My story is a romance, and here are the names of the characters. A small and brief description is added with every name

Main girl: Elinata Sun. Half-French, Half-American. She is quite a smart girl, who tends to be on the punk-ish side sometimes. Can also be as innocent as a kitten.


Main boy: Adam Sinclair. Elinata's arch nemesis and love interest. He tends to tease her about the simplest of things, and smirks at her whenever he sees her. He secretly wants to become a writer.

Elinata's mother: Jolie Sun. Elinata's French side comes from her mother, Jolie. Jolie is usually very chirpy and happy, so the house is never upset unless something bad has happened. Tends to worry about her daughter.

Elinata's father: Paul Sun. Elinata's American side comes from Paul. He is a well known business man, who is neither rich, nor poor. He treats Elinata as though she were an angel.

Adam's mother: Susan Sinclair. Adam's abusive mother. She tends to often call him a jerk, and asks him why he can't be like his father.

Adam's father: Micheal Sinclair . Beats his son often, and disapproves of his choice of career. He hopes that his son will give up the writing career and take over the company.

Elinata's best friend: Ethan Freyer. Like a brother to her, and cares a lot about her. Ethan beats up any guy who tries to annoy or flirt with Elinata.

Elinata's girl enemy: Julie Scott. Interested in Adam, and is glad to see that he can't stand Elinata. She pulls her hair often, and sticks gum to it. Elinata often punches her, and gets away with it.

Elinata's girl friend: Heather Mitra. A simple and smart girl. Heather enjoys spending time with Elinata. She is quite rich and often buys Elinata clothes and accessories.

Adam's best friend: Tom Gray. The guy all the girls are after, and is intrigued as to why Elinata and Heather don't lke him. He seems to be interested in Elinata, which causes Adam to be somewhat jealous.

I'm still thinking about appearance. But do the names suit the personalities and such? Thanks for any help.

Also, I've read some stories online that involve unique names that are made into sweet nicknames.
E.g: Analeigh - Ani

So, I decided to think of a name for my own character. I usually like names that sound good, and are easy to remember, so I decided on Elinata, with a nickname of Eli and Elina.

Thanks again for your support, and I'm hoping to start on the book soon. I'm definitely going to make a rough version first, as I always do, then make changes when I type it up.
