Mistress Moxy IIBlack-Embers48II Hi there! I've recently become very interested in these witchcraft cult/religions and I want to know so much more about them! Maybe even join?... But, I need a mentor or something... If someone would be kind enough to maybe help me learn more, I'd be so grateful! Please help me on my path of knowledge and self-exploration! Well,I'm new too,but I started off by going on websites that look pretty legit. Here are afew of them: http://www.witchcrafted.org/map.htmhttp://teenwiccangetaway.webs.com/Also,I read the book "The Craft" It's by Dorothy Morrison. Next,I look some things up on youtube. For example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8GqyJCUAgw&feature=relatedAnd I looked at some of the ritual videos and whatnot also. After that,I made my Book Of Shadows. I'm sure you know what Wicca is,but there are many different.. "forms" of Wicca. As far as I know,we all worship a God and Goddess.Their names usually come from Greek/Roman/Celtic mythology.I would say more, but it would take a long time to type.I just suggest you read the websites and book that I told you about/gave to you and start from there. DO NOT read SilverRaven Wolf's books..just don't.Okay I don't know much about the book your recommending but those websites are awful. I looked up their about Wicca and witchcraft and it's the generic misinformation this guild is against. I can't hear sound on my computer so I can't comment on the video. The bolded is the best advice you have given and I suggest you re-read the "Use of the Word Wicca" section of this guild. What you are describing isn't Wicca, it's eclectic neo-paganism, which is fine and all, it just isn't Wicca.

Well the thing on youtube is just a girl presenting her book of shadows and like what she has in it.I personallity think youtube is the best place to find information on this stuff. And umm..how are they not good websites??I looked at TONS of websites, and they either didn't work, nearly crashed my computer,or were obviously not worth s**t.Can you possibly give me some that are actually ok??

Because they'd been told it was true, and believed it, and repeated what they had been told. Because they want to make money, and that "Wicca" label sells books. Because they don't really care enough to understand what Wicca is. Because they feel entitled. People get misinformed and if they never really do much research, that misinformation gets passed on. And there are publishers out there who smack the "Wicca" label on absolutely anything.
