Tower of Ashes
A long long time ago, this tower was a centre of worship to the legendaries that shape the world. Then one day, it was burnt down mysteriously, the causes unknown.

Today it stands abandoned, its walls and floors blackened and broken. Tread carefully, for it is not entirely stable and you would not want to fall. Ghosts inhabit this place, said to be the spirits of those who perished here long long ago...

Legend tells of a great bird that gave life to three Pokemon who died in the fire.

Lars & Autumn & Zeke

Autumn was tending to her house garden, when the door was knocked upon. The grass was glistening, and it was cold and damp to touch. She had finished watering everything not too long ago. A small hose lay coiled up in the corner, a few droplets of water still dripping slowly from the end of the nozzle. Autumn snarled at the door, not really feeling like answering it. Zeke had been laying in a patch of wet grass, letting his hard dry body soak some of it up. Autumn had complained to him about this, and pointed out that he had a pool of water in his room. But Zeke just looked at her, starry eyed, and Autumn gave a huff, giving up. Zeke got up and scurried to the door, not wanting Autumn to have to answer it anyways. How could he keep her safe if he allowed her to answer every door that was being knocked at? Who know who was on the other side. Zeke shook himself a bit, letting the little drops of water fly everywhere. He couldn't help being damp though, it made his body kind of shiny anyway. He used his big claw to open up the door. It squeaked open. It's hinges were brand new, and not yet worn in. An excited looking Murkrow was on the other side of the door. He was almost jumping up and down. "Hello! Hello, hello! You are Team Management, right? I heard from a friend of a friend that you might be able to help me!" Zeke forced a friendly smile, but really he was side glancing over to Autumn. He didn't want her to get angry and scare their new client away. He also couldn't really match the Murkrow's enthusiasm. Did he want to come into the house? Could Zeke invite someone in? He decided against it. "Yep, that's us and we can help you. I'm Zeke. The Team leader is in his room right now, but I can go get him." "No need, Autumn grabbed me already." Zeke jumped, not knowing Lars had been right behind him the whole time. The white and pink Sentret pushed Zeke out of the way a bit, and looked at the client. "I'm Lars, Team Leader. Who are you?" Lars had said that more condescending than he meant too. Lars had been working on being less awkward to clients, but he hadn't gotten it down just yet. The Murkrow's head cocked, and his excitement settled for just a minute. But it came right back as he started talking again. "My name is Kirk and I'm a treasure hun-...er...collector. I would like you guys to go to the Tower of Ashes and retrieve my treasure!" Lars' ears drooped like they so often did, "You want us to go on a big ol' mission, find an awesome treasure, and hand it all to you?" The Murkrow nodded excitedly. It was Autumn who then pushed herself past Lars and Zeke, "We'll do it. You better hope there's a treasure there though." "Awesome! Thanks! I've heard tales, and my sources say it's on the 20th floor! Good luck!" The Murkrow attempted to take flight, and flailed away. Autumn grabbed her sack, filled it with apples, and their last two Oran Berries, and handed it to Zeke. "You boys ready for this?" Zeke looked over and saw Lars nodding, and did the same. Autumn gave a crooked smile, and turned to leave. She shouted something about closing the door over her shoulder, and Lars waited for Zeke to leave to do so. Zeke felt kind of ashamed. His big claws kept him from being able to close their door. He scurried along after Autumn, sack on his back. Lars was a bit behind him, but he didn't wait. He was too scared that Autumn was going to turn around and yell at him any second now, for being too far behind.

Floor 1: 5

They got to the entrance of the Tower. There was a strange haze coming from somewhere, enveloping the team and making each of them kind of dizzy. Autumn squinted her eyes, "Do you remember which way we came from...?" Lars shook his head, but he also knew it didn't matter. They'd be able to teleport away after they grabbed the stupid treasure. He eyeballed the sack, wandering if it'd be big enough to hold the treasure? He shook his head and focused back on the mission. "Everyone ready?" Autumn crossed her arms, impatient to get inside and get this over with. Zeke nodded slowly, not too sure. It was his first mission, after all. And he was extremely tiny. Lars understood why he would be nervous. That's when it dawned on poor little Lars, all three of them were extremely tiny. He hoped it wouldn't ruin everyone's motivation. Although, looking over his team, he knew none of them had too much motivation. He sighed, and raised himself up on his tail, in order to help him grab the handle and turn it. The door made a strange click, and then opened slowly on it's own, crying like and angry and hurt cat the whole way, 'rrrrrreeeeaaaaaar'. Lars started laughing uncomfortably, but he also couldn't help it. The sound had been so strange, so unreal. Then he felt two little paws on his back, and he was shoved into the Tower.

Zeke's little claw feet could be heard clicking against the floor as he scurried. It made Lars kind of frustrated, the noise would have them all noticed right away. Although Autumn was glowing awfully bright, and that didn't help either. They might as well have come in with a marching band, and a 'kill me please' sign that was big enough for everyone in the Guild back home to see. His mind began to wander the Guild, and he thought about how he hadn't made any friends. He had been too busy trying to help Autumn to set up their Team Room. Did that mean Autumn and Zeke were his only friends? Cause they weren't really all that nice to him...Well, Zeke usually was. A strange sense of sleepiness was coming over Lars' eyes...what was this? It was then that Lars realized there was a different sound. The sound that had been bothering him hadn't been Zeke's scurrying feet, it was a different sound. It was a 'shwick' sound that happened every 25 seconds or so. Lars stopped and turned to see his two partners, they also seemed tired and out of place, their thoughts far far away. Something pulled on his brain, trying to make his thoughts go back to the guild, but Lars shoved it away. He broke through the sleepiness, and wheeled around on his heel, and then picked his-self up on his tail, looking around, "OI! You wanna mess with me and my team? Do it so we can see you! Fight, don't mess with us from the shadows!" There were some creaks and such, but nothing happened. Nothing...where had the shwick sound gone? Hmmm...Then a strange, cold, disgusting thing was going up Lars' back. It made his fur stand on end, and he felt shudders going throughout his body. He had been licked. Goosebumps kept his hair standing up straight. He made a 'blegh' noise, and turned around quick, just in time to see the Gastly laughing and fading away. Autumn and Zeke were both drooling a little, heads down. Had the Gastly used hypnosis on them? He must've...he had to fight the Ghost type quickly, else he'd put Lars to sleep too, and the Team would be back in the Guild before the even got through the first floor of their mission. Lars used Foresight. He needed to be able to hit the Ghost type, he needed this to be a fair fight, since it had quickly taken an advantageous turn for the Gastly. Out of the corners of his eyes he saw movement. Was he not alone, or was the Gastly messing with him? It was then that Zeke jolted awake, and looked around, his gaze stopping on the drooling Autumn. "Wh...what?" Lars didn't have time to explain, so he didn't bother. Instead he leapt and performed a Quick Attack in Zeke's direction. Zeke's eyes opened, wide in fright. At the last second the Corphish ducked, confused as to why his partner was attacking him, and Lars hit the Gastly, who was about to Lick and paralyze Zeke. Zeke quickly realized this and grabbed Autumn, scurrying away. The Gastly giggled as it was hit by Lars' powerful attack. Why? Lars didn't know, but it angered him pretty badly. "Why are you laughing?! I'll teach you something...or two!" Zeke rolled his eyes, not even sure what his Leader was talking about anymore. It dawned on Zeke that Lars might be scared. His team had been put to sleep, leaving him to fend for himself, afterall. Zeke looked at Autumn. He wanted to join the fight, but he was afraid to leave Autumn by herself. But then he pictured what Autumn would have been saying, had she been awake, "Get in there and fight, p***y." Zeke nodded, placed her limp and sleeping body down carefully, and hopped into the fight, claws ready to perform a Vice Grip attack. Lars was dancing around, avoiding Sucker Punch attacks. He needed Zeke's help, or at least that's what Zeke repeated to himself. It was then that he realized that the Gastly was giggling and laughing. He looked over and realized this was fueling Lars' anger. Zeke nodded, catching up on the situation, and then he leapt and twirled in the air, releasing a beam of bubbles at the Gastly. The bubbles hit the Gastly hard, popping loudly and strangely in his face, making him stop laughing, and instead closing his mouth and making a strange face, like he had just taken too big of a bite of food he had never tried before, and found it too be too sour and not to his liking at all. It was a strange face, and it amused Lars. Or maybe the Gastly's pain amused Lars. Or maybe Lars was just happy that such a simple move had ceased the horrible laughing. While the Gastly was busy spitting and wretching, Lars pounced and stuck his claws out. He hit the Gastly multiple times with furious claws and paws, swiping him again and again. He hit the Gastly about 7 times before the Gastly turned and flew up and out of reach. They had to have almost KO'd by now, Zeke was sure. But that's when the sound of the Gastly's laughter start up again. Then it flew past them at incredible speed, and stop right where Zeke had left Autumn. "Was your friend naught right here before?" Lars looked at Zeke, hate and spite and anger in his eyes. Zeke's eyes widened. Had she woken up and left, maybe? No...no, she couldn't have been kidnapped. She was a fighter, she'd be fine, right? Lars took steps closer to Zeke, "You just left her there...?" Before Zeke could even begin to answer, the Gastly spoke up. "Well is this not just a savory moment! I have won! My comrades must have come and picked her up, just like I asked. She was a strange one, I could tell as we watched you three walk up to our humble abode! You do know her skin is going under a lot of stress? From all that paint? Or perhaps you did not know her secret." Lars looked horribly confused now. "Nay. You did not know. Well, regardless, she has the blood of the King Charizard in her! And we shall be keeping her for a while." Lars began to speak up, but the Gastly faded, giggling the whole way. Lars turned to Zeke, anger still evident in his eyes. "I'm so sorry Lars. I just...I figured if she was awake she would have been calling me a pansy and told me to get in the fight with you." "But she wasn't awake, she was asleep. And this building is crawling with ghost types...Bah...let's just get on with looking for her, ok? You can make it up to me later." Good, thought Zeke, he's putting it aside for the rest of the mission. We can just focus on getting Autumn back.

The two walked around in silence, looking in every corner of every room. For a clue, for something. Sometimes they stopped moving when they thought they heard something, just in case they heard a voice, or perhaps Autumn's screaming voice. But every time it turned out just to be a loose door or wind up against the window. Lars kicked a box over in frustration, and out popped a Rattata. It was yellow with brown stripes on it's back...It was Pikachu colored? How strange. But there really wasn't any time to think about it, since it had jumped and attached itself to Lars' face. Lars was flailing his arms around, making muffled sounds and trying to figure out what had just happened. Zeke stifled a laugh, and pulled his claw back, waiting for the perfect moment. He released, and let his claw hit the rat as hard as he could. It squeaked, and Lars let out a muffled scream. Zeke had kind of just smooshed the Rattata into his face, it had to have hurt. But it worked, the Rattata released it's grip and ran back a few steps, hissing the whole way. Then it turned, arched it's back, and began to chant at them. Zeke's head cocked at the strange little dude, and wondered why it was there. "Hey little buddy. You sure have pretty colors." It's eyes bolted over and locked onto Zeke. "Little buddy?" It was a girl. A pissed off one. "I was sleeping you jerks! Why the hell did you hammer me like that?" "You were clawed onto my leader's head?" Lars was swiping at his face still, the pain still stinging him, it looked like his eyes were watery. The Rattata rolled her eyes, "Why are you guys even here?" Zeke coughed and looked over at Lars, was he supposed to say? "We were here, to find treasure for our client. Now we're here because Autumn, a tiny Charmander, part of our team, has been stolen." The Rattata giggled and snorted, "Can't even keep track of your own team members? The stairs to the second floor are right over there." Lars nodded, and walked away. Zeke forced a smile, waved awkwardly, and followed after Lars.

Floor 2: 4.5

They had found and climbed up the creepy, weird staircase. It creaked with each step, and Lars found himself grateful for being tiny now. Any bigger and they might've broken right through these stairs. Lars wished they could have been considerably quieter, but it was too late now. They were up on the second floor now. It was a loooooong hall way, with at least 10 doors on each side. Staggered. There was a dusty old red rug going up the middle of the hall, grey tassels on the front and back end. How stereotypical of a place like this, huh? But just as Lars thought this, it changed. Zeke jumped. It was now a big huge room, with arched windows and cobwebs. A completely empty...dojo type room. Was it an illusion? Or was the other visual an illusion? Man did Lars hate Ghost types. And he couldn't wait to get one on his team. The stair case was about 300 feet away, but it was plain as day to them. Lars knew it was a trick, but decided to walk that way anyways. No one knew what was about to happen. They got about 10 feet in, when there was a creak from above them, and an Absol fell from the sky. It landed perfectly on it's feet, and wood rained down around it from the floor it broke through. One hit the Absol in it's back, but the Absol was NOT phased, not even a little. The floor made horrifying sounds, and Lars was positive it was going to break. But it did not. It's giant paws slowly moved it towards the two, who were too confused to know what to do. "You two have a long way to go. Autumn is ok, but might not be for long. She has awakened, and put up a great fight. Perhaps if you cry loud enough, Ho-oh will save you." Lars was confused, was this guy going to help them? "Now, prepare for battle." It put it's front half almost down to the floor, butt in the air, and it began racing towards them. It went in for a Pursuit, but faked Lars out and went in for a bite instead. The Absol's jaws came terribly close to crunching down on the poor Sentret's body, but Lars had been working on his Speed back at home and was able to get out of the way. Why would the Absol kind of help them, then attack them? Why would he tell them to hurry and save Autumn, and then try to eat them? It made no sense to Lars, but Lars refocused, he was in the middle of a battle, and had to focus.

