I just thought of something for IP.
Using the ranking system as a sort of base, There can be sort of... limits to god modding in a way. For instance, the closer you are to being an actual ' God ' , or at least considered one by way of the ranking, the more you can do with the power at your disposal.
Of course, I need to look at the exceptions. There are always prodigies, those granted power by the gods, the ones who just rock the power, and various other ideals that engage their power, and how it really affect everything in the world. In a way, The ranking system will give you a range of ability that you can do.

Alright. Yummy, you have uncovered the very reason why I go into very extensive detail with the divisions. Now, I'm not saying that the lower tier fighters won't have the ability to use their abilities to an extensive degree, as usually with "weaker" fighters or lower tiers, the basis of the attack comes more from creativity and what I like to call "unique play". In essence, the same thing, only creativity deals with the actual situation being drawn, while unique play is the manner at which it is brought about.
Short example, two fire characters making a "condensed fireball." The high tier fighter does this by simply forming the small ball, forcing the energy into it and throwing it, low focus needed for a fast result. A low tier fighter could essentially do the same thing, however, for them to form the ball first and then pump in a crap ton of energy would not be nearly as fast. Instead, what they do is create a large amount of fire ("fire energy" if you will) and then suck it all into one spot. Same affect. Similar speeds, different degrees of focus. My system takes that into account.
Now there is a small thing I would like to note. I've noticed in a few fights across gaia that people have been having "low tier" fights were reality warping happens.... often. In most cases, jumping in, out and between dimensions for doges and attacks. I ask simply, outside of the use of teleportation, how is that low tier? Obviously, certain movements and attacks are going to be a bit higher, but things like fatigue and usage come back into play to denote the low tier aspects.
As such, with the IP's future standard, along with the ranking base, which is exactly what it was meant to be, we can reduce incidents where god-modding and meta gaming come into play.
Dalcain
In the classical elements, void and sky are the same being that they are the element of "out there". Space is void and the sky stretches into space. Void doesn't always mean null or empty. The same as silence can still be, to some degree, used as a sound. The absence is the evidence.
Ah, see, Dalcain, you were talking about classical elements, while I was encompassing all elements. For that, I must retract a few of my statments, as what you were saying before become much more true to the natures of the elements and powers. Unfortunately, my introduction to void was the all encompassing power of reducing things to nothingness. So we had conflicting concepts. I honestly never knew void was a "classic element" or that sky extended into that. So I've got some research ta do.
So I would have to re-read through your findings a bit to correct muhself. .
