A simple recipe good for random noms.

  • One 12oz box of pasta
  • One 14.5oz can diced tomatos
  • One package (four pieces, 12oz) chicken sausage
  • vegetable oil

I prefer tricolor rotini for mine, and the tomatoes I use generally come with herbs or a bit of extra-mild chili included. Chicken sausage comes in a variety of flavors, I prefer garlic & herb or sweet Italian.

  • Set the entire box of pasta to cook in a pot of water
  • while the pasta is cooking, cut the sausage into pieces
  • cut half the sausage pieces into halves, and the other half into quarters
  • with a bit of oil, toss the sausage into a wide, deep pan and begin frying
  • be sure to keep an eye on the pasta while you cook the sausage!
  • If the sausage finishes before the pasta, reduce heat and keep stirring
  • drain the pasta (if the sausage is not done yet, leave the pasta aside until the sausage finishes cooking)
  • mix pasta, sausage, and tomatoes together in pan
  • remove from heat
  • serve immediately or store for later