The Absol was taking leaps back, and was rearing it's head in circles. Lars knew what was about to happen, the Absol was about to release a Razor Wind Attack. Lars grabbed on of Zeke's big ol' claws, and started running. They had to get out of the way, that wasn't something that they wanted to directly hit them. The Absol released the attack, and the room all of a sudden seemed to be trying to spit the two out. A horrible nothingness was stinging at their eyes. Zeke screamed out for Lars to shut his eyes, which Lars already knew. He almost barked back for Zeke to keep his mouth shut, but thought better of it. After the wind began to settle, Lars spun and threw Zeke at their opponent. Zeke understood immiediatly, and got his claws ready for a Vice Grip attack. Zeke clamped down his large claws onto the Absol. One on the absol's head scythe, and another around the throat area. The Absol shrieked and shook, but Zeke was securely on the Absol. The Absol growled and hissed, and raced towards the wall, ready to smash Zeke into it, but realized that would hurt itself rather badly too. Zeke tightened his grip, making the Absol rear up on it's back legs, not knowing what to do. So it used Psycho Cut. It stood still for a moment, focusing, and then with his brain made blades that hit Zeke close and hard. It was enough to make Zeke loosen his grip and run away. He was 'tatata'ing and running away. The blades had been too close to gain any speed, so it wasn't too damage dealing. But it had done it's job, and tore the Corphish off of the Absol's head. Lars smirked, Zeke had dealt a good deal of damage. Lars went in with a Quick Attack while the Absol was busy deciding what to do with Zeke. "We're wearing you down, you big b*****d!" His Quick Attack hit the Absol square in the stomach, making Lars pretty happy. The Absol spat and made a strange noise as he was pushed back. The Absol quickly regained his composure and looked at Lars, "Watch your language! We shall meet again, soon." The Absol jumped over them, and up the stair case at an incredible speed. Lars ran after him, with Zeke close in tow. However, just as the reached the staircase, the floor went back to how it looked before. With the hallway, the carpet, and all the rooms. Lars looked up the stairs and after the Absol, but decided to check the rooms before advancing after his chase. No sense anyhow, the Absol was probably 3 or so floors up by now. He knew the lay of the house, where as Lars and Zeke did not. And what if it was a trick? What if the Absol want Zeke and Lars not to find something on one of these floors. Why else would he take off like that? Lars and Zeke tried every door, but almost every door was locked. There was only one door left to try. It was a different brown then the others, it had a reddish tint to it. It had thick chips of wood missing from it, like someone or something had tried to get in a few times. Lars sighed, knowing that this door was going to open. And he knew he wasn't going to like what he found. Zeke nudged him with his claw. Lars propped himself up on his tail, took the knob with both paws, and turned it. The door made a soft click, and Zeke slowly pushed it open. It made no sound at all.

They peeked in. What they saw was a relatively small room, with a big bookshelf in one corner. It was stacked with thick, title-less books. All different colors, but all dulled and had a layer of gray dust. The rug was an ugly purple, and had a strange light black design on it. It looked like a bunch of Unknown dancing around something else in the middle. But it was too old and blurred to figure out what it was. There was a wooden fire place, and a fire burned softly, and flicked out of it's little cave. Trying to make a grab at a pile of books that didn't sit too far away. One book lay open, and Lars made out old black and white photo's, photo corners holding them into place, instead of the clear plastic that usually held them. The pictures were too far away to make out. There was also a huge wooden chair with leather cushions not too far away from the fireplace. A small wooden table right next to it, with more books and a candle that wasn't lit on the table. The chair creaked, and a strange voice chiped up. It cracked at first, letting everyone know that the voice had not been used in ages. "Why...hello there. You seemed to have looked past the illusion. My name is Willow." It sounded as if she had been crying not too long ago. "This place you have come too...it's not a normal place. It is not often you can come here, and gain something, without losing something else. You came here as three, but you are in my room as two. The Pokemon here do not play around. The smell on you...you've been playing with Prosper the Absol. He's a nasty one. You can never tell which side he is on. Though I suppose he is just on his own side. He causes misery to everyone he passes by. So...what has brought you here?" She flew through the back of the chair. She was a very small, rather skinny Misdreavus. Lars was a little spooked by the fact that he could see right through her. Like she was there, but not there. He shook his head, trying to regain his grip on reality. "We are here on a mission. A Murkrow named Kirk sent us here, in order to find his 'treasure'. He told us he heard rumors of it, and wanted us to get it for him. However, almost as soon as we got here, Autumn was taken from right under our noses." Willow nodded slowly, listening very intently. Was she searching for hidden meanings? Or did she think they were lying? Was she another enemy? They were only on the second floor and so much had already happened. Did Lars have faith that he and his team...or rather, him and Zeke could do it? "You seem very troubled. But, Lars, try not to lose yourself to all of this. This Tower is a challenge in itself. It challenges your wits, and your personality. Only the strong survive here. I seem to be able to sense that Autumn is strong enough to do so, focus on finding her and your treasure, but do not lose yourself in it. A great god lives in this Tower, do you expect not to feel it's power? As corny as this is, believe in yourself and your team Lars. Not just in this Tower, but outside of it too. You have three strong members, do not lose sight of that." She looked over at Zeke and smiled, "You and Autumn both come from strong well-known families. You will exceed on this team Zeke. Now, I've already said way too much. Continue on your mission!" The room vanished. Zeke and Lars were back in the huge, long dojo type room. It was empty and kind of eerie. The room they had been in just a moment ago had been warm and safe feeling. Willow's voice had been soft and soothing. It had given Lars the strength he needed to get through the rest of this mission. He looked over to Zeke, and nodded. The two made their way across the room, and up the stairs.

Floor 3: 4

This floor was different. They had come up into a big living room type place. It had a few doors, but Zeke insisted they search around the place before exiting. There was a long old red velvet sofa with a wooden frame, carved designs all over it. It had wooden claw feet. Lars had a feeling Autumn would have loved this elegant piece of furniture. Behind the couch was a long wooden bar that was half of a square, pretty much. It had a foot rest all around it, and round seats bolted to the floor all around it. Zeke went around back and checked all the cabinets. Nothing but dust and old drinks. Zeke sneezed, and Lars saw a plume of dust above the bar. They were both too small for it, which was making Lars a bit more anxious the longer they stayed. After their search, Zeke made his way over to one door, but stopped before he got very close. "Uh...Lars? You might want to...come check this out." Lars looked over, ears drooping. He was a little nervous as to what Zeke was talking about, but he made his way over after a while. Slowly, of course. His feet padded against the floor, but it made almost no sound. Dust matted the fur on his tail. He knew he'd need a good cleaning once he got home. Zeke raised a claw to his head, and knocked on the side of his face where one would normally have ears. He was telling Lars to be quiet and listen. Lars perked his ears up, and immediately heard something strange. Two Pokemon seemed to be fighting each other. Not in battle, just with words. "It was that good for nothing Prosper! I bet you he made this hole. There are stairs RIGHT over there! How hard is it to go over to the stairs?" A sound behind the voices was also strange. It was like the sound of wind, but strong and swirling. "Well...I know his actions can be kind of...destructive. But...I think Prosper is very important to this whole operation. I mean, he's a great fighter, only the best can get by him." "You're just afraid to say anything nasty about him. You know he's a bother." "Well...I just don't like that he goes against Ho-oh's orders. We're here to protect Ho-oh and this old tower, right? And his fighting skills really help protect Ho-oh. Just not the tower sometimes." The other Pokemon huffed, and then there was a slish noise, and seconds later, a plunk. The angry Pokemon had pushed the other one into the hole that the Absol had made not too long ago. Then there was the sound of grumbles, and then that Pokemon was headed towards the door that Lars and Zeke were positioned at. Zeke instinctively grabbed Lars and scurried quickly behind the bar. Together they climbed into a dusty cabinet and Lars tried to quietly close the door, but it only squeaked. "Stupid baka. What he ever did for our Ho-oh is beyond me. Now I have to fix the stupid hole, and miss out on greeting our new Princess." Lars looked over at Zeke, surely he was talking of Autumn? It was then that they realized the Pokemon was behind the bar, opening cabinets and looking for something. A small talon poked into their hiding spot, and flicked open the small door. A huge Skorupi stood there, staring at them strangely. "And then here's the other two. I'm surprised Prosper didn't just kill you on the spot. You two don't look all that strong." Zeke flung himself up and out of the cabinet, and used Crab Hammer right on the Skorupi's head. The Skorupi grumbled something under it's breath, but Zeke had got him good. It jumped back and aimed itself perfectly at Lars, and released hundreds of tiny little pins, going breakneck speed, ready to go right through Lars. Lars' ears drooped, he propped himself up on his tail, crinkled up his tail a bit, and used it like a spring to rocket himself up and away. A few of the pins got into his tail and feet, but they hadn't hit directly enough to go deep. However, landing on his feet hurt like a b*****d, and Lars had to roll onto his back and start picking out pins quickly. Zeke charged after the Skorupi, buying Lars some time. However, the Skorupi had just enough time to throw down a layer of poison spikes. Zeke stomped over them, he had been going at a pretty high pace, and hadn't been able to stop or slow down in time to avoid the spikes. However, he kept going, picking up the speed again, and charged right towards their current opponent, claws open. He got close enough, slid to the side so he half of a half circled around the Skorupi, and then he used Vice Grip. His claws clamped down on the Skorupi, one a little below his neck, and another around his tail. Isn't that what his dad had taught him? With Pokemon like Skorupi, always pick it up by it's tail. The Skorupi flailed around his tiny little front arms. Zeke laughed a little at the huge Skorupi. He clamped down his claws a little tighter, and the Skorupi stopped moving. Flailing meant Zeke would tighten his grip, the Skorupi quickly learned. "Son of Agron." Zeke smiled at the sound of his father's name. Then he turned to Lars, what now? Lars decided to test out the move he had been practicing at home, went around to the other side of Zeke, and then charged. At a certain point Lars jumped into the air, and then slammed his body into the Skorupi. He had never believed in kicking a Luxray when it was down, but this Tower had given him so many problems already. The Skorupi's eyes went silly, and Zeke let go. Zeke and Lars went back to the door they had been listening through before, and peeked in. The room was pretty small, and a chair was at an awkward angle, not enough to fall into the hole, but pretty close. The hole was huge, and getting around it would be a pain. But there was the stair case. Lars sighed, and wondered if they should check the other rooms before heading up the stairs. But Zeke was already through the door, and hugging the wall.

"This looks pretty sucky, Zeke. Think we'll make it?" Zeke was at the wall, slowly scooting to his right to get around the hole without falling in. "I think we will, yes. Just don't look down." Too late. Lars had made his way to the edge and peeked down. A floor down, where the Absol had landed and fought Lars and Zeke was a Pokemon, sprawled out, a small pool of blood from a head wound forming. "Oi! Oi you, wake up!" It was a Nincada, it stirred slowly, looked up, then scurried off. Strange. Was it scared of the two? Or perhaps off to warn someone of their presence? Lars sighed, and went over to the wall. He looked over at Zeke, who was half way there. He was in the tight spot, the hardest spot. His two tiny back legs would wiggle and squirm for a while, before finding a stable footing. Lars sighed, and wished for the first time ever that his tail wasn't so bushy. He hoped it would not be his downfall. The Nincada had survived, but had left a nasty pool of blood behind. He closed his eyes, gripped the wall tightly, and sucked in his belly. Just like Zeke, he began scooting to the right. Slowly. Never putting weight on his right foot until he was sure the floor was stable enough to move his left one. It was a boring and long process, and it wasn't too long before he got to the middle. Zeke was across already, and shouting instructions. However, Lars' blood was pumping too fast and hard to really hear Zeke. Had Lars been breathing at all? All he could hear in his ears was his own blood, flowing too fast, too hard.

"Lars....LARS!" Zeke's voice came back to him all too soon, or maybe not soon enough. Zeke crashed into the corner. He fell back, and was all of a sudden scared he had fallen through the hole and started screaming and flailing his arms, searching for something to grab on to. After a while nothing happened, and Lars opened his eyes. Zeke was over him, staring at him like he was a loony. "You made it dude. A while ago." Lars rolled over. He was right. He was far away from the hole in the floor. He sighed and chuckled, getting up from the floor. "Well. I think this place is making you lose your mind." Lars was too happy to care, and waved him off as they made their way up the stairs. Little did Zeke know that it was him who was about to lose his mind.

Floor 4: 3.5

They entered through the arched door, but found something extremely different then they were expecting. It was a long white hallway that almost seemed like it did not end. There were arches all along the left wall, a dozen or so, Lars couldn't count. But only one seemed to be on the right. There were no doors, just white arches. It was cold and strange. It wasn't wood like the other floors. What was this? Lars was on the right, Zeke on the left. They started walking, they were both anxious to get to the first arch and find a clue to help them understand what this floor was about. Lars had already concluded that this must be an illusion. How had they seen through the last one? Willow hadn't warned them about this, had she? He didn't think so...But he remembered her telling him not to get lost in it, and he stayed as grounded as he could. They reached the first arch.

