The Wrestling Observer is reporting that several higher-ups in WWE were surprised to see Kaval released from the company. It's also being said that the general feeling is that Kaval wanted his release from WWE and it was granted. With nothing major having been done with his character and no big plans in place for Kaval's future, the feeling seems to be that Kaval was frustrated and asked for his release. WZ reported yesterday that a source we spoke with who is close to Kaval echoed this sentiment, claiming that Kaval had indeed finished with WWE several days ago and felt that the company wasn't the right fit for him.

It's also being said that WWE is quicker these days to grant releases when talent asks for them as WWE feels TNA is no competition for them and doesn't care very much if talent ends up there.

The Maverick Jet
The WWE never seems to have anything creative to do with anyone half the time......maybe because the creative team sucks

- Over-focus on current upper card
- No build-up nor preparation for who's about to come to the upper card level
- Most people getting sporadic and flesh in the pan pushes at the beginning before being dropped for no apparent reason

Result:
- You've got talented guys who could be on top getting released because they're misused
- Most people they try to push to the Main Event scene are just not ready for it, so they're fed to the usual suspects
- No one replaces the usual suspects
