We have broken past the 300 member mark! (Now 302)
And along with the trimming of our userbase that's being Coordinated by Tessiebean, and the thread crackdown by Cerebral Ulcer, I will be working on revamping the major Admin-run threads, mostly in specific.. THIS one.
I feel that this thread should contain a bit more information about our guild, and maybe can benefit from adding of more features and links and whatnot and a more concise set of rules and try to compact it into as few threads and in as little text as possible, the keyword this month is 'streamlining', folks, and it's a good thing. 3nodding

We are planning on removing the two picture threads and the intro thread and creating a new thread where you fill in a short survey about yourself, display 3 pictures of yourself and if you have any added pics, you can display the links to your pics with *or without* a brief description beside each pic link. You will only be allowed to make one post and it will be your mini photo album/biography and you can add more pics or other tidbits about yourself in that post...refrain from making any double posts in this upcoming thread for they will be promptly deleted...basically, one post per person but you can edit your post to your heart's delight heart . If you feel the need to comment on someone's pictures to let them know how awesome they look, then please refrain from posting your fondness for them in the thread and just PM them directly...we want to get rid of the clutter and we're trying our best to make things organized, thankies ^_^.
Also I have an idea for a SnS event...since the Secret Santa idea managed to get a lot of people interested, I was thinking of making a Secret Valentine event...hopefully just as many people who signed up for the Secret Santa will be willing to sign up for this one as well ^_^
One more announcement...there will be a new contest to make the SnS banner....we may just have a contest every few months or so to make a new banner, that way all the artistic members of the SnS can show off their mad skills, but now we'll start off with this one and see if people are up for re-designing the banner every few months.

RULES: (Read them, Learn them, Follow them)
The rules are basically common sense things but sometimes people need to be reminded to keep the occasional n00b from f**king up the fun for the rest of us.
- NO insuting (ie: racial slurs, swearing at a person, etc)
- NO cybering (goes for couples or roleplayers. please keep it to PM's or chats outside of gaia)
- NO nude pics (Lingerie and boxer shots are fine as long as they are not too provocative.)
- NO sexually harassing other guild members. If you are reported for sexual harassment and it is true, you will be banned ON THE SPOT and then referred to the Gaia Mods. This also goes for general harrasment of ANY kind! we want a postitive safe environment.
- PLEASE if your pics are too big or you post more than 4, please link them so as to not kill bandwidth.
- Do not post a thread whining about how nobody loves you or you screwed something up, and then push people away for trying to help. Yes, people in this guild are here for each other - but no one wants to see "o no 1 luvs me!1oneone1!!1eleven!" okay? If I see any threads like that, I will not hesitate to delete them, and the other mods should not hesitate either. Consider this your warning.
- Do NOT turn every thread you post in into a war of "i luv u!" and "no i luv u more!" .. yes, you people know who you are. TearsofRavens has asked that I tell you - stop posting things like that in every thread you enter. Keep threads on topic. If you feel the need to dissolve into a lovefest, make a SINGLE thread for that purpose, and keep it in there. Anymore offtopic posts will be deleted.
- Everyone here at SnS is most certainly happy to get to know the new members, but please refrain from making a thread just to introduce yourself, that's what the intro thread sticky is for.
- In addition to that please DON'T post threads such as " So and So's room" If you want people to talk to you get active in another thread.
- Do NOT take out your anger out on anyone We are trying to make this place have a friendly atmosphere, and there have been a few people in the past who have let their anger/frustration get the better of them and proceeded to insult their fellow SnS members. THIS WILL NOT BE TOLLERATED. If you can not conduct yourself in a civil manner, or take the heated discussion elsewhere *meaning via PM*, then you will be given a warning and if this behaviour continues, the mods will get together and discuss you possibly being banned. We all can get our points across without acting like a bunch of asshats kthnx.
- NEWBIES if you want your friends want to join don't just ask us to invite them, we like to see the reason why each of you would like to join and to make sure you have a good reason. So please just ask them to submit an app just as you did.
-Please don't quit the guild just because you're mad at someone or get depressed and then ask to re-join when you feel better. It's very inconsiderate to the mods. If you feel that way just take some time away from the guild. Thanks again
- SPAM=ANNOYING When you post a thread, be sure to have some sort of question along with it instead of just making a statement about something...the whole point of making threads is to spark conversation, not for you just to state whether you like/hate something and nothing more. If you post a spam thread, you will be asked to edit your post to include a question(s)...if you continue to make spam posts, they will be deleted and you will be warned. Continued spam will possibly get you a temporary ban, so please...put some time/thought into what you post about so that everyone can add their two cents about what you have written.
- Everyone has opinions, but take a minute to think whether people asked for a harsh/rude opinion We are a bunch of opinionated people here...we've gone through our own life lessons, we've dealt with our own hardships, and some of us have become wiser for going through said crap. But keep in mind, not everyone wants you to lecture them with what they should or shouldn't do. Advising someone is fine, but wait for someone to openly say "Any advice would be great" or ask them if they'd appreciate your view/opinion on things and PM them privately...going and lecturing someone/ridiculing them for the path they chose/insulting them for making an unwise decision *in your eyes* is NOT NECESSARY. If you have something important to say and you think that person could benefit from your words of wisdom, at LEAST take the time to be CIVIL about it...do not take jabs at their expense or be outright snarky/bitchy just because you would want someone to be that harshly blunt with you...it's NOT about YOU, so please...be considerate of your fellow SnS member's feelings and be respectful to them. There has been a bit of rude comments going around and the mods would like for this outbreak to be nipped in the bud. If any of the mods come across a post that we deem inappropriate, we will inform you to rephrase your thoughts (not alter your thoughts or change them, but get ride of the bitchyness)...if you do not, your post WILL BE DELETED and you will be warned. Any further outright rudeness/disrespect will possibly get you a private PM from Large in Charge with a severe warning, and any continued posts will most likely get you banned. This guild is about support, not outright bashing someone because YOU have something to say and you don't feel like being respectful when you give your opinion.

Since this is a hangout guild, member can treat it like a mini gaia. Got art or poetry to show? go ahead.

Role play? sure but make sure you keep it in those threads.
Just remember to keep with the rules and respect one another.