Through it was a whole other world. There were sandy beaches around a huge lake. Tall green trees. But the view was changing. It was like they were on the back of a Swellow, swooping down to go on vacation. It dived down into the trees, and to where the bushes met the sand. There stood a huge Crawdaunt, and it resembled Zeke a lot. The colors and such. But there was something else that Lars couldn't quite place that was different. But he wasn't given much time to figure out. Zeke was there now, scurrying up the his...father. Lars looked at the real Zeke, but his claws were on the floor, mouth open, lost in the picture through the door. This made Lars nervous. They weren't supposed to get lost in it, right? Is that why Willow had stressed it so much? Is this what she meant? Did she have a feeling this would be one of the tests they were put through? Lars turned to look at the one arch on his side of the hall, why did he only have one? Since he had already prepared himself to not get lost in this place? Maybe that was it. Lars grabbed Zeke. One last look through the door told Lars that this was Zeke's memory of his Dad teaching him how to swim. "Zeke, you have to stay in reality. These are just memories, just illusions to try to make you go crazy. They're weeding out the ones who aren't strong enough, but Willow said you and Autumn both were stronger than this place, can you stay with me?" Zeke gulped and nodded, shaking himself back into reality. "Of course, that just...surprised me." The Tower had knocked Zeke's feet out from under him. Lars wondered what the Tower had in store in his one archway, but decided to try and pass it without looking at it. But they soon reached another arch in Zeke's life, and Lars learned that it was impossible for Zeke not to look and stop. It was another memory of his dad teaching him some sort of move. The next couple were all the same, sometimes with his mom looking on from the back, proud just like his dad. It didn't get hard to snap Zeke out of it, until his sister came into the picture. Lars learned all about Sophia as they passed by more and more arches. She had been adorable, and colored like that of a Skitty. She was a precious gem to both Zeke and his father. No one bothered them, they were untouchable because of Agron, Zeke's father. They were well known, and basically a rescue team. Or at least Agron used to be the leader of one. Lars got to watch Sophia grow up a little, but it wasn't long before Zeke's memories turned dark. Each arch took longer and longer to get Zeke past. Zeke's eyes got watery, and sometimes he'd try and go through the arch. But Lars knew he couldn't let Zeke go into the arch. Knew that the world beyond the door wasn't what it seemed, and Lars didn't want Zeke to get trapped. It was a trap, after all.

They were coming up to Lars' door, but Lars was nervous that Zeke was too weak to be able to snap Lars out of it, like Lars had been doing this whole time for Zeke. If Lars wasn't there, Zeke would have been in one of these arches by now. Zeke was getting kind of pale, a few tears had already escaped him. Could they handle this? There did not seem to be any more memories for Zeke to go through...or was there one more? Lars thought he had seen an archway, but when he looked again it was gone. He shook his head, and pressed on. They got to his arch way. Lars' hands went up to his face, his ears perked up as straight as they could, and all the fur on his body stood on end. Zeke didn't want to look, he wanted to be able to pull Lars out of it, however...He was drawn to it. It was like it was calling to him. And then, what really made him look, was what happened next.

"Look! Look! What an adorable baby...don't you think so, Lars?" Zeke turned around to see a red and grey Charmander, with spikes and fire and a black stripe. It was a weird demon thing, but definetly adorable, in it's own way. But where was Autumn? Why could they hear her voice? The fire the baby had spat out faded and died away, and behind it was a horribly small black Charizard that didn't look quite right. Was that...? No...Zeke looked at Lars, but he was just as confused. Was this their future? But when Zeke turned back, it was something else. It was the Autumn they knew, and it looked like the other rooms they had seen. Dark wooden floors with many chips and holes in it, arched windows into the outside, wooden buckets and mops, a few cabinets, it looked like perhaps the servants old utility type room. There was a basket of rags, and another large tin basin type thing, with a weird jagged thing inside of it. Was that the thing they used to wash clothes and such with, in the olden days? Zeke stopped paying attention to the room when Autumn moved. She looked tired and hungry. Was she skinnier than the last time they had seen her? Guys, come this way." Zeke was suddenly dizzy. Was she talking to them? Wasn't this...through the door, was that real? Was this a real room? He wanted to turn and look down the hallway, to see if it was still the long white hall they had been in not a moment ago. He couldn't even bring himself to look at Lars. Happiness surged through his body, "AUTUMN! THANK GOD!" But just as Zeke started to scurry forward, a paw went across his chest and stopped him. Zeke looked over at Lars, who was shaking his head slowly at him. "Zeke, do you seriously believe that that's Autumn? Our Autumn?" Zeke looked over, and her voiced cooed to him, "Aw, c'mon Zeke. We're a team, aren't we?" Zeke felt his body droop, and he looked back over at Lars, "That's not even close to our Autumn..." He let out a sigh, and turned back. However, Autumn had already been replaced by his sister. Sophia. The same was not true for Lars, who still saw Autumn. He looked over at Zeke, "What's wrong?" Zeke had jumped at the sight of his sister, and quickly realized Lars did not see the same thing. Which made him sure that this wasn't his sister. But how could he fight his sister? Or were they not going into this room? Could they leave this arch like they had left all the others? Zeke looked around, but there was nothing. They were on a small round platform of wood, but everything else was pitch black. He looked to Lars, who had just realized this too. The wood then started to crack and break, falling off and away into the nothing. Lars grabbed Zeke and pulled him into the room. When Zeke looked up, Autumn/Sophia was gone. What was going on...? Then there was a cackle. A familiar one. The Gastly from when they first got there. He was playing mind tricks. Lars wondered if him and Prosper the Absol were in this together. Zeke sighed, and pointed over to the next stair case.

Floor 5: 3

The two walked up the steps slowly. Not really wanting to know what was next. Lars wondered what the point of replaying Zeke's life in front of him was. He hoped it wasn't something really bad. Maybe it was just another little test. That was it, right?

Zeke's mind was elsewhere, however. As they entered the new floor, he didn't even bother to look around, he just followed Lars. His mind was to the visual of Autumn, and what he was sure was his baby with her. He thought of her Charizard form. Why had she been so tiny? Why black? What was the thing about the paint that the Gastly had mentioned? What was their child named? And where had the spikes come from? Zeke glanced over suspiciously at Lars. He was sure Lars hadn't seen what he had, but then, what had Lars seen? Had Lars seen the same thing but with a different baby? No way...that couldn't be. Zeke was getting frustrated and upset. And then his mind brought him back to his sister. Sophia...He sighed and tried to focus, but couldn't. How could he find her? Could he find her? What if he went back to the archways, and went through it? So what if he couldn't come back, at least he could follow his sister, right? He'd know where she was, and then he'd be happy. It was the only reason he was in the Rescue Team anyway, wasn't it? Feelings started to swell inside of Zeke that he had never felt before.

While Zeke wasn't paying attention, Lars felt like he was about to learn what that floor had done to him. This floor was not too different than the others, except this one had a lot of bedrooms and big bathrooms. Lars gaped in amazement at the size of a tub they passed. It was almost as big as a lake! It had claw feet, and strange things inside of the bath. It also had some shelves carved out for bottles and soaps and such. The more they walked, the more Lars could feel Zeke losing it. He wanted to turn around and tell him to calm the ******** down, but he didn't. He wasn't so sure he could take Zeke on like this. Lars saw eyes watching them. He was sure they had put something like a bomb in Zeke, to make him go insane and then kill Lars. That was their plan, he was sure of it. And that's why so many eyes followed them, but no one pounced or growled. Lars sighed and picked up the pace. Zeke was stronger than this, but he had a feeling the last floor had been cursed. When he finally found the next flight of stairs, his eyes opened up wide.

The stairs were blocked off, by an old door, an old tub, and some mops. There was a 'go up on the outside' sign, with an arrow pointing to a window. Lars' ears drooped. He knew he could climb no problem, but he wasn't too sure about poor little Zeke. Who was losing his mind, and also not a tree climber. He was more of a swimmer. Kind of. Lars peeked around the pile, and tried to squeeze underneath, but on the other side was just a hole where the stairs were supposed to be. But there were land dwellers in this Tower, not just Ghost Types. So maybe there was a safe way to go up. He walked over to the window, Zeke in tow. He propped himself up on his tail, and looked out. There was a big net, and a rope ladder up to the next net. It continued on like that for as long as Lars could see. Which wasn't much, mind you. He did figure it went around the building though. He sighed and looked back over at Zeke. He could do it if he wasn't going insane. So he jumped up from where he was perched, twisted, and slammed Zeke. Their tiny sack went flying, and Lars noted that they did in fact have some Oran Berries. So he could heal Zeke after beating him up. Zeke hadn't expected this, and went flying backwards. Zeke made a strange noise, and charged towards Lars, murder in his eyes. "I have to go back! I can find and live with Sophia if I do, I'm sure of it!" But of course, that would mean no baby with Autumn, right? But what if that was a lie. He knew that Sophia wasn't a lie, those were right from his memory banks. Lars rolled his eyes, "I can guarantee you that if you go back, and go through any one of those arches, you'll just be greeted by another closet type room." Zeke wouldn't hear of it, instead he charged at Lars, headspikes pointed right for Lars' heart. Lars jumped and slammed his feet into Zeke's back. This wasn't a real battle somehow. Was Zeke's heart not real in it...? Perhaps he was figuring it out. Maybe he was remembering Willow's words? It was then though, that a ball of yellow fur flung itself into Zeke, and sent him flying. It was the Rattata from before! The one colored like a Pikachu. "Losing another one of your Team members, Lars?" Lars watched as the Rattata beat Zeke up. "I noticed a lot of you know my name, even though I did not tell anyone my name..." The Rattata giggled, "You're in a very sacred place, even though it does not look it. When you entered here, all privacy was lost. Seems like Zeke really opened up, let the Tower pick apart his memories. Willow's words reached you, but not him. He was very foolish. I'm surprised you just slammed him though. Most people would be very scared to do such a thing." Lars laughed, "I would have only been scared to slam my partner if it was Autumn." "Because she is a girl?" "What? No, she'd just murder me. A few times." The Rattata giggled, and Lars smiled. "Well...he should snap out of it soon...Prosper set up a pretty bad trap...Not alone of course, but I'm positive it was his doing. I'll see you guys soon?" She dashed away before Lars could ask for her name. His ears drooped, and he turned back to see Zeke blinking himself away. "Lars...?" Lars padded over, like nothing had happened. "Yep, I'm here." "I just had the most wonderful dream..." Lars expected to hear a story about him and his sister being reunited, "Oh yeah? What was it about?" Zeke smirked, "You were talking to a girl. Normally." Lars bonked him on the head, then helped him up. Lars then grabbed him, and picked himself up on his tail, and set him on the window sill. Zeke grabbed Lars by his arms and helped pull him up onto the window sill, and together they pushed open a few panes of the window, and slid through. It seemed like a couple of Pokemon had done this already, as the panes were easy to turn.

Floor 6 & 7: 2.5 - 2

Lars and Zeke set up a system. Lars would through Zeke gently onto the next net, and then climb up the rope ladder on his own, and repeat. Why? Well...Zeke couldn't climb the rope ladder, and his claws had actually almost cut one of them. If he clamped down to pull himself up, he was sure to slice right through the ladder. And obviously that was no good. So Lars just threw him onto the next net, and scurried up the rope ladder like it was nothing. "So do you like that Rattata?" Lars grumbled at him, begged him to shuts up. "You don't even know her name, you big goof." "You don't either!" Zeke shrugged, and Lars tossed him a bit harder so when he hit the net he bounced a little higher, which made Zeke shut up. Only temporarily of course. They had found that the ropes and nets went up more than a floor, and had decided to go up a few extra floors this way. They had, stupidly, thought that they'd run into no enemies out there.

The smoke that had enveloped the team on the ground before entering the Tower was on the outside too. It made climbing a bit easier, since they couldn't see how high up they were. But sometimes it made Lars dizzy, since when you looked down or around, you could see nothing but greys. It was probably scarier for Zeke, who was being thrown into the nothingness. "Hey Lars?" Lars grumbled a what in reply, "Well...do you..when you looked into the door, what did you see?" Lars looked at him, "What do you mean?" Zeke paused, making a weird face as he thought of how to say it. "Well...I mean like...when we first got to your door. I saw Autumn in her evolved form, I think. What did you see?" Lars laughed, "I saw all of my female siblings and mother ganging up on my Father and making him clean the house." Zeke sighed, relieved. And happy he hadn't told Lars the part about the baby. Lars however, had just lied. He had picked a random memory, and told Zeke that that's what he saw. What Lars had really seen was Sophia. He wasn't sure if it was true or not, but she had seen an older Sophia, still a Corphish about to evolve, working at a bar. And not as a bar tender. Lars was glad that that wasn't what Zeke had seen. Lars did feel kind of strange though. Why had Zeke had so many doors, so many memories, and Lars had none? Was it because his life had been so normal? Or because he didn't come from high end parents like both Zeke and Autumn had? The net was starting to sting his paws, and he through Zeke up to the next net. "You feeling ok there, Zeke? Don't really want you going psycho again and attacking me." Zeke laughed as a response. Lars realized going up one floor had been enough for him, he was too tired to keep going. He threw Zeke up another few nets, but then they were at a window, but before they could get through, they were attacked. A Murkrow came flying through the fog, and bonked Zeke right in the head. "If you guys keep doing that I'm going to end up with a severe concussion!" Lars tutted at him, and got into battle stance. Zeke did the same. But the bird was far aways from the net. How were they supposed to fight that? Only Zeke had any long range attacks...Just as he thought it, Zeke let out a Bubble Beam attack. The bubbles raced to hit the Murkrow, but the bird was able to get out of the way of the beam in time, and started to head right back towards the two. It used Peck on Lars, it's thick hard beak hitting Lars right in the back of the head, then it flew itself back and used Wing Attack. Two rather tiny tornadoes came straight for the both of them. There wasn't anywhere to dodge at, so Lars grabbed Zeke and pushed them off the net with his tail. All he could hope was that they fell straight back down on the net. They did, but they bounced and the Murkrow decided to get in there too. Zeke was pushed off course as Lars landed on the net, and Zeke tried to grab onto the net, but it was breaking under his grip. Lars quickly grabbed him and threw him through the window. Zeke screeched, but Lars had thrown him so his head spikes broke the window, at least. Lars could hear Zeke screaming and cursing and Lars, but there was no way for him to get back out, the window was too high up. Lars focused on the bird, and as it got ready to attack, Lars went through the window too. It wasn't until Lars threw Zeke that he had realized Zeke was the only one with the long range attacks. Hence, Lars was useless against the Murkrow. The bird followed them in, but now at least they were on solid ground. Zeke used a Bubble Beam attack, and got the Murkrow. It didn't deal a lot of damage, but it allowed Lars to get up behind him and use Slam, which pounded Murkrow into the ground, making it cry out in pain, and fly out of the open window as soon as Lars got off of him. "Pansy." Zeke and Lars looked at each other, "Autumn?" "That was her voice..." They looked around every where, but did not see her.

