Ok, I got an idea for a game/competition/contest thing. I don't think its been done before, but I could be wrong. At any rate - its just an idea and I need help fine tuning it, if it is going to actually sprout wings and fly... Fantasy Booty Grab. Kinda based on the American obsession with fantasy sports. But, honestly, I've never actually participated - tho I've had some great ideas for a kick a** fantasy football team. Anyway, I was thinking I'd have to set up another subforum just for the purpose of this. If there are going to be prizes, there would need to be an entrance fee. The guild is small, so we may have to go on a recruiting spree first - or open the game to the general public.... Each entrant would choose 18 tanks - they do not have to be members - and have them posted in their own thread in the Fantasy subforum. Having all the tanks posted in individual threads will make it easier to keep track of who is playing what, how much each tank has made for the week (oooo might have to have a stat thread for that too), and how much each individual "team" has made on a weekly basis... Ugggh! See what I mean?! Great idea - but Im sure there is much more to think out than I have come up with. Please post your thoughts/comments/ideas here. If you think this is too ambitious, then say so - I can take critique. What I cant take is complaining after its started. Also, if anyone does not agree with someone else's thoughts/comments/ideas, thats find but present it in a nonconfrontational way or keep it to yourself. All thoughts/comments/ideas with be closely considered. Thanks for your help.

Could be interesting. You know how in football, every team has 1 QB (starting). So, you could say each team gets 1 super tank. Then, 2-3 each of dolphin, wolf, lawn tanks. Then the rest would be made up of other tanks? OR You could assign a value to each type of fish and say you only get 1 tank that totals more than x points. For example, airsharks/stones = 10. So you only get one tank that scores 170 points. Doing it this way might be better since there are a lot fewer pure tanks now days. Soci did something similar for his invite requests back when he was active - link.

Airshark - 12 points Stone Coatl - 10 Dolphin - 8 Outlaw Wolf - 6
Lawnshark, Gwee, Mr. Cooks, Momo, Grunny Sub?, Landshark? - 4
KKD, Feathered Coatl, Bladed Vase, Lorelei, OMGWTF, Gnome Major, General Mayhem, Gnome Courier, Gilroy, Waterspout, Piranha, Turtle - 3
Alpha Gram, Lightning Bug, Walker, Purse, Kokeshi Collectible, Laceback Galosh, Watermeat?, Mt. Pinchi, Tiny Terror, Labtech, Prairie Pup, Clutch, Kokeshi Doll, Reindeer, Sea Angel, Dark Knight Fish, Ninja Fish - 2
Starfish (any color), Killer Whale, Memphis, Lila, Zoey, Mantaray, Cathulu, Landstrider, Buzz Kill, Cuckoo, Rooster, Buzz Saw, Peelunger, Garlic, Air Fluff, Death Roach, Barnacle Fluff, Raven, Grucken, Alarm Skeeter, Carrion Flower Fluff, OMG, Gramster, Gingerbread Fish, Narwhal, Irrawaddy Dolphin, Diving Suit Ticket, Knight Fish, Octopii, Gold Nugget Pleco, Nautilus, Mimi Kitty, Kiki Kitty, Hamuhamu, Jellyfish, Candy Corn, Penguin, Grey Snail, Sea Horse, 2009 Easter Egg, 2008 Winter Snow Crystal, Hermit Cat - 1
Goldfish, Pirate Starfish (assuming it still never glows) - 0
I based this on what these types of fish output, how often they glow, and/or how much they earn on a weekly basis.
Then you can say you get: 1 tank of 170 or more points 2-3 tanks of 120-169 points 2-3 tanks of 90-119 points And so on. Then, if you don't want to take a tank of 170+ points, you get an extra from any lower category.
There are 14 "super" tanks, 13 of which would qualify as 170+ points using my offered scheme. So I think 1 per person, but I guess that could change depending on the number of interested parties.
(EDIT: added all the fish)

Thank you for the feed back, Hells & Co. I like the idea of the point system, I think. It makes it a little more fair, limiting the super tanks ect. The QB analogy was good! xd @ Tigs - Dear, don't get too caught up in the sports references - I think it was just an example of why there should be shome limitations put on the "teams" - to make it fair to everyone.
I am thinking about the work aspect.... 18 tanks to a team is probably a bit much. Maybe more like 9 or 12? (for sports fans: closer to a baseball team than a football team LOL)
Anyone else out there feel like putting their 2 cents worth in? Would love the feedback! And maybe a few more votes in the poll... Ummmm is that wood burning? LOL

9-12 tanks per team sounds better.
I can make an Excel spreadsheet that people can use to calculate a tank's total points, if needed.
EDIT: Oh and I can get make some non-guild members play if we need more people. wink

Well, it would seem there is alot of work that needs to be done to this idea - and not alot of interest being shown in it here at this time. So I'm shelving it.
