OH, OH! I thought of one.
Lamb of God.
Everyone says "Oh, Willie Addler and Randy Blythe and the other members are SOOOO Innovative, the guitars are like nothing I've ever heard before!" but let's face it- sometimes, just because something's new-ish doesn't mean that it's necessarily GOOD.

I'm not Ozzy/Black Sabbath(with Ozzy I loved Dio), Nor am I a Metallica fan not even of their older works I really only thought Kill 'em all was decent but even then I didn't think it was some amazing album, also not a Slayer fan, or any other popular thrash bands. I'm also not a big Týr fan I don't think they aren't terrible but I don't see the big woop about them I know far many viking bands that are unsigned for that matter that I feel are hundreds of times better than they are but I don't necessarily think that Týr is bad I still consider them to be good but not like how they are hyped up to be. I can not think of any right now but if I do I'll edit and add more.

Just saw a sig on some post about an upcoming album from Amon Amarth. Another band I really don't care about. I've seen them live at Tuska, but still I wasn't impressed.
Also I have to agree with Erectile Infection above with not being a Ozzy/Sabbath, Slayer or even a Metallica fan. Sure all of the bands have some good songs that I like to listen to, but as a whole... meh.

Re: the dislike of Devy's various projects.
For the longest time, I couldn't appreciate any of his music either, but then I heard the Biomech album from the Ocean Machine project. Easily one of my favorite progressive metal albums ever, and, IMHO, his best work. I'd recommend it to anyone that hasn't liked Devin Townsend's other work.
Apart from that and the Terria album, though, I will say that I don't really listen to him much.

A Perfect Circle.
I like Tool, don't get me wrong, but... something about Maynard going off and doing something else just makes me cringe.

I'm not sure I understand your post, or that you understand the point of this thread Millenium Joker.

Ocean Machine is nothing like that at all. Recommended tracks: "Voices in the Fan," "Funeral," and "Thing Beyond Things." Though the whole thing is stellar.
