As with any place, there are some rules you are expected to abide by. They're here to make the experience fun for everyone, and to keep the guild in working order. You are expected to follow these rules during your stay in Bleach: White Chapters. For the list of IC Soul Society Laws, please visit the following thread.

________3-Strike System

We go by the 3-strike system in Bleach: White Chapters, where each breaking of the rules counts as a single strike against you.
  • Strike One: Warning
  • Strike Two: Banning (1-2 weeks)
  • Strike Three: Removal from the Guild. This is permanent!

________General Guild Rules

  1. This is a literate guild, and while spelling errors are understandable as not everyone is perfect, it is expected that members remain literate in their posts, in character and out of character. Users that are posting too illiterately may be asked to either improve their skills or leave.

  2. Please do not use light colors in your posts. They are very hard to read and it's just a giant hassle. If you are unsure about a color, ask.

  3. Canon characters DO NOT EXIST in this guild, and when we say canon, we mean "Bleach-related," so anything from Bleach; manga, anime, filler episodes, movies, or otherwise. This means that anything, within reason of course, that comes from Bleach is not allowed. This includes being a member of the Kuchiki household, being the offspring of Orihime and Ichigo, or having any connection to anything to do with a canon character.

  4. Material of the explicit, pornographic, racial, or crude variety is expressly forbidden, and users found posting these will be warned. Repeated offenses will result in immediate banning of the member, and in extreme cases, their removal.

  5. Comments or discussions involving race, sexual preference, Religion, gender, etc are not tolerated at all. Users found posting these thing will be warned, and repated offenses will result in immediate banning of the member, and in extreme cases, their removal.

  6. Any user found posting scam/hacking content will be banned without notice and have their account be placed on the Perma-ban list. Also, any user found in discussion with that user will also have their accounts banned and reported to Gaiaonline. If you see someone doing something of this nature, please, report them to the Gaiaonline Moderation staff and inform a Crew member of the guild, DO NOT engage him/her under any circumstance.

  7. Strictly OOC posts in a Role Play thread are strictly forbidden, and will be removed with or without the consent of the original poster. Furthermore, that user will be given a warning, wherein repeated offenses will lead to banning or removal.

  8. Members are required to have had their profile submitted and approved, and subsequently join a faction before they shall be allowed to post with that RPC in any Role Play thread. Failure to do so will result in a warning and the post will be deleted.

  9. It is required of any non-crew member to obtain permission from the Guild Captain before posting a new thread in the main forum. Failure to do so will result in the immediate removal of the thread and a warning given to the member.

  10. Secondary RPCs and beyond are to be held on mule accounts; no excuses.

________Code of Conduct

  1. Please be considerate of all members, regardless of their rank, Role Play skill, or any other factor.

  2. The Guild Captain and Guild Vice Captains have the final rule in any dispute. It is well within their power to terminate posts and ban members if a problem will not cease.

  3. You must obey ALL crew members, do not disrespect them. If you feel you are being treated unfairly by one you may contact another and state your case.

  4. Wait your turn! When Role Playing, let others respond to your post before you do something else with your RPC. It's rude and inconsiderate to interact with someone's RPC, then leave them high and dry before they can even respond. This applies even more to fights.

  5. Please be helpful and kind to all new users. Guide them along, be eager to give answers to their question. Support them in anyway possible; you were new once too!

________Common Sense and Reasonable Role Playing

  1. God-modding is not to be tolerated under any circumstances.

  2. Auto-hitting is forbidden except when all parties involved agree upon the action.

  3. You may NOT make up new Zanpakuto/ Kido/ Unique abilities in the middle of a fight or arc. Any changes to abilities must be approved by the Guild Captain before it can be changed. The Guild Captain will then tell you when this ability can be used next.

  4. Take "real world" time into consideration when role playing. It's extremely frustrating when someone uses an attack, only to have it blocked or avoided in a way that could never have happened in real life, even by a superhero. Consider the fact that even though you yourself have time to think of counters and defending, your RPC does not; they're just like the rest of us in that they have a split second to think something up.

