Rikku

User Image User Image

Unceremoniously, Rikku sat down in shock -- trying to fully absorb what she had just heard. Numerous casualties... Three high ranking Avalanche members dead -- one of them Rikku had recently befriended. Feeling like the weight of the entire planet seemed to settle on the Al Bhed's shoulders, Rikku slumped forward putting her head in her hands. She failed spectacularly. She couldn't get a mission to start. Numerous people are dead already at the hands of the Beast, and she returned with absolutely nothing to show for it. The blonde quietly began to sob.

"A-Are you alright? " A nervous, gentle voice spoke softly only a few feet from Rikku, had she looked to the source of the voice, the young Al Bhed would see before her a young girl in her late teens, kneeling down a respectful distance from her, the girls eyes of forest green looked at her with great concern.Dangling slightly from the white and golden pink trim of her hood was the deep apple-red color of her bangs.

She had only been here in this world for two days, and upon that time, as she walked through the plains of the lands she had come across a small town, Kalm. From there she had learned in those short moments of her stay where she was, and even the terrible news she still couldn't find herself believing in.Her world was not filled with monsters, nothing of what was explained to her was so much as heard of, thus she just couldn't believe. Not yet. Still, she couldn't ignore them. Something in her heart told her maybe, somehow even with no fighting skills to her name she could help these people. As many said in her world, her herbalist skills were amazing. She had saved many people, and maybe here she could do that very same thing. If they would have her. "..I over-heard what happened...I'm so sorry.." She quietly said again, unsure how she should react. Inside, she wanted to hug the hurt and tearful teenager, but that may only cause for a awkward uncomfortable feeling for Rikku. They didn't know one another at all, and while the girl with the red hair was always so kind and open, she knew not everyone else was always very comfortable.

Yuna meanwhile, knelt down beside her cousin, she was unable to say anything as the terrible information kind of played over in her own head.Though she was however, able to put her arm around her cousin, and pull her close to hug her.

[[ ooc: I've been wondering this for a while. How do my formats look on everyone's screen? I have a really, really big TV i'm using as my monitor, like, 55", so while it shows perfect on mine, it might not show the same on everyone else's. Is it out of place for anyone ? Like, here is how it should look, how it looks on mine. ]]

Rikku

User Image User Image

Still sobbing, Rikku tried to explain -- both to her cousin and this new girl, "I... screwed up.... I needed to get vital info on .... this Beast and I screwed up! We needed to know everything we could on this monster ... to save the planet... Because of me screwing around... We didn't get what we needed... Everyone was depending on us! And now... people are dead because ..." The petite dreadlocked blonde broke down into incoherent sobs.

Before both Yuna or the red-head could say a word to Rikku, it was Sephriea who spoke up as she took a step toward the sobbing teen. "Don't beat yourself up about it. "Gee, she sounded so kind. "Even if you did get into the ShinRa Building, even if you followed out with your big plan, it would have not helped any. It wouldn't of stopped what happened. There is nothing the ShinRa have that we don't already know on the Beast. You would have only endangered your lives going there, so be thankful whatever distraction came to you. Maybe it happened for just that reason. Nothing's your fault. The Beast showed up here for one purpose, which seemed to be going after the leader, Zack. After he attacked him, My mother naturally, not thinking, attacked the beast in defense of her husband. It was because she attacked that he took her life. Anyone else who attacked brought that death on them self. He wasn't here to kill anyone else and only seemed to be interested in killing anyone who acted against him. So, you see. It couldn't be helped. Stop thinking about it, what we do need to think about is how to destroy him, nothing else matters right now. " And that, was Sephriea's way of 'calming' someone down, or trying to.

The mysterious young teen of red-hair suddenly got back to her feet, whatever was going on the girl had plenty of friends to help her it seemed, so as quickly as she came, she was gone the next.

Zen

"I won't let you harm Rei..!"

