Taron nodded, still grinning as he'd been unable to ignore the fact that Aurora had said 'we' could keep looking. 'We!' Like, her and him!
He liked the implication that he wasn't necessarily left to travel alone anymore. Plus, Aurora was nice, and understood the secret menace of dirt.
Back on topic, Taron commented, "I guess I haven't actively been trying to find any of the Krokotas in the area I've noticed. I should probably do that, rather than waiting to just stumble across someone instead, huh? Even if it worked today," he chuckled, smiling at her again.
This was a nice enough area, though. There had to be some nice Krokotas calling this their territory, maybe even a nice pack would let them hang about and join one day.

 "Same here," she replied back. "I was more worried about getting the dirt off of my fur then anything else," She admitted. She then suggested, "Since we both have really not searched this area well, maybe we should search this land together."

"It would be nice not to have to do so alone," Taron admitted honestly. He didn't like being by himself very much, not for any significant length of time at least. He could go hunt for himself, of course, but...he liked having someone to come back to afterwards.
Nothing like sharing a good meal with a friend, either.
"So, which direction do you think we should try first?" he asked his new friend. He smiled at her, then glanced up and down the river. "We could travel along the river for a while. We could keep clean that way, and if anyone is in the area, they might come to the river for a drink or a bath. Could be better than wandering all over the place at least."

A small smile crossed her face. She was up for that idea, the idea of not having to get dirty once more. Staying in the water would help that, that was until they would come upon some sort of mucky area, but they would deal with that later when that time came. "Sounds like an excellent idea to me," She responded back as she began to move to her feet.

Taron rose as well, resisting the strong urge to shake. Mustn't shake water on a lady. Also, he was standing by just in case she needed any help out of the water. As soon as she was up and steady, he moved safe distance away and started to shake the excess water from his dripping fur.
He was left looking a bit fluffy, but still wet, and his hair hanging down in his eyes. Blink blink. The male Krokotas tossed his head, flinging the hair out of the way, though it still clung wetly to his head otherwise. At least he could see now.
He trotted over to rejoin Aurora with a grin. "Ready to go?"

While Taron left to shake the water off of himself Aurora did the same. Shaking the water from her fur, leaving her looking like a semi wet while rat. "Yes I am, Lead the way," she replied back.

(Maybe we should wrap this one up with them starting their search, then follow up soon with one where Taron can introduce Aurora to Sam after his meeting with her? ^^ )

Taron half-bowed, waving a paw ahead of them both. "Ladies first, of course," he quipped with a smile, waiting then following after Aurora, stepping calmly from rock to rock amidst the bubbling waters. Maybe they hadn't found a permanent home yet, but already, the male Krokotas felt better than he had in some time, just having a pleasant travel partner with with to search for one. Surely, with both of them working together, their goal would quickly be within sight!