They searched every room, every nook and cranny, but did not find the source of the voice. They found dust, dust, and more dust. They found boxes and buckets, mops and brooms, piles of books and scattered rags. But nothing or no one. Besides the Murkrow, this floor had been completely empty. It was eerie, how silent it was. It had become like second nature, but on every floor things were always squeaking or making noise, but not this floor. It was cold, and silent. Completely dead. Lars shook his head. They had been through every room now, and had not found an exit, a stair case. Would they have to go back out the window? But then, what window had it been anyways? Was every room a new room? Why wasn't anything familiar?

It was Zeke would figured something out. "Lars...everything is different, except the buckets. There's always 6 buckets in each room." The two tested out his theory. The buckets were in different places, but there were always six. Always, always six. Lars started to look in them. There was a small cylinder thing in each bucket. Zeke decided to pull on them. When he pulled on one, there was a sound. A big 'eeeehhh' sound. Lars pulled on one, the same thing happened. They looked at each other, confused. Then ran around to the buckets, and pulled on strings. Lars got to the last bucket, and pulled. After it went back into the bucket, a 'ding' sound was made. Lars smiled, "This must be some kind of riddle!" Zeke pulled on another, and an 'eh ehhh' sound was made. Lars pulled on his again, but only an 'eeeeeehh' sound was made. So they had to pull them in the right order? But if they messed up once, it messed up the whole thing, and then the order was changed? That was much too difficult...they could be here for ages! Lars returned to one of the other buckets, and pulled. The 'ding' sound was made. He looked over at Zeke, who went to one of his buckets. 'Eh ehhh'. Lars cursed and pulled another bucket, 'eeeeeeehh'. Zeke pulled on one, 'eeeeeeehh' It went on for a while. They'd pull a few, find the first one, then as soon as they pulled another one, it would go 'eh ehh' and start over. Zeke was getting frustrated, and almost whapped the bucket with his claw, but Lars stopped him, "No! If you break it, we may never find the stairs..." Zeke spat and they continued on with their little game.

Zeke and Lars were talking about where they hoped the Guild would go in the future. Like types they wanted on the Team, and moves they hoped to accomplish. Lars got a ding, and then, in the middle of a sentence about a move Zeke wanted badly once he evolved, the room went 'DIIIIING DIIIING DIIIIIIING!' and the wall started moving. Zeke scurried over to Lars, who looked at it blankly. It looked strange, like the wall was growing out of itself, but wrong. It was a bit of a mind trick as stairs started to show up. It hurt Lars, and made his depth perception all whacked out. He shook his head, closing his eyes, and when he opened them, the room was silent, and a pair of stairs were pretty evident. Zeke laughed, and Lars started to hurry over, not wanting them to disappear, and make him and Zeke do this whole process over.

Floor 8: 1.5

Propser the Absol waited for them patiently at the top of the stairs. Lars glared at him, but his glare softened the closer they got to the big dark type. Why? Well...he was intimidatingly big, after all. The Absol sat, and watched the two climb the stairs with a very laid back and very condescending eyes. Not that his slight smile wasn't condescending either, cause it was. Lars held back a growl, and tried to play it off as a cough. Zeke tried not to snicker at him for the big mess up. Which in itself, was a big mess up. "I see two little boys who need to grow up. How can I trust you two to take care of Autumn?" This took Lars by surprise, "Excuse me? We've gotten this far, haven't we? We beat you once, didn't we?" The Absol sat, no emotion on his face. "Short term victories and long term victories are different. Long term victories change you, mature you, make you who you are." Zeke shook his head, "Why are you here anyway?" The Absol nodded, "Right, back to the point. You've almost reached your midway mark in this place. With no clear understanding of where your partner is, by the way. Either way, things are about to get harder. And I know why you came here in the first place. I will be at the end, ready to keep our treasure safe, ok? You'll have to battle me. And once you leave, you better leave with Autumn, cause you can't come back to the same Tower. Each time you come to the Tower it'll be a new experience, and the chances of you finding Autumn then, well...that'll be near impossible." The Absol took one last look at them, and walked off. So he had come in just to look at them? To see how far they had really progressed? How could a glance give him that answer? The question stung at Lars, he wanted to prove he could do it. Prove he was worthy. Worthy of what? Lars wasn't too sure anymore...

The pair walked silently for a while. They were growing tired and weary. This Tower had beat them up pretty bad, hadn't it? It would have been easier had Autumn been with them. She probably would have seen right through a lot of illusions that they couldn't. Autumn had always been a hard a**, and true to her nature. Lars' ears drooped, it was becoming his signature move. Zeke grunted, "Don't let that guy get to you, ok? We're going to find Autumn, find the treasure, and get the hell out of here." A strange cackle came from before them. "You're going for both? The girl and the gold? I doubt that'll happen!" Lars' head flicked over to the voice. "You! You beat us up here...? How...?" "I live here. I know all the secrets of this place. Ghost type or not. I figured I'd help you guys out a bit, since I know where they are keeping the girl. But if you want the girl and the gold, I may not be able to help you. You're being kind of selfish, don't you think?" Lars perked his ears up a bit, shaking his head and his spirits lifting. "Our Autumn would rather have us complete the mission than rescue her. But if we rescue her, she's going to make us complete the mission anyways. And though I'd like to finish the mission then get her back, she wouldn't be proud. And I'd rather have her safer sooner, rather than later." He was hoping this would make the Rattata proud, but she didn't show it. "You keep running off before I can ask you your uh...your name." "It's Chu. Like pikachu." She started giggling and stuff again. Lars blushed and raised an arm behind his head. Chu turned around and her tail stood pretty straight up. She started to walk away. "You boys comin'?" Lars nodded and trailed after her. Zeke scoffed at him, he was almost drooling, after all.

Trusting Chu was obviously stupid. She lived at the Tower of Ashes, and for a reason, like all the others. Right? Zeke was getting more and more sure as they followed her in what felt like circles. He nudged his partner. "We've been in this room a dozen times now...that chair is familiar, that rug is familiar..." Lars shook his head, and in rushed hushed tones, "Everything in this place looks familiar. It's all the same, it's all an illusion. I bet you every floor is empty as hell. Nothing but bare bones and holes. This is all just an illusion, don't you think?" Zeke sighed, and went back into a silence of sorts. He didn't think they should be following Chu. He felt better when it had just been him and Lars. Wasn't it odd that Chu wanted to help them, but appeared right after Prosper disappeared? It just seemed fishy.

Floor 9: 1

Lars' stomach gave a low growl, and Chu turned around to look at the two for the first time. "You seem pretty hungry." Lars laughed, "I'm always hungry! No worries." Zeke was starting to feel it too, and he worried for Autumn. Was she going to get hungry too? Were they going to feed her, wherever she was? Zeke was afraid they wouldn't. He was also wondering why Lars was being loud and strange. It wasn't exactly like him...or was it? He did like this girl, for whatever reason. And he was an awkward dude. Was this a new level of awkward for him? Zeke didn't know, and he didn't care too much. It was then that a hand clasped around his mouth, and he was pulled backward.

"Ssshh." Zeke nodded at the familiar voice. The hand released his mouth. He turned around, excited that Autumn had found him! He knew she'd escape. She was too bad a** to be kept a hostage. She looked past him, and waited for Chu and Lars to disappear. "Ok, they're gone. I found out some things before breaking away. But they'll be back for me soon. Lars likes that girl?" Zeke nodded, afraid he'd talk too loud. She huffed, and shrugged her shoulders. "That's fine. I've got business to finish. Are you going to come with me, or babysit the love drunken idiot over there?" Zeke smiled, "I'm coming with you!" "Good. Let's go." She started to walk away and Zeke followed, happy as a clam to be with her. Although he did feel bad for ditching his team leader. Wait, could they even do that?

"I learned a lot of things while I was being held upstairs. They treated me like a Queen, since my father is more or less a legend. I learned a bit about the treasure, and also all of these illusions the Tower dwellers set up. It's all to protect their Legendary, really. However, a lot of Pokemon that are corrupt. The absol is one of them, and you already met him. That oddly colored Rattata and a Shuppet are the guardians of the treasure. So I have a feeling they're going to do bad things to Lars, but that's too bad for him. He shouldn't have fallen for a girl. Not on a mission, anyways." Zeke nodded, agreeing. How could they follow a leader who chose emotion over mission? It did seem strange...The two walked in silence for a little while. Until Autumn turned around, and had the face of a Shuppet. The blood rushed out of Zeke's face, leaving it white. He tipped over, completely in shock.

Lars was trailing after Chu, happy as could be. "Your friend wandered off." Lars shook his head, "It's ok, he can handle himself." Chu gave a small giggle, and Lars nearly swooned. He was doing his best to be smooth with this girl. He really wanted to impress her. "It's not very good that you all got separated. That's not very...teamlike, is it?" Lars did feel bad about
that. And it was beginning to dawn on him that Zeke had the sack of food, and Lars was about to hit rock bottom in his stomach. How could he fight on an empty stomach? How could he protect Chu? "Maybe you're better off without them." What was Chu saying? "I just feel like you'd make a better decoration here than back at your guild." Chu stopped, and slowly turned around. Her face was
that of a familiar Ghastly. The blood drained out of Lars' face, not unlike Zeke. Although you couldn't tell really, since Lars' face was already white. His eyes rolled into their sockets, and he fell over, his tail moving just in time to catch him. Lucky Lars.

Floor 10: .5

Lars hiccuped, and awoke quite abruptly. His paws were bound, and he was too weak to move. His stomach growled. He looked around, re-orientating himself. He saw Zeke on the other side of the room, claws bound shut by elastics. He could still use them as blunt objects, but he was probably just as weak and hungry as Lars. And what good was that? Lars felt like a loser. His team had lost, hadn't they? They lost Autumn, lost their sense, broke the team up. Lars was about to heave a huge sigh, when Prosper came into the light. Great, just what we need right now... Zeke came around too, and Prosper sat there and stared. Lars decided he was a creep, and hoped he hadn't been doing that to Autumn. Quickly, he surveyed his surroundings. He was in a dimly lit room, that looked not unlike an attic. There were two tiny windows on one side of the room, that were too dusty to see out of, but still let in some light. There were a few chairs scattered in the room, wooden and small. Very basic. One was toppled over near the window, had someone tried to escape? He truly hoped those were not blood stains beneath the small window sill. Were those claw marks in the floor? Lars was really getting sick of the insanity. Zeke seemed too out of it to realize where he was, or
that Prosper was there. How could Lars get to him, get him to wake up? Zeke's head was falling on occasion, and the sudden motion would wake him up enough to pick his head back up, but not for long. Lars scowled after a few minutes, and tried to peer into the darkness, where Prosper was barely able to be seen. He felt the Absol's eyes shift and land on him, staring deeply at him. "Are you just going to sit there and watch us, Prosper?" Lars heard the Absol snicker slightly, but he said nothing. What was happening? Are you confused, boy?" At this point, Lars was losing it. "Just give us Autumn back. Who cares about a stupid treasure, huh? I just want Autumn back..." His head was pounding, and so was his heart. His tail flicked in frustration, and he looked over at Zeke, who had been moving his claws around strangely. At first Lars just figured he was being high from whatever the ghosties did too him, but then Zeke regained everything all at once and snipped the ropes quickly and easily with his big ol' claws. He rushed on over to save his leader, and the Absol did not move. Lars rubbed his paws, they were sore. "Why didn't you stop him...?" Lars' voice was quiet, tired. You could tell he was exhausted, mentally and physically. "You really think you'll get by me? In the state your both in? Your sack is over there." The Absol lifted a big fluffy paw, and Zeke followed it's invisible line, and grabbed their sack. He dug a claw in, and handed one to Lars. There was a big dent in it from Zeke's grip, but Lars didn't mind. He had a feeling his team mate was tired and nervous, and was doing very well at hiding it. Lars took a bite of the apple, and let his rump slump to the floor. He was so tired, so beat. "Now, boys. This whole mess has been a test. You've gotten past most of them, the ones that mattered anyway. Autumn isn't being held too far away from here. I will take an apple with me before I depart, to bring to her. The rest of your journey should be relatively normal. I hope you find Autumn to your liking, we have not touched her. She is a very free spirited young lady." By free spirited, he meant sassy and rude and too rough for anyone to do anything too. Lars felt some strength return to his body, felt the energy start to make his veins pump again. "I advise you to remain in here for a little while until your strength has fully returned. If we meet again, it will be to battle. Do not be too greedy upon finding the treasure either, because you will be sorry." The Absol turned and left, somehow walking through the wall. Lars didn't bother ask, he didn't want to know. He stared on over at his partner, who had eaten his apple, and had already gone back to pretty much normal. Besides the baggy eyes from being stressed. Lars was sporting those too. "So...shall we go?" Zeke tilted his head slowly, "I suppose so...I really just want Autumn back...I have a feeling she'll be in the mood to kick this mission's a**." Lars completely agreed with his partner, and looked around. He felt strong and not dizzy, he was feeling much better. Zeke had color return to his chest as well, the dark grays had turned a rather dull gray. They nodded, and headed out the door, and up the rather small staircase.

