4laugh My mum bought me & m'luv attendance at a sushi-making class at the Cambridge School of Culinary Arts for Christmas, it was this past week and oh my goodness it was marvelous.
I stuffed one of my rolls too thick and it wouldn't close, so I wound up eating the whole roll like a sub xd
I used cream cheese in everything I made, too whee
My girlfriend's rolls were all very nicely arranged, because she's an art major (and more than a little OCD haha).
Everybody who attended got recipe pamphlets to take home! So for our next stay-at-home "date" my girlfriend and I are going to make more sushi.

Mm, sushi. :9 I'm more a fan of sashimi, because I hate seaweed, but I'll eat sushi when it's made with soy sheets. Cream cheese is pretty much the best thing to put into a roll. I'd have to say my favorite combination is cream cheese, cucumber, scallions, and then anything that makes it crunchy, with that spicy sauce. *g*

w00t sushi-making! Last year Japanese food was my little project. Making perfect rice is the hardest part, I think -- I never am sure whether I put too much or too little water, or if I didn't rinse it enough . . . it's gotten much easier w/practice, but I am still never 100% sure.

I'll eat it as long as it tastes good haha. I don't expect the first few attempts to turn out quite perfect, but it'll be fun.
