I'm wide awake the more I sleep
Argh. Just, argh. -.-
This bug has been going on since Christmas; I've got one version affecting my mule and another affecting my main.
In my mule's tank, half the fish are dead and have been flushed countless times, but keep on reappearing in the tank, leaving no drops. In my main tank, my Stone Coatl died, vanished from my tank and reappeared in Barret's. stare It still is dead, tho; and doesn't leave a drop and requires flushing every day.
Not a dicky bird from Gaia on this irritating bug and when, if ever, it's going to be fixed. You'll understand when I'm dead

Lace_Gaara Not a dicky bird from Gaia on this irritating bug and when, if ever, it's going to be fixed. Did you file a ticket on this and if so when? This is the first I have heard of this so I'm curious how it works out. The closest I have heard is related to the 'bought a fish of MP and it died before I put it in my tank' problem. I've seen a couple of those folks saying it showed up as a ghost fish. I think one said it went to Barrett's tank but I can't remember.

Same thing just happened to me! 2 Stone Coatls died and were flushed within the last 2 hr. Both are now in Barrett's tank, playing with a few Meats and Gwees. stare And, nope, no drop for them either.
Ticket was filed immediately.
This is happening more and more.....especially the dying part and not leaving a drop.

I haven't filed a ticket, but only cuz a friend mentioned that she'd filed one at the beginning of the bug; ie Christmas time, and had gotten nothing back. I just went all emo and didn't see the point of doing so.
It's the silence that gets me; not a word from any devs or any Gaia staff. stare
Oh, and if you want to investigate further; head to the bugs forum for a zillion threads on the subject. You'll understand when I'm dead

Gaia may not respond to the snowflake but may respond to the avalanche if you get my drift. I believe most support divisions who keep their trouble tickets in a database review the database stats periodically to see how they are doing (my company did). A large number of unresolved tickets of a particular type are a red flag to management. It's true they may not currently have the resources to hire more support reps but it puts the issue 'in their face' so to speak. Thousands of users not filing tickets does not.

Dammit... I can't file a ticket. stare Every time I try, I end up at "My Tickets". And yeah, I've tried clearing my cache like they said and still nothing.
Btw, I did try PMing a dev, Pangrammatic, about this issue but received no reply; can you suggest anyone else to message? You'll understand when I'm dead

News... the devs have spoken! They have not forsaken us! smile
Quote: Zombie Fish There have been many reports of zombie fish -- that is, fish that won't die. We've been looking at the problem for the past week and hope to have a fix soon; when we know more we'll do another dev notice. For now, please do NOT submit a support ticket if you haven't already -- we're hoping to fix it for everyone at the same time.

I have a few dead lawnsharks that I moved to Barrett's tank, but have not filed a ticket.
With each ticket filed, it appears Gaia is resetting ALL fish that you own. In other words, the ones that would have lived forever from the previous glitch / strike now have their normal lifespan returned. And, the dead ones that wouldn't go away are resurrected and back to normal.
Also, they are asking you to give a head count on dead fish that did not leave a drop, and they are reimbursing drops.