"Where the hell have you guys been? It's been so freaking long! I've been here for like, a day." Autumn had her hands on her hips, and was very angry. Her face seemed a bit red, instead of orange. She also had some black smudges on her back and arms. Lars and Zeke both thought nothing of it, just like she knew they wouldn't. Why? Well, this old haunted house type deal was dirty, and they were too happy to even care. Too happy she was safe and sound. Not that she found it all that surprising. Why? Well, she could hold her own, and they were stupid for thinking otherwise. Lars jumped for joy, and Zeke tried to hug her, but Autumn put an arm out and didn't let him. She wasn't a very big hugger. A Ninjask had been her main captor, and he had a very strange demeanor. Later, Autumn told her comrades that his name had been Armand, and he hadn't been too unlike Lars, which had drove her up a wall. He was awkward and tried very hard to come off as tough. She figured he was good for nothing, so he was put to the task of keeping Autumn in one room. She told them that she hadn't figured out their secrets, and her best guess was they got all of them to fall asleep as soon as they crossed the doorway, and the rest was all a dream. Her theory was that they had been challenged mentally, and now it was time for the physical part. Lars shrugged, and said the whole thing had been too confusing, and Autumn agreed, and said she thought the Tower took it a little too far, and probably lost it themselves. Lars, although he didn't say anything, figured they took Autumn because they couldn't get her to fall asleep or anything. He was proud to say he had a strong team, and they were only starting out too. He couldn't wait to see where his team ended up.

With that, the team re-started or whatever, their mission. They started out together. Everyone was in pretty high spirits now, since they were back together and everyone was safe. Not to mention well fed. Zeke had the sack slung over onto his back. They were walking down a dusty hallway, doors lining it, and chatting. They should have been paying attention, but they weren't quite, and the team didn't notice as an eerie music began picking up in the background. A very musically inclined Shuppet was following them, swaying with the music, bobbing his head and such. The team had no idea, and wouldn't catch on for a while. The Shuppet would keep the music low for a while.

The Tower had completely changed it's insides in an attempt to put the Team in a physical challenge. Poor Lars was beginning to worry. He had a horribly strange hunch that these obstacle looking things were going to pinpoint each other their fears, and work around that. Each of them would have to conquer their own deepest secrets. How was he piecing this all together so well? Well, the team was standing on a platform over looking a room rather far below them. It was terribly dark and dank, but they could make out other round platforms sticking up from murky water that they could only guess was swamp type water. Autumn fidgeted in herself, knowing what it would mean to fall into such water. Another thing caught their attention, a soft 'swsh swsh swsh' sound was going rather fast, but they could not see well enough to make anything out besides the big round pillars sticking up from the swamp. Autumn sighed, and looked to Lars. "How the heck are we supposed to get down there?" Lars looked over to her, he could tell she was getting frustrated. He opened his mouth to answer, but instead swiveled around on his tail to look at Zeke, who was standing over the edge looking down. Lars got back on his feet and looked around for a ladder, or stairs, anything to help them get down. "Uh...I'm horribly afraid of heights." Lars shot his glance over to his partner. Of course, afraid of heights. Would they be ok if they free falled? Lars was seeing no other option. Autumn opened her mouth to say something, but it was too late. Lars had charged, grabbed Autumn in one arm, and Zeke in another. Autumn shrieked...wait, no. Zeke shrieked. Lars wasn't thinking too much about it though, instead he was staring downwards, there must be somewhere for them to land, right? His eyes scanned, but he was seeing nothing and they were falling much faster than he originally thought. Which is stupid, cause he should have known that gravity would make them fall quickly. It was then that Autumn punched Lars really hard, and then pointed. Lars knew that the punch was not necessary to grab his attention, and knew that Autumn knew that. He followed her point though, and saw what seemed to be a trampoline type deal. The top of the landing was different than the others, and now that they were getting closer he could see holes in the sides of it, like parts of it were attached to something else, and pulling it taut. Lars shifted his weight, and also moved his partners carefully that way too. Their shifted weight had them going that way. Lars could hear Zeke making strange noises, but there was nothing he could do about it now.

The team hit the trampoline, and separated. Zeke thrashed his giant claws around, hitting a zubat in the face while doing so, and sending it rather far away, and probably out cold. They all flew together-ish towards a rather big platform that stood a bit lower than the rest. Lars knew it couldn't be, but he thought it looked like Autumn had her arms crossed and her lip pouting out as she fell through the sky. Lars shook his head, knowing better. The shuppet following them earlier peeked over the edge of the platform from before, the one the team jumped over. It's eyes narrowed, surprised that they worked so well together. Autumn landed first, rolled, and stood up to brush herself off. Making some more black show up on herself. Neither of the two noticed, and although she was thankful, she also sighed on the inside. Boys. She walked over and helped a trembling Zeke up, who had taken to laying on the floor, butt in the air, head covered by his claws. Lars landed, and did a bit of a front flip, and landed on his belly. Well, more his face then his belly. Autumn snickered at this, and that helped Zeke get up to see what happened. Then the three observed their surroundings. They were on the biggest, but lowest platform. A giant rock was behind him. Very well placed, considering there were no other such things on the other platforms. "We're going to have to climb this rock, and jump over to that platform over there, ok? You guys will have to throw me, I can't risk falling into that swamp thing down there."

Looking over the bulletin board was a duo. One of them was a young Riolu. He seemed to look rather odd with his brown coloring, large floppy ears, and a large bushy tail. Then the other one looked like just a normal Kadabra, nothing weird or odd in particular about him. “Perhaps this?” The Riolu suggested, pointing to one of the paper that was tagged on the board. “Hmm…no,” The Kadabra answered. They looked over the board again. “This?” Luke suggested once again. “No.” The Kadabra replied to him briefly. “Fine then, if you keep denying my suggestions, then why don’t you choose instead?” He said annoyed with his arms crossed in front of him. Vincent gave a glare at the Riolu before looking over the writings and papers on the board better. There weren’t really much to choose other than the one Luke suggested, though he managed to found a mission that caught his attention. “Hey, what about that one?” He said. “Which one?” The Riolu asked. “That one,” He pointed to a piece of paper rather high at the top of the bulletin board. “It is too high to see.” For Luke, the paper was rather high up because he was short depending the height of the Kadabra that could see the writing better than he could. Even using his aura abilities, it was still a bit hard to see the writing. He tried jumping to grab the paper but it was no use. “Let me do it.” The Kadabra then tiptoed up his feet and reached his arm to grab the paper. He then let the Riolu read it. He examined the paper carefully before letting out his comment. “I suppose we could do it, though are you sure?” He asked. “Definitely,” The Kadabra replied calmly.

The once blue sky turned to the color of orange. The large sun will soon set and be replaced by a bright crescent moon. The same two Pokemon walked on a path to a place where the mission is said to be. Traveling to the destination is quite long since they left from the guild at morning and now it’s almost dark out. This should be their team’s first mission without their leader. Hopefully the mission would go well without her. Soon enough, a tower can be seen over the horizon. The roof and several of the floors looked like they were burnt down. And around it was covered by many orange colored trees that give the tower an autumn scene. “Look, it is the tower!” Luke exclaimed with his paw lifted and pointed at the burnt tower. “That’s good since my legs are getting tired from walking.” Vincent replied. “Already tired? You should exercise more. Maybe that is why you look so fat.“ The Riolu chuckled. “Haha, very funny.” Vincent said sarcastically while rolling his eyes. He then straightened his body, trying to look a little less fat, though his attempt to look thinner failed.

When the two finally arrived at the front of the tower, they both looked inside and wonder around near the entrance. The floor boards were making a bunch of creaky noises when stepped on by either Vincent or Luke. “Where do you think the Misdreavus is?” Vincent asked. “I do not know. Maybe we should look in deeper?” Luke suggested. And with that they walked a bit deeper into the tower. What they didn’t notice was a small cloud formed behind them, silently following them, and….BOO!! Vincent and Luke both were surprised and let out a small shriek. “You should’ve seen the look on your faces!” A small Misdreavus giggled. “Don’t ever do that again!” The Kadabra was not amused by the Misdreavus’ little prank. “Anyways, we came for your request to—“ Before Luke can even finish his sentence the Misdreavus already opened her mouth. “I know why you’re here. It’s because of my mission, riiigghhht?” The Misdreavus said it if like Luke didn’t say a single word. “That’s what I—“ Once again the Misdreavus didn’t acknowledge him. “Good to hear. Those Crobats are getting on my nerves. Follow me and I’ll show you what I mean.” Without bothering trying to say anything again, the Kadabra and the Riolu followed the Misdreavus.

The festival was actually held at the center of the 1st floor of the burnt tower. A bunch of Pokemon already gathered. There are all kinds of species. But the most species who gathered there are the Misdreavus species. The scene was fine and everything seemed like going well until suddenly a mysterious cackling echoed throughout the room. “Kekekekeh! Were back for more fun, are you guys ready to play a game?!” Just then a swarm of Crobats flew in. Everybody in the room panicked. “Let’s go!” Vincent gave a sign to attack the Crobats. Luke jumped and attacked one of the Crobat with a Quick Attack. While still in the air, both of the Riolu’s arms glow a blue neon color and with that he spins around, hitting the Crobats flying near him. Meanwhile, Vincent was busy shooting multiple colorful Psybeams at the Crobats. Each Crobat was quite easy to defeat because they’re actually weak against Psychic. And Vincent and Luke both have their own Psychic-type moves. Though, Luke might have a bit difficulty if he was hit by a Flying-type move. “RETREAT!” A Crobat shouted while panting at the rest of the surviving Crobats. Then they all fled to different floors. Their client, the Midreavus, hovered towards the both of them. “You managed to get rid some of them. But you still haven’t got rid of all of them! I know they’ll come back for revenge. Please go and find them!” The Misdreavus ordered them. “Fine, we’ll go and find them.” Vincent replied. Like what the Misdreavus ordered them to do, they both continued to deeper into the tower to track down all of the Crobats.

Vincent and Luke walked cautiously. For all you know, there might be a Crobat just waiting to pop out and scare the hell out of them. The same familiar creaky noise plays a small rhythm in a continuous loop around the room. It looked like it was already pitch black outside. There just only the white, round-shaped moon and thousands of twinkling stars to be their light. To be honest there’s nothing really happened at the current situation. Their alone in the room, no one was there except for them two. It was too quiet until an unnoticeable crack was on one of the wooden floors and when it was stepped by Vincent, unable to withstand his weight; he broken right through the floor with a loud “CRASH”. Thus they wasted some time to go and help the poor Kadabra out of the hole. So in short, there weren’t really any Crobats at the time, just an unlucky incident.

Vincent and Luke climbed up the stairs which they found conveniently. This time the Kadabra was more cautious about the old creaky floors. We won’t want to let the accident repeat itself, don’t we? Suddenly, Luke felt another presence on the current room. “Wait, don’t move.” The Riolu hold out an arm in front of Vincent who is actually bigger than him. He tilted his head to both sideways. No one was there. But he felt another aura other than Vincent’s. He narrowed his white, not very useful, eyes. He gasped when he realizes the aura was coming from above him, from a Ninjask that was spying on them the whole time. Quickly like a ninja, the Ninjask knocked Luke out of his feet and fell to the floor on his back with an Ariel Ace. “Are you okay?” Vincent asked the Riolu without letting his guard down. “I’m…fine.” Luke answered with a groan. The Ninjask formed an ‘X’ sign with its arm and released an X Scissors at Vincent. Because of his fast thinking, he made a Reflect wall in front of him to at least suppress the damage. The Ninjask did the same move a few times like twice or more, but it was blocked by the Reflect. Though, those last blows made a few cracks at the Reflect wall, it looks like it’s going to break! Before the Ninjask starts to release another X Scissors and totally breaks the Reflect wall, Vincent tried making it dizzy with a Supersonic. But the Ninjask easily dodged it. The Kadabra tried once again and he got the same results. At least he is distracting it from doing another attack. “Hold still!” He snapped at the Ninjask. Luke got up back on his feet when Vincent failed at the attempts of making the Ninjask dizzy. The Riolu thought before spinning around really fast, risking of being dizzy himself afterwards, he made a tornado around himself and made it head towards the Ninjask. Being busy dodging Vincent’s Supersonics, he was hit by the Twister move. Luckily, it left the Ninjask flinched. While it’s flinched, Luke increased his attack with Swords Dance before launching at the Ninjask with speed and Quick Attacks the Ninjask twice. It was left fainted on the floor. The brown Riolu hybrid rested both of his paws on his knees as he catches his breath before continuing the journey.

They walked, and walked. It was so quiet. And they haven’t spotted a single Crobat in hours. Suddenly, a shriek startled them. It was coming from an unfortunate Raticate. He almost buried under a pile of rubble and old building materials. “Help me! I can’t get out!” He pleaded. Vincent and Luke exchanged glances before helping the Raticate. They both reached and grabbed a large wood that was mostly causing the Raticate stuck since he is not strong enough to lift it himself. They tried lifting the large wood with all of their might as the Raticate trying his best to scurry away under the large wood despite his round, fat body. When the Raticate successfully crawled out of the large wood, the Kadabra and the Riolu put the large wood down with a large ‘THUD!’ The Raticate doesn’t seem to be harmed much; just a little bruises here and there. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!” He was sure grateful to them. “You are very welcome.” The Riolu replied. Though what makes Vincent uneasy is why did he end up in that pile of things anyway? “Hey, what did happen to you anyway?” He asked him with a hand raised. The smile on the Raticate’s face disappeared and returned into a frown. “It was those Crobats,” He said sternly in a deep voice. “They suddenly attacked me for no reason! I tried to dodge the attack but the attack ended up hitting the ceiling and it crashed right on me!” He explained rather angry with what cause this to him. “Crobats?! Well do you see where they’d go?!” Vincent asked him urgently. “I think I saw them go that way, I think.” He pointed to a direction where he last saw the Crobats go. “We have to go now, bye!” He said quickly then headed off, Luke followed behind him. “Well...whatever, bye.” The Raticate said confused, seeing them sprinting farther and farther until they disappeared from the view.

