Dionysus let out a small giggle of amusement as he poked at Hera’s cheek playfully, “You blush too easily, Hera... Much too easily! And... I must ask, in what way do you ‘like me’?” He tilted his head again, like before, making all his hair fall over one shoulder, “I don’t usually care for details like that, but right now I must ask, simply because.. well, I’m curious.”

“Oh, is that so?” Dionysus raised an eyebrow at her as he stared at her, his eyes scanning every inch of her face for any more hints, “I haven’t heard that in a while...” He looked away and managed to laugh a little as he began to remember all the ‘confessions’ he had received in the past, “Mostly all I hear nowadays is the people who worship me entirely saying that they love me. Men and women are fascinated by me, calling me beautiful yet handsome... I suppose I appeal to both sexes because of that, but it does get a little boring after a while.”

He looked away for a moment, and then glanced back to Hera, his grin now more playful like before, “Being flirted with by everyone that sees me is such a pain. I only really care for the idea of true love, to be honest...”

“Are you afraid he will be unfaithful to you again...?” Dionysus asked with a slightly more saddened look on his face now, that idea somehow hurting him a little. He hated the idea of being unfaithful, especially since he had a wife of his own, but he also had to admit that the fact Zeus was unfaithful was the reason he had been born in the first place, so he wasn’t sure which ‘side’ to be on, “I haven’t heard anything about his other relationships in quite some time, so I don’t know how often he does it nowadays...”

Dionysus gave her another hug, this time using both arms to envelope her in his embrace, holding her as close as he possibly could, “Ssssh, it’s ok...” He hushed her, running his fingers through her hair comfortingly, “As long as you love him, you will stay with him... I know my Father has these bad habits, but he can care for people when he wants to, and he must still love you, Hera...” He hesitated, then leaned in close enough to kiss her forehead so softly that it could barely be felt, “Just please... try to cheer up, ok?”

Dionysus was silent for a moment, thinking over his reply carefully. Then, as another wide grin began to spread across his face, he replied in the happiest tone he could muster, “I know you don’t... But here’s an idea. How about, whenever it happens, you come to see me? I love talking to people over a few drinks, so I wouldn’t mind it at all!”
