I have a number of different books that I write in (and always with a quill or fountain pen because handmade paper makes me feel artistic). I hope one day to locate some nice coloured inks and use them to decorate my pages with illustrations. It'll be something arty I've not tried before. It's never really occurred to me to use a digital copy but now that I think about it, a digital copy stored offsite could save a lot of time if my house was ever to burn down or get flooded or something like that (hey it's Australia, anything like that could happen sadly...)

Perhaps, for back-up... But personally I feel that a book like that should be kept as a physical thing. I plan to make a new one this summer, completely hand-made, paper, binding, cover and all. It's kind of like... You wouldn't want to walk into a garden and it be digital. It's kind of like that. I don't know. I do keep things on the computer, but they aren't necessarily things I care about.
