to hoard them they dropped to 100k and i
snagged afew for about 98k and one misprice!

I'm sure there's more than one reason, but over the holidays a couple of vendors more or less dumped their hoards at 100K each (some less)- and we're talking dumping hundreds of them. (I was in the MP at the time and watched it as it unfolded.) So that freed up a cubic blortload of them, and of course many people who bought at that price were trying to turn them around for a quick profit...so you have the currently depressed market.
