Ripeti was bored. Playing with just Mama was all well and good when he was a kit, but he wasn't a kit anymore, even though Mama said he'd always be a kit to her. And Ski had gone off to try to...Ri didn't even know what Schizzo, his stupid baby brother, was off trying to do. All he knew is that he'd be back soon, being his stupid baby self with Mama. And Sienna was a girl, and she hardly ever wanted to play with him...
Well, like always, he'd just have to make his own fun. Grinning to himself, Ripeti started away from the Lunarie tribe center and went to explore--oh yea, he'd need to talk to Daddy Ari about his being a Scout...
Eh, another day. Bouncing happily along, Ripeti was nearing the edge of Lunarie's lands. He hesitated, knowing that he wasn't technically supposed to go past them, but...
But what sort of adventure involved playing by the rules, right? Nodding to himself, Ripeti took a deep breath and stepped off the lands, grinning widely when nothing exploded and Mama didn't appear outta nowhere to yell at him (not that Mama ever yelled) or Daddy Ari poofed up and told him to get back home...
He was a grown up now. Nobody could tell him what to do!

Adelaide knew she probably shouldn't be up so late at night, but she was too restless. She wanted to do something fun, and sleeping was no fun. The little kit scampered through fields of wheats taller than she was, paying no real attention to anything. She did, however, notice the surprising amount of nearby foxes.
"Company means entertainment, right?" Adelaide said to herself. In her short life, she hadn't met anyone. She didn't know what it meant to have parents or siblings and the like. She wasn't even positive what those things were. The kit did know that birds always flew around together, squirrels always ran up trees in pairs, and even flowers grew in patches. She hadn't met anyone like herself yet, though, and all of the aforementioned beings didn't appreciate her company.
Somehow, as if on cue, one of the "nearby foxes" was even nearer than she anticipated. So near, in fact, that he was suddenly within her line of sight. She could see him in the moonlight, clearly a fully grown with a colorful pelt that was mostly red, much like her own.
None too stealthily did Adelaide trot up to the fox's side. "Hello there," she greeted him boldly.

Ripeti's ears twitched as he heard the pitter-patter of paws, but he jumped all the same when the little girl fox appeared next to him and spoke.
Ripet laughed. "Hi there, kid!" He returned, a grin lighting his face. "Whatcha doin' out here all alone? Ya ditch your parents?" Ri grinned impishly, then sat down and wrapped his fluffy tail around his feet, looking curiously down at her. She looked...well, kind of like him, but her fur was a darker red, and she had blue stripes. He was totally jealous of the blue, it looked so awesome!
"What's your name? I'm Ripeti, but you can call me Ri! That is, if ya wanna go adventuring," He grinned again, curious to see how she would handle his...well, his him-ness.

The fox's grin was contagious, and Adelaide was very thankful to see that he was as friendly as she was. "Well, I'm just about always alone," she answered. "Never knew my parents, so I guess I ditched them long before I can remember." She shrugged, wondering how common it was to ditch parents before you know them.
"My name's Adelaide! You can call me whatever you want, pretty much," she introduced herself with a laugh and another shrug. "And I love adventures, so I suppose I can call you Ri! What kind of adventure did you have in mind?"