User Image

Sitting on the edge of a bed in a vacant room, a teenage boy dressed in something resembling high school apparel looked down. He was looking at a locket, opened--showing the picture of a young, teenage blonde girl. She was dressed in similar attire. "...Rei..." He sighed. "How long has it been..."
The doors slid open, as everyone's favorite SeeD member, Squall, walked in. "You feeling better?"
"I'm alright." He closed the locket.
Squall's eyes caught the picture of the girl, but he didn't pry--it wasn't really his business, and he wouldn't like it if someone asked for such details from him. Plus, though it may be surprising to many people, Squall wasn't a terribly social person. "If you're from another world, we'll take you to Avalanche Mansion. That's where most people gather."
"...Alright. Thank you for your help." Zen said politely.
"It's my job." Squall said indifferently. "We'll-"
"Sir!" A student at the academy rushed in, breathing heavily. "Sir!" He took a deep breath. "Sir..!"
"Just spit it out already."
"R-right!" The young student took a deep breath. "There's an army of monsters making their way towards Esthar City!"
"What...?" Squall paused. "...Alright. We're heading to Esthar. Double-time."
"Y-yes sir!" The boy rushed off just as quickly as he came.
"..." Squall covered his face with one of his hands, as he thought to himself. (Most of the SeeD members are still healing from the battle with the Beast...) He thought for a moment. (If it really is an army... this might be a problem.) He turned to face Zen. "We have to take care of this first, then we'll take you to Midgar."

"Monsters..." Zen stood from the bed. "Let me assist you. I can fight, and I can use magic."
"..." Squall put a hand to his chin, thinking. "...We could use the help. It won't be easy." Especially considering most of his allies from his own world were enjoying the festival, or otherwise occupied. He had a serious shortage of allies.
"Don't worry. I can handle myself fine." Quite well, actually. He had been through quite a lot in his own journey.
"...Alright." Squall finally said, lowering his arms to his side. "It'll be about ten minutes until our arrival. Make sure you're ready." He turned, leaving the room to make his own preparations...
"..." Zen reached under the bed, pulling out his two crossbows. "Some things never change..." He checked them, to make sure they were still in fine condition. "Rei... stay safe. I'll find you soon..."

Squall Leonhart

"I'm not gonna die here. After all... I've got a promise to keep."

Squall crossed his arms, glancing to the side as the stranger addressed him. "It's not really anything special."
"Are you kidding?! This thing is amazing! I'm lucky you were in the area, not just because my wings were getting tired, but now I can be on this cool floating city!!" Apparently Corrin found Balamb on his way from the Northern Cave. "Hey, can I come with you for a bit? I don't want to get off!"
Squall let out a soft sigh. "Where are you heading?"
"Oh, uh... Marvel City."
"We can take you by there."
"Really?! That's great! Thanks! You're so nice."
"Yeah... sure." Squall covered his face for a moment, closing his eyes. (When did we become a taxi service, anyway...?) It really did seem like Balamb was ferrying people around pretty often. "See you." He turned, beginning to walk away.
"Huh? Hey, wait! Why don't we talk for a bit?"
"...About what?"
"Oh, I dunno... anything?" Corrin's face turned to a cheerful smile. "It'll be fun! You can tell me all about your world, and I can tell you about mine!"
"...Sorry, but I'm not the most social guy you'll ever meet."
"Oh, you remind me of Azura. She doesn't really approach people much."
"And you remind me of Rinoa. She's also loud."
"Haha, she sounds pretty fun. Do you have a girlfriend?"
"..." Squall crossed his arms, giving Corrin a look.
"...What? That's a perfectly regular question!"
"On what planet...?"
"Th-this one! Or, wait... I guess I am from a different world. Uh, sorry if I offended you or something."
Squall let out a short sigh. "Don't worry about it." Honestly, why did he always get stuck with such... lively people? It seemed to happen no matter where he went. Not to mention he was dating a girl who was about as lively as it got.

