Even in the extreme cold, the fun they were having seemed to ward off the intense feeling of the freezing cold, wet snow. As Aerith pelted his face with another round of snow, she fell into a fit of giggles at the sight of him. It was a Snow Zack! Her little laughter didn't last to much longer as she was pulled into a surprising little kiss, and she would instantly feel the cold of those lips, as well as her face as the snow covering his own face pressed against hers. What a interesting kiss to share! When she moved her head back after a moment of returning that icy kiss, she fell right back into laughter as she began to crush the white snow that stuck to her face.
Tifa meanwhile, wasn't having quite the happy time she so obviously hoped for, even now, Cloud was as distant as a twinkling star, there was no reaching him. As he turned away and displayed his interest in the snowball fight by quickly leaving the scene she just stood there, sighing softly. She wasn't going to give chase,and instead went over to Aerith and Zack, though her focus was mostly on Aerith, who she gave a smile to, even laughing softly at the two snow-covered faces. She wouldn't ruin their fun, and really, it made her very happy to see how happy they were together. They deserved all the happiness in the world. "Sorry to bother you both, but do you mind if I sneak into your old home, Aerith? " It was still abandoned, after all the years. Exactly as it was left so many years ago. "I might try to get a fire started..." God knows she needed it, she wasn't exactly dressed for this weather. "You know you don't have to ask me, silly. Go right ahead! I'll come help with the fire in a moment! "

Cloud Strife"All right everyone, let's mosey." "Why the hell you always stand like that?" Barret, who had gone to find Cloud after making his calls, had found him with his arms crossed, leaning against a wall. "You don't look nearly as cool as you think in your damn head.""Anything about those trucks?""I'm gettin' to it! Impatient-a**. They're on their way, shouldn't be long. You owe me one!""Put it on my tab." Cloud responded dryly. "Maybe it can start to make up for all those times I saved you during our journey.""What the hell're you on about? I was the one always savin' yo' punk-a**!""That's not how I remember things going.""Well, you ain't known for havin' the best memory, so I'm gonna call that a win for me." Cloud gave him an exasperated look. He did have a point, though there was quite a difference between his memory issues related to Zack and remembering what had happened barely over a year prior. "So, hell's up with Aerith and that other SOLDIER guy? Also, was he actually a SOLDIER or also pretendin' like you?"Cloud sighed. "Did you pay attention at all when I explained this before? Zack was a SOLDIER First Class. I... struggled with his death, and it caused me to mix things up in my mind." That was putting it lightly. He felt completely responsible for Zack's death, and he felt even more guilty when his trauma caused him to compartmentalize Zack's entire existence and he forgot everything. Even despite promising he would remember."...s**t, I get you." Barret nodded. "Not a damn day goes by I don't think about Dyne. I coulda done somethin'--anythin' better to keep him alive. It's hard trynna take care of that beautiful girl knowing her dad's gone because of me.""You are Marlene's father." Cloud said certainly. "And I don't think Dyne's death was your fault. He said it himself--he had too much blood on his hands to hold her again.""I ain't lookin' for your reassurance, spike!""I wouldn't be saying this if it wasn't true. I'm not interested in giving empty reassurance, especially to you.""Hmpf. Pretendin' to be a hardass all the way to the end, ain't you? Still, 'preciate it, I suppose. But it's not like my hands are clean either. Takin' Shinra down was the right call, but we were goin' 'bout it all wrong at the start. Blowin' reactors, gettin' innocent people in the crossfire. Those deaths ain't goin' away. They'll always be on me.""...Maybe. But we've all made mistakes. I don't think many of our hands are very clean.""My hands may not be fit to hug that girl, but I'll still do it, and they'll be bloodier if they gotta be to protect her." Cloud nodded, mostly agreeing with the sentiment. "...'Nuff with the grim s**t, though. That Zack guy with Aerith? Romantically?"Cloud nodded. "They met a long time ago, and they've always had that kind of relationship. They met before I even met Zack, and over 5 years before I met Aerith.""They do seem pretty close... Tough luck, bud." Cloud raised an eyebrow. "...'Cause of Aerith? She's too good for you obviously, but still a damn shame.""You think I'm interested in Aerith?" Cloud shook his head. "Not my type." And he was being honest. There may have been a time he considered the idea, but as they became closer, both of them had come to understand they weren't right for each other. Aerith's interest in Cloud was largely because of the aspects of him that reminded her of Zack, while Cloud had never really introduced her to the real him. Very, very few people really knew the "real" Cloud--mainly Zack and Tifa of those present currently, really. He had been a complete mess trying to play himself off as cool and skilled all the way until she died and a while after."All right... so what is "your type," then? You never talked about anythin' nearly this interesting during the journey, so tell me!""What is this, high school?""Answer the damn question!"Cloud sighed, turning his head to face forward as he thought. "...I guess... it would need to be someone I know well. Who knows me well. Someone I have a history with. Someone... who would be there for me when I needed them. Someone who'd have my back, but also wouldn't be afraid to tell me when I was acting like an idiot. Someone strong but kind. Just... Someone like that, I guess. Pretty vague.""Uh, you talkin' about Tifa?""...What?!" Cloud nearly fell over from surprise as he felt his heart jump, and he ended up leaning off the wall after that. "No! I wasn't talking about a specific person.""You sure? 'Cause you called it vague, but you just described Tifa. History, strong, got your back, call you on your bullshit... and someone there for you when you needed 'em? Wasn't that whole business in Mideel between you two exactly that?""That's not..." Cloud's brain was suddenly racing. "I was just being vague.""Right... Tifa deserves a lot better than you, spike! But you know she thinks the world'a you, right? Calls me all the time and it's just, "Cloud" this, "Cloud" that, like damn, shut up girl! So you better not break her heart, all right? Or you'll piss me off!""I'm terrified." Cloud responded dryly. "...Does she really talk about me that much?""Goddamn, you are the densest ********, you know that? ********>" Barret threw his arms in frustration as he began to walk away. "Stupid spikey-a**, how the hell'd he beat Sephiroth? Or the WEAPONs? He's a goddamn idiot!"Cloud stared blankly at the large man as he walked off ranting as he usually does, before turning away, thinking to himself. "...I was just saying whatever came to my head. I wasn't- Tifa isn't- I'm not- ..." He sighed. "There are more important things to focus on right now anyway..." (( OOC: ))