  5. Speed/Reaction Time

    • Shunpo is not an instant "avoid damage" card! It has been repeatedly shown through out the series that not everything can be dodged purely through Shunpo, even the fastest characters cant do this. When faced with AOE techniques or Kidō, most characters have taken damage from them or have had to defend themselves in some way instead of skipping gaily out of the way to completely avoid all damage.

    • Remember that even if a RPC has the highest level of speed available, they are not capable of dodging everything. Don't forget that other characters at that same level are just that, at the same level.

    • Being quick on your feet is NOT the same thing as have enhanced reflexes.

  6. Strength/ Endurance

    • High levels of strength or endurance does not make one immune to the physical effects of heavy, falling objects or masses of just about anything partially solid. Smaller individuals that hide their physical strength behind their appearance instead of wearing it on their muscles will still be susceptible to physics. Take Superman, for example; he has increased strength but still slides a good distance when stopping a train.

  7. Be reasonable when it comes to responding to another member's character during a fight. All reactions should stay within the realm of possibility of the fantasy world, and shouldn't border or cross the line of "wtfjusthappened?"

    • No character should have the reaction time to activate Shikai, Bankai, or a Resurrección in immediate response to a threat. For example, if character A launches a Gran Rey Cero, then it is unlikely that character B could do much else than take it, narrowly dodge it, or hastily throw up a shield.

  8. Even with a keen intellect or enhanced sense of evasion, no RPC should be able to fully expect everything that their opponent does. An RPC might have a good idea of what's coming towards them, but even this should be uncommon, and hidden aspects of a technique should normally be overlooked. The only time this might be somewhat acceptable is if all members in question are in agreement that all RPCs involved have intimate knowledge of the other RPC's fighting styles and thought processes.

  9. Don't BS a reaction through meta-gaming. For example, if character A were Jay from the MIB and he held up a Neuralyzer, it would be total BS for character B to instinctively look away before the flash of light. That's meta-gaming, because character B wouldn't have any reason to look away. Note that this was a mere example; memory erasure is not an acceptable ability.

  10. Take hits; your RPC is not a superhero. The rest of us aren't going to look down on you and your RPC for taking a hit or being caught off-guard. It doesn't make them less of a person, it simply makes them normal. Even the likes of the Hokage and Yamamoto can be caught off-guard. If your RPC is consistently abusing Shunpo or Sonido to avoid damage, action will be taken.

________Absences and Dealing with RPCs

  1. If any member leaves the guild for any reason, their character will be killed off for continuity purposes, or in rare occasions sent elsewhere.
  2. If any member ceases to post in an RP for any reason without moving their character, any crew member has the right to move him or her away, and in cases such as above, find a suitable reason for their death.
  3. If any member goes missing for two weeks without any explanation, they will be assumed to have terminated their connection to the guild and thus be removed, then have their character killed off. If the character has not yet been used, the profile will be sent to Storage. In the event this is not the case, they will be welcomed back, but expected to be active again.
  4. In the event a character is killed, their profile will sport [Deceased] in the title, along with their former rank. Deleting posts or the information in a profile will not prevent that character from having existed.

New Members Guide

First off, we'd like to welcome you to our guild, Bleach: White Chapters. We hope that you enjoy your stay and become a member of our little family. Moving on, this thread has been created so that the transition to beginning to Role Play in the guild is easier for new members. This thread is designed to move new members into Role Playing by guiding them step by step. Any further questions not answered within this guide can be sent in to any crew member, whom will be more than happy to assist you.

Step One: Choosing a Faction

  • Currently, only Shinigami are available as a playable faction. This will change in the future as factions are added during the arcs, so check back periodically. For more information on this matter, please visit the FAQ.

Step Two: Creating a Profile

  • To create a profile, you must first have some creativity. If you provide that, then we'll provide you with Bleach: White Chapters's custom profile layout for you to add your RPC's information to. The general layout of the profile should stay the same as the skeleton provided, unless you have a very organized way of doing so; in that case, all we ask is that all necessary information is present.

