longer do (including what I was doing before I broke my foot) I should be able to SOME work, there fore I was denied. A friend of mine who DOES receive Disability told me you really need a lawyer's help for them to find in your favor.

iDiru Gabrielle_AnimalLuver Did they explain why you were denied the first time? Nope confused I got a letter when I was denied. It wasn't terribly helpful but it sort of explained what they felt I could and couldn't do. you should be able to request a letter at least stating that.