Poor ol' Squall, so taken in DEEP conversation with the cheerful, happy go lucky young man, that he wouldn't see the creeping blue sorceress sneaking closer...and closer...until..! His shoulders were suddenly grabbed roughly, shoving him forward to give him a good scare, though since she was still holding onto him, he wouldn't actually fall! "Loud, am I?! .....But i'm a special kind of loud that you just L-o-v-e! Isn't that right?! " She let go, giggling as she turned to look at the new guest with a bright smile. "I'm Rinoa! The Loud one. Nice to meet you!" It was getting a liiiittle to quiet around here with just her liveliness to keep things alive.
"So, I kind of maaaay have over heard a little bit." How long was she stalking them, lord only knows! "You mentioned Azura? How is she these days? I haven't seen her in months. She really loves her world of water.." This could be interesting real soon. Rinoa had never met Corrin's Azura, and she didn't think that maybe, someone else out in the vast world, had that very same name. But at the same time, the Azura she knew, was also pretty avoiding of people, and she did seem to stay at sea or her lonely island more then she spent time on land anymore. This situation was quite a unique one. Both Azura's had a strong connection with water, both had long beautiful blue hair, and shared a similar distance from others. It was likely to get anyone mixed up!

Squall Leonhart

"I'm not gonna die here. After all... I've got a promise to keep."

Squall let out a loud grunt as he stumbled forward, but he managed to catch himself before he stumbled too much. "I think you answered yourself." He said in response to her question about her being loud. The question she said rather loudly! Turning to her, he crossed his arms, giving her a look. "Tolerate would be a better word for it," Though his tone didn't really change, Rinoa probably knew him well enough to know when he wasn't entirely serious. Maybe even joking. What a shock.
"I'm Corrin!" Corrin responded cheerfully, smiling at her. "I guess I'm a loud one too. We're like two peas in a really irritating pod! Haha!" He sure was a casual one, wasn't he. "I guess I'm some kind of prince, but don't worry about that. We should all be friends! Things like station never really mattered to me much anyway. I guess that's why I married my maid." Yeah, if that wasn't a very obvious tell, nothing would be. SO many people were against him marrying Felicia in the beginning, and how it would look, but he didn't care. He loved her, and that's all that mattered to him. That's all that should ever matter, at least from his perspective. "...Er, what? Azura is in this world? I haven't seen her here..." This was certainly news to him. "Do you know where she'd be now? I need to-"
"I'm guessing it's a different Azura." Squall interjected.
"Er, is Azura a common name around here...?" It seemed bizarre to think there were two Azuras, both connected to water. Which one came first...?
"I wouldn't know. You aren't from Serenity, right?"
"Er, no. I'm from Nohr. Though if you really want to get technical, I'm from- well, actually it's kinda a long story. You see-"
"The Azura Rinoa talked about is from Serenity. She can turn into a mermaid."
"Whoa, seriously?! That's really cool! There are mermaids in this world? I wish I could do something that cool." ......Oh, Corrin. "...Oh, I guess I can turn into a dragon, but being able to swim around in deep water and stuff sounds way cooler!" What a simple outlook he had.

Rinoa lifted her hand to cover her silly giggly moment. Why did she seem so full of energy today? More so then she had been in a while! Though she did have a lot of fun teasing Squall, her teases were just her extra bit of love to a not so affectionate boyfriend! "Were even, then? I have to tolerate 'whatever' every few hours in the day, you know! " She smiled at him with a playful wink.

