rmcdra Aakosir rmcdra Eponishta rmcdra Uh... Not to put a damper on things but I hope that's not the Black Dog. The description the OP gives of this creature sounds like the Black Dog. Are you talking about the pad foot? I don't see how they are similar, other than color. Ah okay rechecked the lore. You're right. Nvm. What is the lore? Now I'm interested. bad wording on my part. I meant I relooked at the descriptions given of Padfoot. Eponishta was right, I was jumping the gun. Well I wanna know now. I looked it up and only found "a big shagy black dog with yellow eyes that follows a person"... Not much of a lore.

Pad foot are a type of Black Shuck sightings, or, for lack of words, big black hounds with fiery eyes that pursue the damned and dying as an evil omen of death and disease.
These are spirit animals, but they are not in the same category as spirit guides and protectors. They are messengers of death and ill fate.
pad foot can be seen as white shaggy dogs with fiery eyes.
Either one has been known to physically attack people in legends and follow them without making sounds or leaving tracks. However one sighting of Old Shuck allegedly has him leaving flaming paw prints on the doors of an old church.
Sometimes these things are called Satan's Familiars or The hound of Satan.
Interestingly long haul truckers often talk about seeing the Black Dog while they were hauling a load over night in places. This, of course, has been linked to driving while sleep deprived. Accidents and troubles followed those who saw or tried to miss hitting the black dog.

I would venture to say that it is just as likely Azriel, the Angel of Death, taking on form, as it is Satan's Familiar. though, I also would venture to theorize that much of what Satan has been accused of was actually by other beings, Azriel being among them. Satan is, after all, the Scape Goat.

I take it back. I have heard of that. Just not in a really long time. But yea, he's never been attacked or chased so most likely not that.

Satan is, after all, the Scape Goat. I was under the impression it's Satan's job to lead us astray rather than him being some sort of uber-evil entity. Plus the whole angels having no free will blasts a hole in any 'fallen angel' theories. Oh, and Lucifer =/= Satan, different entities they be. Azreal just lives in hell, he's not classed as a 'fallen' angel...poor guy gets a lot of bad rap for, again, just doing his job. If I was going to be afraid of any angel, it would be Uriel...his job is to take us before the Lord to be judged at armageddon. Think how impatient he must be wink --- @ Aakosir...I'm fairly sure I posted something about this on RST, so I wont re-hash what I already said smile But I will say black does not automagically = evil. I happen to know a black entity, and the worst that can be said of him is he can be a sarcastic prig xd

Since it is not a color, but a shade. People still don't get that right... But I feel better about it and I believe he does too. A lot of "If it wanted to hurt him, then it would have" made us both realize that is definitely the case.
