Before you give blood, they p***k your finger to test your iron. I don't know if they'd do that unless you were giving blood, though.

You can probably request a finger p***k...
but they may have to take blood later to be really accurate.

They finger p***k children all the time at WIC offices. Definitely ask and say if they want to follow up with a blood test later they can, if need be. I just had to be tested for cooties because of an exposure to bodily fluids at work. That was a lot of blood. I admited I'm prone to passing out so they laid me down on a table and babied me for a while before letting me sit up again. 3nodding