As according to the Raticate, he was right. There is a Crobat flying about. But didn’t he state that there was more than one? The Crobat then turned around; his eyes spotted a Kadabra and a Riolu. “YOOOOUUUUU!!” He pointed an accusing wing at the two. “You two shall pay for what you’ve done to my fellow Crobats!” He exclaimed. “Speaking of your fellow Crobats, where the hell did the rest of ‘em go?” Vincent asked, cocking his eyebrow. “They went off to their secret hideout; they put me in charge from letting anyone proceed through here, including you two!” He charged at the two and released an Ariel Ace that successfully hit Luke. First the Shedinja, now this, how do the Pokemon here learn Ariel Ace if there isn’t Ariel Ace on their level-up move list other than if they found an Ariel Ace TM out of nowhere? Luckily the Riolu managed to stay still and not tumble down to the creaky wooden floors. Vincent fired a Psybeam at the Crobat, causing him to be pushed back to a wall when he got hit by the multicolored beam. He slumped down to the floor, only to find himself getting hit by a fist full of air, though this Crobat wasn’t done yet. He isn’t one of those other Crobats that easily got defeated by Vincent’s Psybeam plus getting hit by a Vacuum Wave from Luke. The Crobat Screeched a screech that made their ears feel like their bleeding. Luke flattened his ears and yanking it hard, as if it will make the screech go away. Vincent did the same thing too with his ears. Caught off guard, the Kadabra was bit by the Crobat. He let out a ‘yelp’ before the Crobat released his fangs away from Vincent’s neck. Luke raised a paw, that paw started glow blue. He lunged at the Crobat and slashed him hard. The Crobat finally fainted and went unconscious, though Vincent didn’t look too good because he can’t hold the pain like Luke does. Even though it was just a small super effective Bite and Luke could take on two Ariel Aces without needing any assistance. So the Riolu reached out his arm inside into his pouch. What he is grabbing is an Oran Berry, a normal, blue Oran Berry. He chucked it into the Kadabra’s mouth and he felt a whole lot better. “Thanks.” The Kadabra thanked him. “It is my pleasure.” He replied, smiling.

Some time has passed and the unconscious Crobat awakened. He was alarmed when Vincent and Luke were looking at him. The Crobat quickly squirmed back until his back felt like it hit a wall. “W-What do you want from me?! You already beaten me, what else do you want?!” He asked with a panic tone. “We want information.” The Riolu answered briefly. “Tell us where the Crobat hideout is.” Vincent continued. They figured it is a secret hideout and they don’t know where it is, might as well try asking it, like the girls way of trying to ask for directions. “I am NOT going to betray them!” He said with his wings crossed and his head tilted to his left. “Really? Then we have to force you then. I will ask you once again and only once. Where is the hideout to your Crobat friends?” He repeated his question. Knowing what would happen to him, the Crobat thought selfishly. “Fine! The secret hideout is just near here, sort of. Like go either far west or east from here, I forgot which. Then you’ll come across two entrances, go through the right. Then there’s going to be another two passages, go right again. After that you’ll come to another two entrances, but this time you’ll have to go left. And there you go!” And with that the Crobat fled and probably they, including the people that are going to celebrate the festival, won’t be seeing him anytime soon. So for now, they have to find this secret hideout, and then get rid of the Crobats, but first things first, which one is the right direction, west or east?

They first tried going west. But they ended up finding a dead end. “Great.” Vincent said sarcastically with his yellow arms crossed. The Riolu sighed. “We should have picked east…” They walked far for nothing. He turned his back to go the other direction until he noticed Vincent was standing there looking at his stomach. “I’m starving, let’s eat first.” He suggested. After battling several Pokemon and even helped one, they should at least deserve a break.
They sat down on the floor. Luke grabbed his pouch and placed in front of him and Vincent. The Kadabra ate a Big Apple whilst Luke ate three Apples. Oh they were good Apples. Eyeing on them was a little thief, a Murkrow to be exact. He tilted his head to the Riolu’s pouch. The pouch wasn’t quite closed, but the hole was open enough for the Murkrow to spot a shiny item, a very shiny and golden item. The eyes of the Murkrow glittered upon resting it gaze to a Golden Apple. He felt the urge to steal. Thus, he lunged at the pouch and swiped the Golden Apple. “Hey! That’s MINE!” Vincent shouted in anger at the Murkrow whom is flapping his wings to fly faster now that he was caught stealing. “Get back here!” He yelled again before teleporting. Luke, startled when he saw the Murkrow took off with their Golden Apple. Not knowing any teleportation moves, he snatched the pouch and ran as fast as he can to catch up with the Murkrow. When Vincent teleported in front of the Murkrow, he planned to knock the Murkrow out somehow, though the thief swiftly turned when he was going to fly straight to the Kadabra with the Golden Apple clutched tightly between its claws and Luke chasing behind him. The Kadabra then tried teleporting once again. Luke attempted to run on the walls and Quick Attack the Murkrow from the side. But he dodged the Quick Attack by flying upwards letting the Riolu hitting the wall. Though he didn’t stopped running. The Golden Apple was rare and hard to find, he’s not about to give it up to a little crook. The Murkrow looked behind him, seeing the Riolu still chasing him. He gave a small chuckle. “You’re never going to catch me!” He shouted. Little did he know, Vincent fired a Supersonic at the Murkrow when he teleported in front of him again. Now confused and not knowing where he was going, he bumped into a wall hard. In cartoons and animes, his eyes probably looked like swirly lines before diving into an unconscious state. The Kadabra grabbed the Golden Apple that fell when the Murkrow bumped into a wall and raised it victorious. “Got it!” The Riolu stopped running when he sees that the Kadabra finally obtained the Golden Apple. He sighed in relief that the Golden Apple was safe. “Please give it to me.” He spoke. With that, the Kadabra handed the Golden Apple to the Riolu and he tucked it into his pouch. Not long after that, Luke noticed two passages behind Vincent. “Look at behind you.” He gestured a paw to point at the two passages. “Could it be the two passages the Crobat spoke of?” He said.

Maybe, but which one is the right one?” Vincent said, forgetting which passage they both had to go through. A moment of silence slipped out before two different answers came out. “Right,” “Left,” Luke glanced at Vincent. “No wait, you’re right, it is right.” The Kadabra had second guesses. Luke face palmed quietly before going through the passage on the right. The passage seemed to be darker depending than the other places in the tower. Suddenly, Vincent felt something touched his feet, something soft and thin. “Get down!” Luke exclaimed all of a sudden and dragged the Kadabra down to the floor. Arrows started to come out of the walls and shoot itself to the other wall. All the arrows then ended up being stuck on the other wall. How lucky to have aura to guide your way through the dark. “What was that?” Vincent asked confused. “Must have been a trip wire, if there are traps here, then there must be more waiting for us later.” The Riolu replied raised his body to stand up. Soon enough after they started to walk through the passage cautiously, another two passages appeared like what the Crobat said. If the Crobat is right, then there should be another two passages after this if they crossed through the right passage. “Hmm….I think it’s right again.” The Kadabra tried remembering out loud with his chin resting on his hand and his elbow resting on his other hand. “I thought so too.” Luke said. They both exchanged glances once again and went through the passage on the right. They managed to avoid any traps until they came across the last two passages. “Oh! I remember this one. It’s right!” The Kadabra said while gesturing his arm to the right passage. He rushed a bit to the said passage. “Wait!” Luke exclaimed, knowing that there might be a trap. Well one thing for sure, he was right. The Kadabra accidentally stepped on secret panel that triggers something. Suddenly the place was shaking around. “A-An earthquake?!” The Kadabra shouted, trying to keep his balance from tumbling down. He soon found out the source was coming from a large boulder rolling right at their direction from the right passage. “HOLY ARCEUS!” He cried with his eyes widening. Luke had to do something quick because the Kadabra was too panicked to teleport. Where did the entire ‘calm’ thing about him go? So the Riolu raced forward to the incoming boulder. “What are you doing?!” The Kadabra asked confused. “This!” The Riolu exclaimed, answering his question. He put a palm on the boulder quickly everything grew bright. The Kadabra had to shield his eyes. When everything dimmed down, his eyes flickered open and blinked a few times before seeing what happened in front of him. The boulder was shattered to little small pieces and the Riolu that did it all was tapping his feet and his arms are crossed in front of him. The Kadabra rubbed the back of his head and sweat dropped. “Heheh…sorry.” He apologized. When they both went through the passage on the left, they were in a room, an empty room with nothing in it except for a large gaping hole on the center of the room. “Should that be where the hideout is?” The Kadabra tilted his head to the Riolu. “Might be,” He answered before the duo jumped down to the hole.

The hideout was full of Crobats. Seriously, the place is crawling with Crobats. The two might be a bit outnumbered. They both hid behind some barrels. “What are we gonna do? There’s a bunch of them.” Vincent whispered. “Even if there is a lot of Crobats, we can still do it. We can finish the job.” The Riolu assured him with positive thinking. Like how is positive thinking going to help them when there’s a Crobat that is already standing right beside them? Vincent and Luke tilted their heads slowly to the Crobat with an angered impression. Its wing started to glow white and it attacked the two with them, sending the Kadabra and the Riolu tumbling down the floor. “INTRUDERS! INTRUDERS!” It cried out loud, alarming the other Crobats. Less than a minute they were already surrounded by many Crobats. “Oh dammit.” Vincent spoke. They both getting back-to-back and nodded, preparing to fight. The Crobats started to unleash several physical moves which were quite an advantage to them. Luke put up a Counter while Vincent put up Reflect, both moves countered their attacks and inflicted damage back at them, causing a few Crobats weakened and maybe one or two fainted. Luke jumped up high and Sword Danced while being in the air and landing on the crowd of Crobats with a Psycho Cut, hitting them with Psycho Cut, slashing them with Psycho Cut, you know what I mean. Meanwhile Vincent spammed Psybeams all over the place. It’s….his main attack, spamming Psybeams all the time at every fight he is been through. Seemed like they’ve think they have done pretty good lately; the wave of Crobats seemed to increase, not decrease. This might take two hours or more.
Suddenly a large roar echoed through the hideout.

GRAAAAAAARRR!!!!!” A familiar Raticate came barging down and KO’d several Crobats by slamming them down to a wall all in one Double-Edge. “Dude, are you okay?” Vincent asked. “Yeah I’m fine, just a little bit hurt,” The Raticate replied. “What are you doing here?” Luke asked this time. “You don’t honestly think I’m letting those idiots get away with attacking me spontaneously do you?” He said. “But how did you get--?” The Kadabra’s next question wasn’t finished when the Raticate answered. “Followed ya.” At least they’re getting a little bit of help. So Vincent, Luke, and the Raticate begin to attack the Crobats. Luke twirled to make a tornado that sent a few Crobats a round, and around, and around then get hit by a wall. Vincent is…well…still firing and spamming Psybeams but he didn’t know that there was a Crobat sneaking up behind him. “Watch out!” The Raticate yelled, lunging at the Crobat then Tackled it followed by a Bite. “Thanks.” Vincent thanked before continuing his raid of Psybeams. After latching a Hyper Fang on a Crobat the Raticate moved onto another Crobat and Hyper Fang it. Well the fight kind of lasted an hour before they finally extinguished every Crobat in the place. Vincent let himself fell down on the floor in exhaustion. “What is your name?” Luke asked the Raticate, panting. “Its Josh, what about you?” He answered then asked, quite exhausted himself. “My name is Luke and he is Vincent. We are in a rescue team, Team Darkstar.” The Riolu introduced himself, his Kadabra companion, and the name of their team properly. “Thank you, for helping us.” Luke continued. “Without you, we would still be fighting those Crobats.” Josh smiled. “Oh no it’s not a problem, I have to get back to my home now, nice meetin’ ya!” And with that the Raticate scurried off. Luke then turned his attention to the laying Kadabra. He grabbed their Explorers Badge and teleported back to the guild.

[Heya, Cat! The mission comes up to 7 1/2 pages on my end.
This might be because of it not being spaced out properly or that your counting your font tags as part of the bulk of the document. Space it out and we'll try and figure out what's wrong.

I had a chat with her and it's about 10 on her end. I checked for any of the common things that could cause discrepancies (size, font, program, single-spacing) and they were all identical to the norm. I really don't know what the hell is going on.]

[Error corrected! Uploading grade! Neener, neener -robot noises-]

Upon returning to the guild, their task complete, the team met with a rather disgruntled Misdreavus who turned on them instantly.
"WELL? Did you get them?!" It demanded and once it had been verified that the Crobat had been dealt with she smiled and handed a small parcel to Vincent.
"Excellent, this is for you! Thank you again!"She vanished in a wisp of smoke.
In the parcel Vincey-boy would find a pale, white egg that gave an eerie glow and 5000PD.

At the guild's door they would see a Murkrow and Ninjask asking to join.
Each was holding their own gift to the team if they were chosen.
A Solar Ribbon in the Murkrow's beak and a Choice Band in the Ninjask's claws.

You've Obtained:

White-Colored Pokemon Egg
[Can be any Pokemon whose original base color is white.]

