I'm not sure what the cards are doin, i mean D.A is TERRABLE!! Leinart is bad too soo idk, The cardinals will have to rely on their D this year. Maybe they should coax the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL to release Jeff Garcia, then they could still go somewhere

I'm not suprised that Leinart lost the QB competition, what suprises me is that he lost it to Derek Anderson! Anderson has the potential to be great, he had that one pro bowl year in Cleveland where the team went 10-6 a few years back, but his biggest problem is inconsistency. He has more potential of the big play than Leinart, but also has a higher chance of throwing interceptions. And signs of his inconsistency have shown through during the pre-season.
If it was me, I would have started Leinart, BUT keep Anderson ready, Leinart knows the offense, he's been with the team for several years and just seems to be a better choice, even if he's more concervative with the ball. And if he fails to develop during the season and prove himself, then bring Anderson in and discuss trade options for Leinart for the end of the year. Maybe they can trade him and be able to coax Dante' Culpepper back from the UFL.

Jeff is a guy who could lead a team like the cards back to the superbowl. With that said, I would start D.A. Anderson has experience, although most of it is bad. And hi spro bowl year for me dosent count, like 4 QBs ahead of him decided not to go...Including Brady and Favre

And hi spro bowl year for me dosent count, like 4 QBs ahead of him decided not to go...Including Brady and Favre A pro bowl is still a pro bowl, besides, Favre that year played for Green Bay, NFC, his going into the pro bowl or not wouldn't have effected Anderson getting in since Cleveland is AFC.
Jeff Garcia is a good QB, and another good choice for the Cardinals to bring in, but I think Culpepper is just as good, and Dante has taken his team deep into the playoffs, one missed field goal shy of a Superbowl apperance if I'm not mistaken. I think he would be just as good an alternative choice as Garcia.
Anderson has more experience starting than Leinart, but not with this team, with this offense, Leinart is more in tune with this team and knows the offensive system, he's been practicing it behind Warner for the past several season. I think his Quarterback rating during the pre-season is full proof of that since his stats we're higher than Andersons.
From what I hear Wisenhunt and several players in the lockeroom don't believe Leinart has what it takes to be an effective locker room leader. Playing well on the field is only part of the QB's job, being a good leader in the locker room is also key, making sure the team believes in it's Quarterback, and the majority of the team did not get that feeling from Leinart, that was the deciding factor to starting Anderson.
But with Roethlisberger still out for 4 games, and Leftwich missing at least 1 month of the regular season due to injury, the Steelers are now short handed in the QB department. Perhaps they will try and make a deal for Leinart? Just a thought.

My bad Favre was with Green Bay that year, but you still have to look and see because a few qbs droped.
Anyways I think Leinart will end up in Seattle with his former coach. Reports are that they are unhappy with their depth chart at the QB position. Not only that but Hasselbeck cant play forever lol.

I think your right about Seattle, At least in Pittsburgh they are looking to get Roethlisberger and probably Leftwich back after their bye before their week 6 game, they just have to survive with Batch and Dixon as their QB's till then, but even so, that's not much of a depth chart at QB.
Hasselbeck is pretty injury prone, and is getting up there in age. And with Pete Carroll back in the League, he may snatch Leinart as a potential starting QB prospect later down the line. That and I think Leinart would enjoy playing for Seattle more than Pittsburgh, since the Seahawks play the Cardinals twice a season, this could give him a chance to show up his old team.
Though this is all just in theory. We'll have to wait and see what happens.

Im also intrested to see where former Bucs RB derrick ward lands, hes met with the texans and is going to seattle. SOme believe he will meet with the giants too. Only logical place I see him ending up is Denver because they are always low on RBs, Ward is extremely out of shape tho.
