Because men are often in such positions of power to start wars in the first place. XD

But yeah. I believe it's said that most great happenings (whether they're good or bad) done by men trough history have been done due to women.

There are a bunch of reasons
1. Human behavior, especially today's culture, really has glorified war. You see war culture EVERYWHERE, from war movies, to fighting games, to even the use of the word "campaign" and other stuff in politics
2. Resources, cause a third of the wars a long time ago, the whole reason we're in the middle east
3. Religion, caused the other two thirds of wars, and a lot of conflict right now

But most importantly
4. Evolution: Before you yell at me, hear me out. When resources get tight, it's been observed that fighting increases. Now, while this makes sense because of food riots, this also makes sense because the #1 fact of war is that people die. When people die, they tend to eat a lot less, making the demand for food drop. Now, whoever wins, because most fighters are men (even if some are women) there would still be a substantial portion of women left over, which means that the more "fit" group gets to pass their genes on. So, by fighting, the need for resources (at least food) decreases while the winners get to pass their genes on.
HOWEVER, this is different now, different than the old fights of using sticks and other resourceful things. With tanks, missiles, guns, and other crap that takes a ridiculous amount of resources to make, everytime we fight we LOSE a net of resources. Casualty rates used to be 60% a long time ago. Now it's less than 1%


I think we can change though. Textbook case of a violent, male dominated troupe, baboons. Usually, it's a terrible experience for everyone, where all the males fight for dominance and the females hang back, in fear of getting repremended. New males, who are always from different troupes (males leave the troupe they're born in after a while) get sucked into this cycle of violence, causing a sort of catch 22.
NOW, when all the alpha males are killed, the females are allowed to socialize with males, and the agression of the males, even those that come in from the horrible world, somehow evaporates.
Of course, no one cares about this story because of its implications for the goodness of animals
(really, a baboonologist would be less surprised if the baboons started to photosynthesize than stop fighting)

ALSO, in the case of vampire bats, they've evolved to basically force kindness and altruism. For, they lived in a time where food was scarce (after the ice age) and if they didn't help out a starving mate (friend, not even family) they wouldn't be fed, and thus die.

AAAND, domestication of a fox takes 10 years worth of generations. As we look at our ancestor's remains, scientists have noticed that we have moved strangely in the same direction that domesticated animals move in: more fragile bones, more "feminine" features, floppier ears. The reason? Civilization. As we started to organize, instead of the big mean guy being able to beat up a weaker guy and take his crap, eventually enough of the weaker, kinder people were able to organize, and eventually beat the big mean guys. This is where we get our justice system.

But just remember, even if humans hunger for war, they have a deeper hunger for peace

TL;DR
1. We have been fighting for a long time, sometimes for good reason
2. War might have been handed down to us from baboons, maybe agression, but with some changes (getting rid of the alpha male, allowing females to gain at least equal say) even THEY can become peaceful
3. Kindness and cooperation CAN evolve
4. We have been domesticating ourselves, evidence suggests


Now, if you don't see enough evidence for evolution to be true (or just flat out htink it's fraud), my argument is baseless and yes, we were created evil, and since we cannot evolve, will always be evil.

I cannot imagine what technological advancements would have been made if wars weren't fought.

And to put simply, one cannot appreciate peace if there wasn't a necessary conflict to achieve it.