5000 PD

Solar Ribbon [If choosing the Murkrow recruit]
Choice Band [If choosing the Ninjask recruit]

"Err, sorry guys, we're not accepting anyone at the moment." Vincent said, knowing what his small Poochyena leader have said about taking new recruits. Although from the Riolu's look, that Sun Ribbon the Murkrow had seems to caught his attention.
He has been thinking of being a Lucario. Even if he doesn't know what would he be; part Vaporeon, part Flareon, part Jolteon, part Umbreon, part Espeon, part Leafeon, or part Glaceon. Its quite nice to have that Sun Ribbon for free since it is part of Luke's evolution item. Buying it can be a little expensive along with the Berry Juice. But he have to stick with buying it later since their not accepting any recruits at the moment.
He sighed, disappointed, before walking to their team room.

Anubis + Aphrodite + Heimdall

Anubis gazed up at the ruined looking tower that he was supposed to explore for some coward who couldn't even muster up enough courage to get the damn stone himself.

Aphrodite floated nearby examining the ominous look of the outside of the tower, with it's various scorch marks and places where the walls looked like they had caved in, overall this just seemed like a dangerous area.

Anubis glanced at the zombified Feebas next to him and sighed, “Let's get this crap over with.” He muttered as he started to trudge along inside as Aphrodite nodded, her spare eye swinging as she did.

“Umm...Excuse me. I am wanting to come as well.” A voice called from behind the duo who turned around to see this Pokemon that wanted to come along on a quite possibly dull mission.
It seemed to be the Togepi priest Heimdall. Said priest glanced between the hell spawn and the zombie, “I sense there are restless souls of the dead about. It is my duty as a priest to calm these spirits."

Anubis glanced to Aphrodite who nodded, “Eh...Fine the more the merrier. Just keep the ******** away from me you disgusting priest.” The Riolu hated the priest with a passion and to be stuck in close quarters with said holy man was just...ew.

So with Heimdall in tow, the trio opened the large wooden doors to the enterance of the tower.
Meanwhile in a nearby window glowing red eyes could be seen from inside, then vanished as the trio walked inside.
=
Anubis' crimson eyes glowed in the darkness that was the inside of the Tower of Ashes, he scanned all around for any signs of enemy aura, or even the item they were seeking. No such luck would happen though, sadly.

The trio then began to traverse the winding pathways, as Aphrodite stared at the various walls, “Guys? Did ya like, hear something?” She asked timidly. She had probably watched too many horror movies, which was quite funny being the Feebas was technically already dead, so more death wouldn't matter much to her.
On that note, how would she die?

Heimdall raised his hands to the ceiling before clasping them together in a prayer, as the Togepi did his cleansing ritual, Anubis scoffed as he kicked a pile of rubble which fell off, “This is going to kill me, I know it!” The Riolu screamed in frustration.
He had partially accepted this dull request because a name like 'Tower of Ashes' seemed appropriately disturbing.
He wished he knew that it would be nothing but some damn burnt rotting wood.

Aphrodite meanwhile kept glancing around, her senses telling her that someone...or something was watching the group.
Glancing to Heimdall who had finished his cleansing ritual ( and was that an incense burner he held?! ) she sighed before deciding to speak to the priest, “Do ya like...think there's some like super grody like...feeling?”

Heimdall just tilted his head at the Feebas' valley speak, “...Forgive my intrusion dear undead, but your manner of speaking both confuses and frightens me.”

Aphrodite just frowned, “Like...what do ya mean? I'm just like totally asking you if ya like feel like we are being watched, ya know?” She felt it wasn't that hard to understand something so simple.
Now she knew why priests were so odd.

Heimdall just shrugged, “I do get this strangest sensation of being watched.”

Anubis glared at the two behind him, “Of course we are being watched you idiotic ********.” He said, frustrated with them both, “This is a tower of ghosts you know! I'd be more concerned if we weren't being watched! I mean seriously! What the fu-” Anubis was suddenly cut off by tripping over a piece of fallen wood and smacking into the ground.

Heimdall frowned as he watched the Riolu curse up a storm, “Take that as a sign from Arceus that you shouldn't be so vulgar.”

Anubis just flipped the Togepi off as he hopped back up and continued walking, “Oh stuff it you stupid holy fru-” This time he was cut off by a shadow ball to the face which made him crash into the wall behind him, making the tower they were in rumble a little.

In front of the trio was a Nincada who just laughed in an eerie echoing voice, “Have you no respect for the dead?” The apparently female bug type asked, still giggling.

Heimdall held back Anubis who had recovered and was about to wail on the ghost, “Forgive my companions rudeness. We are only meaning to get a hold of a Dusk Stone.” The Togepi said.

The Nincada just laughed some more, “Give you a Dusk Stone? Are you kidding me?” She then started to crawl around the group, “Dusk Stones are very important to us. Why would we hand anything like that over to some intruders?”

Heimdall just stood silent, after all the bug type did bring up a very good point.

Anubis however could care less about anything like that, “Oh so the ******** what! One shitty stone isn't going to ruin all of you.” He then smirked, “Why don't you just hand over one or at least give us some useful information.” Here he cracked his knuckles as his red aura intensified, “Otherwise I'll make you wish you could die again.”

The Nincada glared at the Riolu absolutely pissed off, “Wh-what was that you little punk?!”

Aphrodite just stared at Anubis in shock, “Like oh my Arceus! Why are ya like so freaking grody Anubis?” She then glanced at the Nincada, “Like forgive him for he has no idea like how he should like totally act, ya know?” She then huffed as she smacked the Riolu with her dangling eye.

The Nincada just scoffed, “As if I would let such an affront go unpunished! The great one would ruin all of you!” She began as her eye's widened, the pure red iris' glowing brighter, “However, some fools like you are not needed for such an honor as to be wiped out by the great one!”

Heimdall frowned, “By the great one you mean the all might Arceus right? Our benevolent god?”

The Nincada nearly cried with laughter at that statement as she crawled back up staring at the Togepi with an incredulous look, “Are you joking? Arceus is benevolent?” Here she laughed some more, “Since when was he such a benevolent god?” She then motioned to the walls around them, “As if such a perfect god would let this happen! Do you know what I used to be before all this?” She asked her voice tinged with an air of insanity.

Aphrodite just stared at the Nincada obviously confused, “You were like an egg?”

The Nincada frowned, “No! I was a gorgeous Weavile! Then that fire happened and it ravaged this place! Everyone inside died!” At the groups confused looks the Nincada sighed, “Umm...Hello~? I'm possessing this Nincada? Well actually I'm stuck in this Nincada's body as it's soul...but...you know...” The group just continued staring at her as she frowned, “How else would a Nincada know Shadow Ball?”

Anubis just kept staring at the Nincada/Weavile before rolling on the floor laughing, “Oh...Oh my freaking Arceus! Oh...Oh wow! This is hilarious!” At the Nincada's disgusted looking face the Riolu laughed harder, “A Weavile? Seriously? You were something that awesome?” He then snickered as his laughter starting to wane, “Wow. You must have been a shitty Pokemon to be stuck in a Nincada's body!”

The Nincada just glared at Anubis, “...” She then watched as the Riolu got up from the floor and walk over to her as she crawled backwards, not liking the aura the Pokemon gave off, it just seemed wrong.

Anubis however stared down at the bug type his eyes glowing brighter, “...However if you are so miserable...” He then brought down his fist as he used drain punch to pierce through the Nincada's body, “Then just crawl back in your mothers womb and die.” He then took out his blood covered hand as he turned to his horrified party members, “...Let's continue.”

Heimdall just stared at the Riolu in shock as Aphrodite stared at the Nincada's bloody corpse in disgust, “That....No Pokemon deserves such a thing to happen to them.”

Anubis just raised a brow, “Oh? She got in our way. We need to complete a mission and I just got rid of someone who could get in the way of said mission. Nothing more.” He then pointed at the corpse, “It's entirely that pathetic insects fault for having her guard down.” He then snickered, “I'm sure the so called 'great one' finds her holy now.”

Heimdall just shuddered with rage, “No. No Pokemon deserves to have that happen to them!” He then glared at the Riolu who just scoffed and flipped him off.

“Whatever. Let's get going then hm? I'm interested in this...so called 'great one'.” He stated in cold indifference before walking on ahead of the remaining two members, “...Well?”

Aphrodite just glared at Anubis as she stared at the corpse of the Nincada and hurried on while Heimdall said a quick prayer and threw some salt on the body before rushing to the group.

Meanwhile the Nincada's blood drenched corpse started to shudder as it stood back up, “...I'll get you for this. You will have pain....yes...pure pain.”
-
Anubis whistled as the group began to near what looked to be the center of the tower, the Riolu then took out the mission notice as he studied it again, “Hmm...We should look for another door. The Dusk stones should be there if this idiot wrote it correctly.” He then noticed the glares he was getting from his fellow team-mates as he rolled his eyes, “Oh get over it.”

Aphrodite just hmph'd as she opened her mouth to speak, but then quickly closed it as Heimdall spoke for her, “That was unnecessary.” He then glared harder at Anubis, “You could have just incapacitated her instead of just out right murdering her.”

Anubis just grinned, “Murder is the best kind of incapacitation.” He then glanced around for a door, “After all, she certainly won't be getting in our way now will she?”

Heimdall just looked away, he had a point there...but it was still wrong to just murder someone like that.

Aphrodite finally decided to speak to Anubis, after stewing in her anger for long enough, “Like...It was still a totally stupid move, ya know? I bet others now know ya like totally just like murdered her!” She then gasped, “Oh my Arceus! What if like they are all like just gathering all of their group together and then just like totally kill us!”

Heimdall blinked, “She has a point. I'm sure the rest of the Pokemon in here would notice such a disturbance.” If that was true, then they were going to be in a crap load of trouble soon.

Anubis grinned as he stared at his team-mates, “You two are scared? That is priceless...” He then snickered, “So what if they noticed? I'm sure they wouldn't care much. I mean you have to have a soul to care after all~”

“Who wouldn't care exactly?” A masculine voice called out as the group halted, “Just because we are ghost types...or at least the majority of us...Doesn't mean we can not feel such an emotion. Who are you to say we have no souls?”

Anubis just laughed at the voice's indignation, “Because you all are dead? Who cares about a bunch of rotting corpses anyway?”

Aphrodite just glared at Anubis, “Our team leader is like a ghost type, ya know?” She then frowned, “Isn't that like totally like rude or something?”

Anubis just laughed at the zombie Feebas, “I appreciate you dear Aphrodite because you came from the same event as me...But you should learn to not sound like such a vapid twit.”

Aphrodite's eyes just widened as she started to tear up, “Like....th-that's just like....so...so.....”

Anubis smirked, “Mean? Oh wait...let me put it in a way you'd understand....Like oh my Arceus was I such a meanie head? Like...just gag me with a spoon!” At that Aphrodite just started to cry.

Heimdall frowned, “...That was uncalled for Anubis.”

Anubis just stuck his tongue out, “Oh go to hell you damn priest.” He then turned around, "As for you mysterious voice. Come on out and face me properly!” He then smirked, “Then again...I'd just utterly smoke you and send you back to the trash you came from.”

“Very well then.” The voice said as a Dusknoir phased through the wall they were near and glared at the trio, “I'm here.” He then stared at Anubis, “...You said something about sending me to the trash I came back from?”

Anubis hesitated in his speech for a bit at the sheer size of the Pokemon in front of him, before shaking his head and getting into a fighting stance, “...Forget that. I'll just shred you to pieces.”

The Dusknoir grinned, “Very well then...But before you can shred me to pieces...how about having some fun for a little bit?” At this he punched the floor beneath him as it started to crumble, it then spread to where the trio was standing as they fell into the lower part of the first floor.
-
Aphrodite groaned as she got up from her position on the rubble, sometimes it helped a lot to be dead, “Like great going numbskull...Now we are....we are...” She then glanced around, “...Like, where the hell are we?”

Heimdall was the next to get up being his fall was broken by Anubis who lay on the ground dazed, “From the looks of it. I'd say some sort of chamber.” He then glanced around at the various skeletons around the floor and frowned, “Some kind of burial chamber to be precise.”

Aphrodite blinked, “What would it be doing down here? Wasn't this like...totally a sacred place?”

Heimdall nodded, “I've read about this place. It used to be a grand place of worship...but then it caught on fire mysteriously one day and has been abandoned ever since.”

Aphrodite shivered, “...That is horrifying.” She then stared at the skeletons scattered around the ground, “Then these are the remains of the Pokemon who perished in the fire?”

Heimdall nodded, “Most likely.”

There was a snickering voice as two sets of eyes stared at the group from the shadows, “Remains of Pokemon, yes they are...” A feminine voice began as a Haunter floated from the shadows.

“However from the fire, they are not.” A masculine voice finished as a Banette stepped from the shadows to float beside the Haunter, “Hello there.”

Heimdall's eyes widened, “Who are you?”

The Haunter glanced at the Banette before looking back to the group, “We are...”

The Banette giggled as it's zippered mouth tilted upwards in a grin, “The executioners.”

The Haunter smirked, “My name is Fenrir.”

The Banette smirked as well, “My name is Ares.”

The two ghost types then posed together, “We are your death sentence!”

Aphrodite blinked at the odd introduction, “...Like death sentence? For like what?” Last she checked, Heimdall and her had done nothing wrong, Anubis...well...he did. But not them.

Fenrir just scoffed, “You want our Dusk Stones right?”

Heimdall shook his head, “Not all of them. We just want one...This...This Pokemon needs it to...evolve.” He would prefer to avoid a fight, he just wanted to get the Dusk stone and leave this place. Any tower with a burial chamber was a clear sign that something wasn't right there.

Ares laughed, “Just one?” He then glanced at Fenrir, “Did you hear that? They just want one Dusk Stone is all~”

Fenrir smirked, “Oh yes I heard.” He then raised his hands above him, “Dusk stones are an important asset to us. They are the very key of worship for the great one!”