Turning now to Corrin, her smile grew even more cheerful. He really was a lively one, maybe even more so then Zell, or even Laguna! It truly was refreshing to not be the only loud one on Balamb Garden now! "Oh, we can make quite the team. The defeat of our enemies brought on by irritating them to death! " As he went on to explain a little something of himself, Rinoa ..well, she wasn't TO surprised to hear of his royal status, there were so many of them around already, she wondered why so many prince's, princess's and even king and queens were showing up in this world! "Wonderful to meet you, Corrin. Hm? You married your maid? ..........." She paused... "That's the cutest thing I've ever heard! You really are a good person. I don't think I've ever really heard of a royal prince marrying his maid..even in fairytale books! You have a good heart, Corrin!" She really wanted to say how romantic it was, but..with Squall there, it might become amusingly awkward for him, and she couldn't torture him that badly!
As they came upon the topic of Azura, Rinoa was about to say something when Squall suddenly spoke up. "Huh? A different Azura........" .....Well, that would be kind of embarrassing, just how many people had such a unique name? At least, to her ears it was very unique. Soon enough, she would find that the name really wasn't so uncommon after all the more the two spoke. "Ahaha.. Another Azura in the world..I thought the name was one-of-a-kind! I guess I was wrong.." Corrins excitement of hearing about their Azura being a mermaid made her smile in amusement. "Yeah, well, just her as far as I know! Serenitian are really amazing! Each one seems to have a unique form and abilities. There's Unisha, very long pink hair, she's the queen of her kingdom Serenity and can turn into a Unicorn Pegasus. Her sister is Phoenix, who can turn into a giant beautiful Phoenix! Unisha's youngest, Aiko, can shift into just about any animal, and her son Kaden, shifts into a gorgeous Wolf! There is also two Angels, Isabel and her daughter Hana, and son Nero who is a shy God who never shows himself..but loves to drop things on peoples heads.." She did look up quickly, just in case! One could never be to careful when mentioning Nero's favorite prank!
Once she knew she was safe, or so she hoped, she would glance back at Corrin. "You would fit in well with them, a dragon?! That's so cool. Show me when we get to Marvel! ....I mean, if you're okay with it??" She really hoped so!

"I make my own fate!"

User Image

"You really think that would work?!" Corrin was quite the naive one, wasn't he? "Oh wait, you were just joking. Haha, I mean, I knew that too!" Growing up detached from the world in a fortress did that. He was a very naive person by nature, but boy was he optimistic to a fault. "Nice to meet you too, Rinoa," he said kindly, his typical smile on his face. "I-is it?" He asked, that smile remaining. "Well, I'm glad you think so. I don't know if it would make the best storybook romance per se... I just did it because I love her. I grew up in a fortress where I was never allowed outside, alienated from the rest of the world for years. But she's always been with me..." Even though his early life wasn't exactly the best, he remembered it fondly in a few ways. His life may have been better if he had been raised in Hoshido, but then he may never have met Felicia. And he didn't want to think about that. Besides, it all worked out for the better in the end. "Her name's Felicia and I'd love to introduce you. She's... kinda klutzy honestly. Maybe not the best Maid in the world, but you should see how strong she is! She's such a small girl but she's way stronger than me! It's crazy!" Poor Felicia. At least she was capable in battle! "And we've got an adorable daughter too--Kana. She's closer to my age than you might expect, but I hear that kind of thing is pretty common in this world." Yeah, the kids from the Deeprealms fit in very well with all the time traveler children in this world.
"Wow, the Serenitians sound so cool and interesting..." He said, almost sounding in awe. "There's even a god?! That's amazing! He must be so strong. Oh! Uh, before I forget, do you have anywhere I could get, uh... a pot for a flower? Or something? I went to a lot of trouble to get one for Felicia, and I'd like it to be as healthy as possible."

(You even went out of your way to get some rare flower for your maid wife...?) Honestly, it was the most over-the-top sweet thing he had ever heard. Prince marries his maid then does things like that for her! "Sure, just head that way and ask someone for help. They'll know where to go. Tell them Squall sent you." That would make them more inclined to help.
"Sure! Thanks, Squall. I'll be back in a bit!" He waved at the two, taking off where Squall motioned him to while clutching the flower so protectively near his chest. It was almost silly-romantic.
"..." Squall glanced around casually. Seemed this area of Balamb was pretty empty. No one else around.
Rinoa would feel a hand gently grip her arm, pulling her towards Squall, as he pulled her into a gentle embrace. His hand came to gently rest on the back of her head, pulling her gently towards his chest as he held her close. "...Sorry. I know I haven't made much time for us lately. ...I love you. Don't think I don't. You mean more to me than anyone else. Rinoa..." He paused a moment as he held her close. "I may not be as romantic as... some people..." He wasn't the type to run while clutching a flower to make sure it stayed in good position! "But my soul is yours. You know that... I know I don't show it enough, but.... you know I'm not exactly the best with words." He was always in his head. Maybe a bit too much. It made it hard to maintain a healthy relationship sometimes, but he just had to do his best. Surely romance couldn't be more difficult than defeating Sorceresses who had control over time. ...Right?

