How would you do it? would you (A) Make exactly as it is written in greek mythos, (B) Bring it into the modern era, (ie based in the here and now like the Percy Jackson series, or (C) a totally new way. Also if you choose C, please explain how you would do it as best you can.

Ive been dreaming of making my own films for a while now... I'd redo the Iliad... so it follows the story Homer set lending in a little archeaology but not much (Tory already tried that...*epic fail*) I'd also continue it with the Odyessy which i think id have to do in 2 parts... umm... other than that i'd look at making a mini serise out of the aristophanes plays... they are never too old to be funny! mrgreen

I thought it would be interesting to attempt to re-tell the myths as accurately as possible, but set it in modern America. Perhaps instead of "Gods" make them people (or personifications of objects) that we as Americans usually look up to or fear. Zeus would be a powerful politician. Apollo, a rock star. Aphrodite, a movie star/producer. Etc. An interesting take on the whole thing anyway.

Where would Aphrodite's children, such as Harmonia, Phobos, Deimos, and Cupid and Anteros(Plus Aeneas of Troy!) fit in, later on? Or what about Dionysus or Hercules?

Hercules would just be the winner of the Apprentice... twelve tasks, which he has conquered - overcoming all opposition he faces....

I would make Antigone into a movie and I would make it exactly like the myth.

"Something simple can change your day, Something simple can change your way. It's in your heart, not you're mind."
If I would make a movie on any Greek myth I would definitly make it in the modern day era. To me, it would be a lot more interesting that way. A lot like the Percy Jackson books. I guess thats what appealed to be first off.
"It's something good inside you'll find. Don't forget who you are. Don't forget you're a shining star."