Ares nodded, “Yep~ The great one would certainly bestow upon us his praise!”

Aphrodite just frowned, noticing Anubis was starting to wake up, if they could get out of here before he decided to say something else stupid...that would be for the best, “Then it wouldn't hurt you to part with just one measly Dusk Stone. We could tell the Pokemon who needs it that it's for worshiping the great one...Like....umm...like...who is like the great one anyway?”

Fenrir smirked, “Why it's Darkrai of course~” At the shocked looks of the group in front of him he laughed, “What's so wrong about that?”

Aphrodite just stared, now freaked out, “Doesn’t he like...totally want to like...destroy everyone or something grody like that?”

Heimdall shrugged, “He's certainly not a nice Pokemon from what I've heard and read about him at the guild.”

Ares tilted his head in confusion, “Guild? You are guild members?”

Aphrodite nodded with a smile, “Yep! We are like totally part of Team Olympus from the Guild of the Sun!” She said happily advertising the guild.

Fenrir just stood silent, “...Guild hm?” He then glanced at Ares who nodded his head, “Then we shall dispose of you right here. You can perish and join the skeletons in this chamber.” He then threw a volley of Dark Pulse attacks at the Feebas and Togepi.

Heimdall quickly dodged out of the way of the wave of darkness before being slammed into the wall by a Sucker Punch attack from Ares.

Aphrodite gasped as she had managed to float above the waves of darkness, and blinked as she realized she could float. She then stared up at the hole they fell from and quickly began to 'swim' upwards to get out of the chamber.
Fenrir noticed this attempt at an escape and cut the Feebas off with a Shadow Ball which blasted the zombie fish into a wall making her slide down to the ground in a crumpled heap.

With each hit to the wall the tower began shaking somewhat as if it couldn't handle such hard impacts, which considering the age and state of the tower was probably true.

Heimdall just coughed as he was sucker punched again, before blasting Ares in the face with Ancientpower.
The Banette crashed into the ground as the rocks hit him repeatedly, before pinning him under a pile of rubble.

Heimdall took this time to pray, as he glowed the power of Wish circling around Anubis, Aphrodite and him, it'd take time...but it'd help them to recover faster.

Ares phased himself through the rubble he was trapped in, a furious expression on his face as he aimed another sucker punch at Heimdall who just smirked and blasted the Banette with an Extrasensory.

Ares just shuddered as he raised his hands to his head, his senses starting to heighten more and more as more feelings of taste, smell....the taste of sulfer...the smell of smoke and charcoal. It all began to be too much for him as he lay on the ground convulsing from an induced seizure.

Heimdall gulped for breath, that move took a lot out of him, thankfully it seemed to stop the Banette, “Oh pitiful soul...May Arceus have mercy when he passes Judgment on your spirit.” He then unleashed one more extrasensory just to make sure the Banette wouldn't come back up and attack him.

Ares screamed as his senses began to overload again which in turn fried his brain which couldn't keep up with the sudden overwhelming pressure. He then stilled as his body slowly stopped twitching.

Heimdall frowned, “...” He then clapped his 'hands' together and began a simple prayer from the mind rape he gave the Banette.

Fenrir, noticing Ares' sudden stillness seethed in pure fury and utter hatred, “...You....you....YOU!” He then growled as he charged up an even bigger Dark Pulse, Heimdall who was too deep in his prayer unfortunately failed to notice this.

Aphrodite however woke up due to Heimdall's wish/prayer finally working it's magic which healed her as well as the other two, “...Don't like touch him Fenrir.” She said as she hit Fenrir in the back with a Dragonbreath, as Fenrir collapsed due to the paralysis effect of the attack she finished him off with a wave of Dragon Pule which mixed with the Dark Pulse which was still charging and made a mini explosion.

After the dust had settled, Fenrir and Ares' ashes lay on the ground where there bodied had been just a few moments ago.

Aphrodite sighed in relief, “...We need to get out of here.” She then noticed Anubis wake up and scoffed, “Like I so can't believe you just like totally slept through that whole fight! Like...oh my Arceus man. What a downer!”

Anubis just stared at the zombie Feebas in confusion, “...Battle? ...Ugh....My ******** head hurts.”

Heimdall looked up at Anubis, “We should get out of here before they come back. They are ghost Pokemon after all....I'd rather not be around when their ashes form back together again.”

Aphrodite and Anubis ( who was still confused about everything ) nodded in agreement, before Aphrodite blinked, “Oh...But like...how?”

Just then a spiraling hole opened up underneath them making them fall into it.
Moments after they found themselves back on the first floor in front of a door, that was not the one they had come out of.

“Well...I'm guessing this is the other side right?” Heimdall spoke up as Anubis and Aphrodite both nodded, “Then let's get this mission over with. Shall we?”

Anubis scoffed, “The sooner the better. This shitty place is giving me a headache.”

Heimdall sighed at Anubis' rough way of putting it before opening the door. Which wouldn't budge.

What?

Heimdall's eye's widened as he tried turning the knob again, which just like the last time he tried it...wouldn't budge.

Laughter then started to echo around them as it began to get louder and louder, “Oh....You want to end this fun so soon?” The Dusknoir from earlier then appeared before them again, “...Too bad for you I don't want you to leave here. Well...At least leave here with a body. Maybe in a bag...or as dust.”

Anubis glared at the Dusknoir, “Like hell we are!”

The Dusknoir smirked, “My name is Erlik. As my name implies I will send you all to your greatest misery.” He then laughed, “Wonder what ghost you will become?”

Aphrodite frowned, “I don't think so! I refuse to become a ghost!”

Anubis raised a brow at that statement, “You are a zombie. You know...You are already as dead as dead can be. I don't think you can become a ghost either way.”

Aphrodite just huffed. She was still a tad irked at the fact she was a zombie, I mean yeah...she couldn't die again...probably, but there were some disadvantages to it. Then again...

Erlik just glared at the group, “Cheeky little bunch aren't you?” He then raised a palm to them, “...I'll be sure to make your deaths as slow and painful as possible.”

Heimdall glanced to the door, so if they couldn't pass through that door without beating Erlik...then that means he was using some kind of force to hold the door shut! Which means all they needed to do was break his concentration!

Thankfully Anubis decided to just jump right into the action, as he used his aura to power up his body and hit Erlik who was still talking death threats in the neck...area.
Erlik coughed at the sudden hit, impossible! This lowly runt who dared to insult him...and was a fighting type above all that! He dared to attack him?! The great Erlik?! INCONCIEVABLE!

Grabbing the Riolu's leg Erlik growled as he whipped the demonic looking Pokemon into the ground, then picked him up and smashed him into the ground again, and again, and again.

Aphrodite's eyes widened as she winced at each slam the Riolu's body made on the floor, sure the Riolu was a huge a*****e and was a rude jerk.....wait...where was she going with this? ...He deserved this.

Heimdall however, who even though he knew the Riolu was a complete douche-bag, was still a priest...and as such would not tolerate the torture of anyone. Even a jerk like Anubis, “Halt!” He shouted out as he hit Erlik with an Ancientpower as the rocks damaged the Dusknoir enough to stop him from slamming Anubis into the ground.

“You dare interrupt me?” Erlik asked, “This runt deserves every bit of this.”

Heimdall glanced at Anubis' bruised and battered body and frowned, “I will agree he is something that belongs outside in the dumpster.” He then noticed Anubis' pained glare and continued, “However. He is still a member of our team, as a proper guild member and a devout priest, I refuse to let you harm him anymore.”

Erlik smirked, “Big talk from such a lowly egg.” He then tossed Anubis behind him like some rag-doll, his attention now focused on Heimdall, “But can you back this boast up?” He then aimed a Dark Pulse at Heimdall who just stood there with a smirk not even bothering to dodge.

Heimdall then slammed into the ground as he began praying again, to heal the group yet again, just a little more time...he just needed to buy a little more time.

Erlik laughed, “Not even bothering to dodge hm? Guess you couldn't back up that huge speech of yours.” He then scoffed at the Togepi, “How utterly pathetic. If this is the best your so called guild can turn out, it must be a pretty worthless piece of trash.”

Anubis shuddered as he felt a healing energy around him, what was this warmth flowing through him? It felt so....innocent, and pure. He grunted as his aura color started to shift from red to a lighter shade so it looked slightly pink. His demonic colored eyes also started to shift from an unholy shade of red...to a softer shade of blue.

User Image

He then stood up as the results of Heimdall's Wish/prayer finished healing his wounds, “Thank you Heimdall. That was very decent of you to help me.”

Heimdall gasped at the much nicer aura that surrounded the Riolu, just what was going on with that Pokemon?

Anubis then turned to Aphrodite, “My sincere apologies lady Aphrodite for causing you such distress earlier.” He said with a sincere smile.

Aphrodite blinked, what? What the flying hell was with this? Did Erlik drug her or something? Was this seriously the same Riolu who was almost pure evil just moments ago?

Anubis then glanced at Erlik, “....As for you. I need to repay you for using my body as a club.” He then glanced at his team mates, “As well as subjecting our team to such misery earlier at the hands of your lackeys.”

Erlik just stared at Anubis, “...What the...” He was then cut off by a Blaze Kick, Anubis then hyped his speed up with Agility as he aimed another Blaze Kick at Erlik, then another, then another, then one more.

As Erlik fell on the ground, nearly unconscious and slightly crispy from the repeated burnings due to the fires of the kicks, Anubis then chanted some unholy sounding words as he surrounded the Dusknoir in black smoke. The Hex attack was enhanced by the burn Erlik was suffering which made the pain even more intense.
He then barely registered a faint buzzing sound as the result of Heimdall's earlier Future Sight came true and hit him, which combined with the Hex and the burning to ignite him in flames, which quickly died down.

Erlik was now like his two lackeys before him a pile of smoldering ash on the floor.

Aphrodite blinked, “...We like totally did it! Woo! Go us! Oh yeah! Like we are totally like so awesome, ya know?” She said excitedly, not happily cheering.

Anubis smiled, “We are awesome aren't we?” He then glanced at Heimdall, “Well? Shall we get that Dusk stone?”

Heimdall who was just about to comment on Anubis' sudden aura change just faltered, before shaking his head, “...Yeah. Let's finish this.”

Anubis giggled happily as he skipped to the door and opened it, revealing a huge pile of Dusk stones.

….Along with a very pissed off Nincada.

The group stopped as they noticed the bug type was now fully healed, the only hint that she was impaled with a fist was a small scar on her back, her eyes then glowed red as she made eye contact with Anubis and latched onto his face.

Anubis cried out in shock and pain as she gripped harder, before biting him, “Kill....Kill.....Kill....Kill....killkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkillkill....killkillkillkillkillkillkill....KILL!” She repeated in a psychotic mantra as she kept biting the Riolu before screaming aloud and evaporating in a pile of ash.
A black fog like smoke was all that was left as it entered Anubis' mouth.

Anubis began to cough as he fell to the ground, convulsing wildly, foam coming from his mouth, before it stopped suddenly.
His aura turned from blue to red...then darkened further so it was a dark gray, as his eyes similarly went from a soft blue, to an unholy red, to a grim looking swirly white.

Heimdall and Aphrodite stared at Anubis...honestly confused by what just happened.

Anubis however stared at them and smirked, “...Hello Heimdall...Aphrodite.” His smirk widened as he showed off his double rows of sharp teeth, “Why so shocked?” He then noticed the pile of ashes as he giggled insanely, “That looks....delicious.” He then grabbed the ashes from the Nincada up using his aura and swallowed them, “...Erk. A tad bitter though.” He then glanced at the Dusk stone pile and smirked as he raised his arm up and rushed the pile into dust and shards with a Force Palm.

Heimdall stared, “...What?” So...all they went through? All that? IT WAS FOR NOTHING?!

Aphrodite gaped, she was just...dumbfounded. That was what they needed. Now it was all a pile of shards and dust!

Anubis cackled, “Oh don't look so down!” He then coughed up the Nincada's ashes he swallowed earlier which formed into a Dusk stone, “...Simple solution.”

Aphrodite just looked queasy, “....Erk. I...Like think I'm totally gonna hurl.”

Anubis cackled as he raised the guild badge above him, “Mission complete~”

(( One apple is used...Which should bring me up to....1 slot left? or 2 slots....one of them. It was supposed to be five pages but I got intrigued by the story so I think it ended up longer. I beat 5 enemies....and...umm...Yeah~ All requirements met~ ))

Turns out the client doesn't need their Dusk Stone after all, having realized that they are far easier to obtain simply by purchasing from one of the many guild affiliated shoppes. There truly was intention of calling off the mission, but team Olympus was already on the job before any word could be passed on. Efforts still were rewarded accordingly though as they found themselves able to keep the Dusk Stone they worked so hard for along with 500pd, a Will-o-Wisp TM, loads of character development, and a visit from a certain ghostly figure known as Ares wishing to join their team having proven themselves worthy.

Anubis + Aphrodite + Heimdall

Aphrodite's mouth dropped at the realization that they didn't even need to go on this mission, "Like...Are you like serious?" She then stared at the rewards, "...Seriously? Like? ...All that for...Like...ugh! Gag me with like a spoon, ya know?"

Heimdall just smiled and took the rewards, "Let's just be thankful for these rewards. It's what Arceus would want." He then gave a small prayer.

Anubis however just giggled, "I'm sure Arceus would like this~ Wonder what he tastes like?" At the stares of his teammates, "What?"

At the appearance of Ares, Heimdall gave a small bow, "I'm sorry. But I'm not sure whether Eros would want another team mate so soon."

The team then left the Banette who trudged back to the tower.
