Hello everyone! For those who haven't met me before, I'm Feather! I'm the new Vice-Captain of the guild, and I'm very pleased to be here to help make the guild great for each and every one of you heart Since part of our goal here is to make the guild a fun and thriving place, this thread is to ask for your ideas of what you as members of the guild would like to see. So tell us your ideas - what do you think would be fun to see? Is there a subforum you'd like to see created? How about ideas to bring in new members? It's all up to you! Each response will be read and seriously considered as an idea to make the guild a better place. So share your ideas, and don't be ashamed of any ideas you might have! We look forward to hearing from you :3

I would love to see a contest or two be done. Could tie it into the Hard To Match thread that was posted earlier where we have various notorious items for people to match. Maybe a sort of matching bounty hunt, so to speak.
Also theme weeks/ fortnights/ months would be cool. Not so much a contest, but just a relaxed occasion where a theme/ colour/ item is chosen for people to collaborate ideas on and combinations, en mass.
Those are a couple ideas off of the top of my head, if I come up with any more I'll make sure to bother this thread with them. biggrin

Featured combos or contests would be cool.
And for contests, you wouldn't have to own the items, since they made that new inventory search thing. You could just take a screenshot of your avi without saving (or the items you don't have will go away). biggrin

Up to date archive of combos. That was the original point of this guild after all.

We could have featured combo meet ups in towns or VH.
Announce it the day before so that we have time to change our outfits, though.

_____________ Featured combos sections would be rather cool. But if it's ging to be done, at least finish the threads and update regularly. Sometimes i feel as though some match threads get abadoned just when they're beginning to be interesting.

I have an idea to make archiving into a contest (with both rewards and penalties).
It means restarting the archiving from the beginning (with a head-start in points to all the lovely people who have been archiving up until now). The matches would be tektek-ed by the archiver on a "mannikin standard" (male or female base with white; grey; or black body dye only, according to what looks best for the match archived) with notations on who it was posted by, what page number it's on, and what thread it's from (we have the two Avatar talk thread and the guild one now). Points earned based on how many pages you take on and how quickly you finish them (limited time based on how many, etc.) with prizes for first, second, and third highest points every 100 pages archived or so.
This way people would be incited to archived both quickly and neatly, and that page stretching problem in one of the threads should hopefully be fixed (as each match would have it's own post).
What does everyone think of this idea?

OpaqueCheshire What does everyone think of this idea? It would take some organising and there's room for everything to go wrong, but if it means the archives will finally get moving: brilliant.

Maylily OpaqueCheshire What does everyone think of this idea? It would take some organising and there's room for everything to go wrong, but if it means the archives will finally get moving: brilliant. Plenty already has gone wrong with the current archive: there's a page stretching problem, everything from different pages are all mixed in and hard to find (not to mention to track), some people never finished their pages, and there's some overlap in the item archives because people didn't read the post before theirs before claiming pages or wait for me to check over the assignments and correct it before they began. I also intend to separate the colors more now that we have more items in specific colors. Pink and purple would have be separate threads, and mint/aqua will have their own instead of being lumped with green. There will be specific instructions and penalties for mucking it up or taking too long (which won't be an issue so long as the rules are paid attention to). They might be a tad annoying to go by, but in the end we'll end up with a better archive in a shorter amount of time.
