Violet has lived next door to Murasaki all his life and they've been best friends for as long as he can remember. He lives with his parents and younger brother, but now spends most of his time at Rouge's house. Magenta is his first ex-girlfriend, who he broke up with after accepting his homosexuality. He still cares about her and would protect her when possible and feels guilty about having to hurt her. Since the break-up, he tries to avoid eye contact with her because it hurts him to see that she's still suffering because of him. Violet is caring and sensitive and often allows others' problems to take precedence over his own. He fell in love with Rouge shortly after their first meeting, but kept quiet about it for a long time because he felt like he wasn't good enough for someone with as much experience as Rouge had, as well as being unsure about beginning his first relationship with another male. However, since admitting their love for each other, their relationship has been successful and Violet has never been happier. Since Violet revealed his sexual orientation, his friendship with Murasaki has been slightly awkward, as Murasaki found it hard to come to terms with. They still consider themselves best friends, but they don't talk or hang out together as much as before. Violet doesn't talk to Rose or Schwarz much and doesn't have much of a relationship with either of them. He's close friends with Chartreuse, but finds her intimidating, at times.
