Me and SausageLinks went doing this and all we did was Cannon Rush them to a bloody death. Of course, this wasn't easy as we all know (THE A.I. APPARENTLY HAVE THE EYE OF SAURMON), but we won. What do you guys do to kick the A.I.'s teeth?

I saw a video of HDHusky completely owning the insane ai no problem and it made me think it isn't actually that hard, but I've yet been able to do it, 'cause I suck.

I 6 pool them to death. Haven't tried it against Insane A.I. And by the way, Insane can actually see what you're doing and collect resources much faster, so cheese is kind of hard to pull off.

Husky is alright but he's not actually THAT good of a player, he spends his time commentating starcraft instead of playing it. He's only like mid Plat level.

I wish Day9 would show more of his own gameplay footage, now THAT man is the true guru.

Cannon-rushing Insane AI is rather easy as long as you begin below the ramp and move up from there. The only time I ever lost against Insane AI from cannon-rush is if they choose to go stalkers and I position my cannons wrong (or bad timing).

In terms of actually fighting them 'legit'; it will take some time (a very, very long time) before I would be capable of doing so. Afterall, they collect more minerals than you do. :<

As for outmatched; I'm cheap - I just use the Burning Tide custom map. Resource collection ftw! The opponents aren't smart enough to pick up the minerals on the low-ground after every lava erupt. biggrin

The trick that Husky used may work now, but the AI was updated so that enemy workers will attack any nearby buildings to prevent cheesy stuff like cannons or bunkers. I tried many times, and it simply wasn't happening.

Instead, I used Terran and just walled myself in on one base (and soon after expanded to an island that they never even tried to take). Pump out the siege tanks, along with mass marine and medivac, and wait for them to kill each other and run out of minerals. Worked like a charm.

Hi guys I'm new lol,
But yea Husky pwns. He's actually on daimond level currently but out of most spectators he's not the best. Yes daynine does pwn more but I think some of you left out HD. HD is pretty sick (he's like 3rd in his daimond league) and he's entering a Texas tournament right now lol.

As for the insane AIs, I haven't gotten accustomed to them yet. Just figured out how to destroy Very Hard AIs on 1v1s. But now I have an idea of how to get them and will apply it pretty soon.

Btw guys I'm HumanScience, 449. twisted

I've done it Husky's way for the insane ai FFA and it was super easy even though the workers tried to attack my cannons.

But I think we're talking about 1v1 insane ai, which is a lot harder I'd say to accomplish, though I might give it a shot using the same sort of idea of just turtle up heavily with cannons at the front door until I get carriers just to see if it works.

I was talking about Coop Insane A.I since me and Links were kicking it up a while ago and I noticed how cheap the A.I. was. Anyway, thanks for all the ideas guys~

The Insane A.I's get 7 Minerals per a trip instead of the 5 that we all get. So they already get a HUGE economical advantage.

The only way I've been able to beat them is by cannon rushing them. Every time I try to beat them any other way, I lose.

I saw a video of somebody beating 2 AI by making them zerg and he himself being zerg.
He just build two spine crawlers at each mineral line of the AI and was able to win.
The AI wasn't able to kill both spine's in time. They both had to be build at the same time too. I'm not sure if it was against insane AI. I don't remember.

Ah, I see. I have beaten all races on insane with Zerg. But they weren't real games. It was me 6-pooling the s**t out of them and keeping constant pressure with a flood of lings. If it gets into the late game your macro just won't be able to keep up. Too much of a mineral deficit.
