Week four - Recovery week.

OMG I LOVE CORE SYNERGISTICS

Best ever. EVER. I love it. And, I can almost do real push ups. I could do them not using my knees and could come down pretty far - about less than a foot between me and the floor, and could get back up. That is progress.

Fourth attempt at Kenpo X. Did about 90% of it. When it comes to multiple moves, I'm just not that coordinated. Kicking is fun because my butt/thigh jiggles a lot. xd

I used to use the original P90, and it was great. I can't anymore, because my knees and ankles and wrists are just so weak that I can't handle it even with serious modification. But I do the Great Body Guaranteed tape now and I love it (while seriously modifying the lunges).

I hate working out, but I really need it. I used to have a real issue with binge eating, and I'm still trying to work off all that weight. I went from an 8 to a 16 in about a year and have the stretch marks to show for it. D;

Good luck keeping it up, Tony sure is dorky as hell. xD

I had wrist issues a few years go. I had physio and splits and Workers Compensation (because it was due to a poor mouse, improper desk height at work). It never got better until I skipped nightshades. They're still pretty tweaky - I sometimes have to stop doing push ups not because my arms are tired but my wrists.

I love working out - my body craves it. If I don't do anything I get that restless leg syndrome (though never diagnosed) and have trouble sleeping.

I was thinking of making a food plan thread - maybe we can do something together? heart

We took the last week off. My boyfriend was getting tired of doing it - not because of the work, but from the constant distractions, from my boyfriends needy clients that call whenever it suits them, to the in-laws "helpfully" telling us if it hurts or gets too tough to stop, to "I like yoga, but not the cult aspect", and to me being lazy in the morning and working out mid morning to afternoon. (I don't know why it bothers him, but he hates it.)

I had so many aches and pains sleeping that I pretty much begged to start up again. Lol, Tony Horton withdrawal. It's not pretty.

Luckily in that week I didn't lose any muscle - yeah, I lose it that fast. I'm so happy I did it. My tailbone however has not gotten any better. It's going to be killer driving for eight days. Ugh. gonk

As for the driving, try one of the lumbar support pillows. I have a mesh one from Walmart, I think it was ten dollars. here's one It won't fix things, but it significantly helps my tailbone/lower back pain.

I was doing good a few weeks ago, I went on an 8-mile bike ride, and was doing weight work at least three days a week. Then work and school piled up and I haven't done anything since. D; I'm gonna try to remind myself to work out tomorrow, if I can. This week I finally have the time to get back at it.

I tried to make myself fast but so far it's just been small meals of oranges and nuts and salads. I did have a burrito and chips today, yum. I'm trying to eat light and healthy. And I froze a ton of lemon juice (fully extracted two full bags of lemons till the rinds were dry, love my machine) so I'm trying to add one cube (probably three concentrated lemons) into each 12-cup container of green tea that I make.

My current goal is to lose a pants size or two by August, and tone down my upper arms so that they can fit into medium shirts again.

As for making a plan together, sure! I can try my best to stick to it. xD Maybe having someone to hold me accountable will help.

Pirhan, you still doing the program or are the 90 days up? I'd love to hear how it all went. My boyfriend is doing the program with a friend of his but I've got work on most days when they are working out. So I've decided to do yoga with a friend of mine, the Kenpo as well as Yoga X. It's not anywhere near the same, but they also don't have most of the program. They seem to enjoy it though.

Hope all is going well with it, though. :3

I've always noticed that commercial and wondered about it. It's good to hear that it's working for you though. Good luck with your progress !

P90X 's are starting to show up on Craigslist here, for about $50. So if the price has just been too much, check your local craigslist!

Late...! Tony Horton (who does the P90X) posted on his Facebook:
"Write down how you feel when you blow off your workout. Write down how you feel the moment your workout is over. Compare the two."

I totally get side tracked too. I go full steam and then take a day off, or get lazy, or whatever and stop. Then, before you know it, it's a week later.

How is everything working out for you? I hope you got back on to what you where doing after the school work dog piled you.

Nope, I finished the 90 days back in April. I really loved it. My biggest challenge was eating - I had to get a 600 cal protein shake so I could get close to the 2000 recommended calories a day.

I went for a bike ride - a real up hill, down hill, twisty curvy single track - bike ride. I was impressed I could do the hills (I passed a few people huffing or just plain stopped). I definitely think that plyo and the rest of the program helped.

Yea! When my boyfriend said he bought something from an infomercial I rolled my eyes. (So hard I almost toppled over!) First time I did it was a bit corny because I wasn't expecting much. By the second day though, it was all good. It gets a bit repetitive (especially with the work outs that do the three sets), but you get through it.

If you can pick it up from Craigslist/whatnot, it's money well spent.
