According to this article on yahoo.com, lead has been found in many juices, baby foods, and canned fruits. It also says that it's nothing to worry about. I thought lead was dangerous to consume? Do I smell lies??? Or is it truly something to ignore?

Small doses of lead are "near" harmless but prolonged consumption would still kill you. And if it's in baby food, has to be a bunch of lies.

Anything is dangerous in too high an amount. Lead is the same way.
I've read that heavy metals aren't absorbed well by the digestive tract. Of course, chronic exposure can cause accumulation. Lead (and mercury) are most dangerous to infants and children. Heavy metal toxicity in adults produces different symptoms and adults are apparently better at excreting heavy metals from what I understand.
If you're afraid of trace heavy metals you probably shouldn't eat any fish either. I've read before that just about every body of water in the US (and let's not forget the oceans in general) has traces of mercury. Coal-fired power plants are good for that.
