I can't find the thread.
The most annoying thing about the AA isn't that bad avatars almost always win. It's that the people who make them either disable comments or delete them.
DISABLING COMMENTS: Says "I won, I don't give a s**t whether it's good. I know it's not."
DELETING COMMENTS: "Maybe the people who see my entry will think people have onyl given nice comments. Plus I can't respond to/ignore people who are mean."
You won, take responsibility.
Suck it up and deal with the comments.

Someone reported me once for being 'rude' to them with no reason or whatever in the arena. I was just judging their avatar and said it shouldn't win because it was just one item. She then proceeded to tell me how it doesn't matter because it was for a good cause and run her mouth through comments on my profile. I responded with telling her I was being honest and no matter what the cause a one item avatar shouldn't win in arena (there was probably more, I just can't remember). She deleted my comment and didn't respond again. I also never heard from a moderator or received a warning, so obviously I had done nothing wrong and she was just trying to justify a crap entry rolleyes

Ok, so this guy added me because he liked one of my entries, and he was a pretty frequent AA'er too
So I accept
Next week he asks for a vote. OK, I give him one
Then for next OVER 9000 DAYS he friggin' PMs me for votes. STFUUUUUUU. I always forget to reply to PMs because I hate them lolol
So I go and look at his friends list and he's added like all of the AA regs.
And he finally placed in top 10, I critiqued his entry not looking at the username.
Then deletes me off of his friends because I didn't suck up to him. Disables all of his comments for winning entries, and flames all of the critics in the AA forum.

You should make your goal more like winning 3 prestigious contests instead of placing in the arena. Possibly even consecutively. ;D The arena's are a ******** joke. Even if you do place, you can't be certain there weren't 10 avatars somewhere in there that were better than your entry. The arena is a joke.

Arena's ARE a joke, which is why I hardly if ever bother with them anymore.
You're free to rant here if you like because this is specifically about the comments- I won't force you to condense it back into the sticky ;X
I dislike the people who delete their comments or maliciously attack other users- it's one of the reasons that the arenas aren't worth the effort anymore.
