She emerged from the sea.

Soaked. Sea-weed coloured hair dripping with water, a few more trinkets and shells clasped delicately within her teeth. May the Gods help whomever tried to take these new treasures from her. Foxes could be so foolish. She guarded her gifts, her treasures from the sea with a fierceness most foxes couldn't hope to compare with.

Eyes like fire-coral slipped from side to side before she started to dig a small, temporary hole, gently putting her finds in and smoothing the sand overtop. Turning, she began making her way towards the call of the water when something caught her eyes. Someone, rather, that was just as easy to identify as her precious shells. Her sister. Wet tail swaying, she moved over. True they'd seen one another a few weeks ago...they really hadn't had the time to reconnect.

Odessa lay in the shallow water, her chin just barely dipping into the ocean as she set it on her paws; eyes closing gently as she listened to the sounds of the sea and it's creatures. Her ears flicked gently whenever they got splashed, and her breathing slowed so that she could relax for once in the one place where she felt at home. Her thoughts drifted as though the waves were pushing them around in her mind, and she was surprised with the fact they hadn't settled upon her shells or the new ones she needed to complete her collection. After awhile her mind finally settled on a single, much more complicated subject; that of her past and the family she had left behind. All she could remember was confusion and wandering..... And her sister, the only person she had left before she disappeared. Choral had always accepted her, despite her speech problems and the fact she much preferred to be mute, no matter what anyone else had to say on the subject. It had been so long since Odessa had last seen her, and she couldn't even recall whether she had learned to speak French before or after they had lost each other. Now that she had returned from the sea, the words hadn't come to her in either language; there was so much to say, and yet so little she could find.

Hearing the padding of wet feet and the drag of a tail, she lifted her head before letting her eyes flutter open; eying her sister with a look that resembled something one would give at seeing a ghost. "Choral...." She said gently, a small, soft smile tugging at the corners of her mouth, paw reaching out to pat the other vixen's softly. "Hello.... What....?" Motioning towards the beach, she seemed to be intent on seeing if the ocean's beauty still captivated her sister; if their interests were still one, despite the fact their personalities were like night and day.
