Alright, so the 23rd was my 17th birthday and all, and even though I am still TECHNICALLY underaged I have come to a very awkward stage of this whole coming of age to a lot of old friends. My next door neighbor who is 6 years older than me admitted to liking me and asking me out to a movie and dinner. As well as with every single other 19+ guy within my old circle of friends. Is this normal?

Yes. He's just trying to pop your cherry before college.
tell him to wait a year until your legal.
its a noob mistake on his part...since no one waits for sex anymore.

Don't worry hun; once he finds someone his own age, you won't be a second thought to him. You high-schoolers are too trusting, he's probably looking for a good fling/fun relationship that he can break off easily since you're a minor.

If you're cute and interesting, he may be genuinely interested, but it is a bit of an age gap, so I don't see it playing out well.
My girlfriend is total jailbait, but I wouldn't trade our relationship for everything... of the women I've dated she's definitely the sanest lol

Grape is right, about the fling thing.
If you date him, don't expect anything long term.

Well this guy has admitted he has liked me since I moved in next door 5 years ago. And he has admitted it before, during, and after he dated a good friend. I still hear stories of him and I kinda figured the fling thing....come on, give me some credit. But why is it that suddenly at 17 it seems EVERY guy suddenly has had these "deep long term obsessive love" things going on?
The neighbor was an example.

Me and my girlfriend are a good 4 years apart in age, but that doesn't stop us, me being 20 and her being 16. We just don't do anything sexual. Yet. If you're comfortable then go for it.

It helps the pickup, or so we think. Or at least so I think.

I don't really know if that's a serious answer or not, but I'm going to have to agree that guys tend to do that just for the sex and whatnot, but it may just be me. 'Cause that's what my Grandma's fiance tells me, to basically not let a guy get in my head and make me think they love me sincerely in high-school and then get knocked up/raped/etc. And I don't think it was really necessary for you to quote yourself. I'm just sayin' /shrugs