Rinoa blinked a moment, before falling into a soft fit of giggles. It was honestly adorable, he definitely wasn't of this world! Hopefully he didn't get into TO much trouble, a naive, kind prince such as himself might not have a lot of luck with some people in cities like Midgar. She wasn't all to familiar with Marvel, so she could only hope that city was a lot better then the gloomy city Avalanche called home.
"I think you already do! " She paused, letting him explain his past of growing up, it was hard to believe someone with such a bright and kind smile as his, was alienated from the world. He was strong, for sure. In heart, mind and body. Growing up with such a loneliness didn't make him lose himself despite never getting to see any further then the fortress he apparently grew up in. "I'm sorry you had such a terrible experience, but i'm glad you have this wonderful life now! That's all that matters, right? She sounds like a lovely person, I can't wait to meet them both! " Rinoa nodded. "It kind of is, heehee..There are a lot of children from the future here now, I mean, so many I've lost count myself. They all seem to vary in ages, which is a little scary, some are very young. Squall and I have two our selves! " She seemed rather happy about that, there was no hiding that big smile on her face the moment she said those words, not that she was trying to hide it! "They're both in their late teens too, Sylvanas and Leander. Back in the city of Midgar, Sylvnasas owns a small cafe' called the Shooting Star, so be sure to tell her I sent you if you are ever in that area! " He would be treated like gold just for being a friend of her parents so it would be worth a visit someday when he felt adventurous! Of course, there was one young daughter Rinoa was unaware of, Sylvanas didn't exactly tell her there was anymore!
"I thought so too! " Who wouldn't want to have abilities of shape shifting into such amazing mythological creatures? Or to be a God? To good to be true.
Then came his question of a flower pot, whoops..Maybe she was talking to much, keeping him from preserving that precious flower. Before she could speak however, Squall pointed him into the direction to find his next treasure, and before she could say another word, he was off in a run..clutching that flower to his chest while he ran. Yes, Corrin was a interesting, entertaining young man!
And so....so was alone with Squall. Ah, to be alone with Squall, it was always a heart fluttery moment! Even more so when she was suddenly, gently pulled toward the blue-eyed love of her life, and into a even more loving embrace. Rinoa's heart was dancing, these were especially rare moments that she didn't get as often as she often would like, but at the same time she understood and accepted it.
Rinoa returned the sweet embrace, as she looked up at him with a gentle smile. "You never have to apologize to me, Squall. I would never doubt your love. " Her arms tightened around him a little more, as if she were hugging him a little tighter, though not enough to make it uncomfortable. "Just stay yourself, You know I love you for who you are. I wouldn't want you to change anything. You never have to worry, just stay my Squall, I love your 'Whatever's', and even the annoyed faces you make!" Her smile became more playful. "Hee,hee, you're right. Your soul belongs to Sorceress Rinoa..I have no intention of letting it go!" She was obviously trying to lighten it up in a playful manor that wouldn't keep him so nervous or uncomfortable. She knew just this small display was hard for him, but it also meant the world to her.
Releasing one hand from the embrace she held him in, Squall would soon find her finger lightly press against his lips in a shh gesture, before a moment later, removing it and leaning upwards.."Then the best way to not deal with words is...this cure..!" And as if it wasn't obvious already, Rinoa would raise a little to her tippy toes, and Squall would soon feel the softness of her lips against his..
