Zora is just an average girl who happens to find Rio lying injured on the ground one day and it messes up her whole life. She's a nice person so she couldn't just leave him there and stopped to help. Zora's mother insisted, after hearing Rio's life story, that he was going to live with them until something better was available.
Later, Zora ends up moving away with Rio and living in and out of hotels with him as he starts a career as a fashion model and has to travel around to different jobs. She helps Rio organise his jobs and money and he pays her to be his secretary. They end up being very close friends and Zora falls in love with him, much as she doesn't want to admit it. She realises later that she gave up everything she ever planned to do with her life to help him and wouldn't know what to do if he wasn't there.
Zora feels kind of sad and left out later when Rio starts starts dating Yuki, but she loves him enough to be happy for him and still hangs out with them as a friend.
Zora has a typical relationship with Yoshi, where they are close and love each other as sisters, but are totally different from each other and end up fighting a lot. Her relationship with Sakura isn't as close, but they fight less because they're more similar to each other than Yoshi is to either of them.
In the beginning of the story, Zora is wary of anyone who is "different" from her and is quick to judge people by their looks or actions. She looks down on anyone who does anything "bad" like smoking, drinking, etc. so she's completely disgusted when she first finds out what Rio does for a living. Similarly, she originally thinks of the members of VivieNne as bad people (because of how they look and/or act) but ends up being good friends with all of them. She eventually learns to accept everyone as individuals and realises her views were wrong and tries to stop judging people so quickly.
She's closest to Akemi and Karin, as friends, because she spends a short period of time living with them at Akemi's apartment and gets to know them better than anyone else.
