and turned to look at 'Clair,
who was probably looking
the most miserable he'd
ever seen him. His answer
should be interesting, if
just to see how much of
the past half hour made
it through his skull.

Seeing Marie move
closer to 'Clair, he frowned.
What was she thinking

him like that? Taking a
particularly large book
from his bag, he put it down
on the table with a loud
'thump' and started flipping
through the pages.

Sync couldn't help it. He zoned out after the first sentence Anselm uttered. It didn't matter that the maths quiz was up the next day, he simply couldn't wrap his mind around this stupid topic.

Realizing Marie was trying to read over his shoulder, he blushed slightly and pushed his textbook a little towards her, so she'd see better.

He didn't like the look Anselm was giving him while continuing his mindless droning about triangles and stuff.

I saw Annie's frown and i knew he could read his friends well but not girls i grinned as Sync shoved the book over so i could read it. I knew he couldn't understand it the way Annie was explaining it heck even I couldn't undertand a word of what he was saying thats why i was trying to read the book trying to find a eaiser way to word it. It was no wonder Sync couldn't understnad annnie he wasn't even reading from the book the book was way eaiser to understand.

"Thanks,"I said so Annie could hear but I then leaned over and whispered to Sync"Later if you still want help come to my table at the hostess club I'll explain it so you can understand it"

I said Standing up and grabbing my bag
"Well I've got to go I'll see ya around"I said waving and walking off to the Hostess Club

Marie got up and left.
Sighing he closed the book.
It was obvious he'd been wasting
his breath. 'Clair looked
more confused then ever.
"Listen, I should probably
be heading home. How
'Bout I just cough once
for 'A', twice for 'B' and
thrice for 'C'?"

He'd done it before
to help out another
guy at his old school.
You'd think it'd be
conspicuous, having
a student coughing
all the time in the
middle of a test, but
go in looking like
you've just spent
last night in the rain
eating ice and you
could get away with it.

"Yeah," he said. "Do you think that would work?"
He glanced after Maire.
"You think she lies me?" he wondered aloud, then looked at Anselm. "What?"

Anselm turned away
from 'Clair, so he wouldn't
see the desire to punch
him written plainly on his
face. "Nothing."
Quickly packing up his things,
he got up and slung his bag
over his shoulder. "I'll see
you 'round," he lifted his
fingers in a small salute
and left.

Fuming, Anselm made
his way across the
football field to where
his chauffeur stood with
his idling Mercedes.
Sometimes he just couldn't
help but wonder what 'Clair
took to make him so unbelievably
thick. It was almost as if he
were running in a competition
with that Suoh guy for the title
of 'World's thickest moron.'

Kira walked onto the field slowly and sighed.
Why in the world would Mother tell me join the Soccer Club?
She should know very well that I'm not coordinated at all!
I've never even played soccer before!

Kira shrugged it off. Perhaps if she was terrible enough,
she wouldn't make it on the team...
then Mother would stop pestering her.

A soccer ball was nearby her feet.
She looked and saw the goal on the other side of the field.
If I don't make this,
I won't even bother walking up there to ask
about the Soccer Club.
She swiftly kicked the ball;
she looked up and surprisingly saw the ball fly straight in the goal.
Shocked, she began kicking the ball around for fun.

It only takes a couple seconds to say hello,

but forever to say goodbye.