To add a profile to the guild, simply visit the profile subforum, click User Image and post your profile. The title of your thread should simply contain the RPCs name, nothing extraneous like symbols or "approve me please!"; I can see when a new profile is ready, and I'll jump right on it. If the profile is not fully complete by the time you are ready to post it, then simply add "[U/C]" to the thread title. Note that some people prefer to separate their information over a few posts, which generally makes it easier to edit. This is a decision left up to you. Keep in mind that there are a few guidelines that new members should stick to while building a profile. Don't forget that powers must be balanced and not too powerful!

Step Three: Profile Approval

  • Once your profile has been posted and the "[U/C]" has been removed, then a crew member will take a look at everything present, and then post his or her opinions on it. If a crew finds a problem with the profile, it needs to be dealt with as quickly as possible and not ignored. Sometimes this process could take a few days, but usually it can be finished quickly. If it has been two days and no one has commented on your profile, then please send me a PM and I'll get right on it.

Step Four: Joining a Division and Getting a Rank

  • After step three has been completed, you are free to pick a division that you would like to be in and locate that Division's "Join Request" thread and follow the instructions there to get permission to join, as well as be assigned a rank. Once you are approved, you may move on to step five; if you are not approved, then repeat this step until you are.

Step Five: Adding Points, Kido, and Abilities

  • Once your Division and rank are finalized, you may then return to your character profile and begin delegating points to the Point System area that was previously left blank. The points you add will directly affect Agility and Shinigami techniques you are able to add to your RPC, so it is necessary for this to be done before moving on to adding Kidō and Abilities. After all of this is completed, inform a crew member and let them approve it for you.

Step Five: Role Playing

  • That's that, your profile should be done, and your division and rank should be in order. Now you can Role Play with the rest of the Guild!

Frequently Asked Questions

Below is a list of questions that do not have readily available answers, likely because they are not a part of the Rules, Member Guide, Profile lists, or any other thread. If you are looking for an answer to a specific question, try to find it in here before sending a message to a crew member. If you still can't find it, send it to us, and we'll be happy to answer it and then add it to this list.

  • Q: How can I become a Captain/Faction Leader?
    • Unlike most guilds, Bleach: White Chapters does not have a captain application option. That is to say, there's no formal method for applying to be a captain/person of power. It is unlikely that new members will ever become a captain unless they came personally recommended beforehand, so do not bother asking right off the bat. Due to the current size of the guild, I myself watch everything and keep an eye out for those I think will be good enough to be a captain. I generally grade members on activity, behavior, and role play skill, so keep those up and you shouldn't have any trouble. Do not ask to become a captain, I automatically assume that everyone wants to be a captain, so if the time is right, I will approach that person and offer them the position. If they decline, then I move on to the next person. While this may seem unorthodox, this method of picking captains has worked fairly well for this guild, as none of my hand-picked captains have ever left on bad terms and very few have fallen inactive.

  • Q: Don't you guys have Arrancar? I don't see how to be one.
    • A: We do, however making new ones is not available at this time. With the defeat of the Sephira in the Battle of the Seireitei, they have split up with only a few remaining survivors who may or may not make cameo appearances in future arcs.

  • Q: I've seen Vizard in the guild. Can I become a Vizard?
    • A: Yes and no. The only vizard that exist in the guild were created for storyline purposes and are still in the Gotei 13. Those that become Vizard will be for the same reason unless this guild suddenly has many members. as for right now, Vizard are hand-picked; it is not a rank available for everyone.

  • Q: Who or what are the Exaequare?
    • A: The Exaquare are a race exclusive to Bleach: White Chapters, and they are consisted of powerful psychics that serve as spiritual balancers on a scale higher than the Shinigami. Where Shinigami are tasked to keep control of the population of souls in both realms and slay Hollow, the Exaquare are in charge of balancing the population of creatures, both dead and alive, in all dimensions. Normally, the Exaquare do the same as Shinigami do; usher souls to the afterlife, but in the event that a single dimension's population gets too grand, they use special weapons to completely eradicate all traces of a certain number of a certain species, or more, of that dimension. This process not only physically removes them from existence, but also wipes them out of History forever wherein History is rewritten to fill the holes and gaps left behind by this person's disappearance. If, for example, Einstien were to be eradicated, History would be mended so that all of his achievements would come to light without him, and this change would naturally be instantly accepted by those that are still remaining, without the knowledge that anything changed.
