Mortician my belief is this may be a way they push the Undertakers potential final storyline. he has always stated his retirement would co-incide with the return of Paul Bearer to his corner so im under the influence that he may be the champion going into Mania, win the title and unify them then have some epic happening to retire him, being Undertaker the WWE would go all out, maybe a lightning strike him in the ring leaving him a heap and the Paul Bearer use the monks to place him in a casket and wheel him away. something of said effect to keep his wrestlemania streak in tact, have him the first unified champion of the new era and give him a suitable send off in typical Undertaker fashion. If they want to unify the titles whatever but the Have Undertaker win it then retire? ******** that. If they did that he would be just like Hogan in my eyes. You dont retire HBK the way they did and then cater to Taker just cause hes been around for so long. So was Shawn and he didn get special treatment so neither should Taker, period.

HBK's whole thing was to be down to earth about stuff at the end of his career though. Taker's whole persona is still to be all encompassing and other worldly. He's supposed to be THE end all superstar in the WWE who's undefeated for WM so I can totally see them doing some ridiculous stuff for him. They basically HAVE to seeing how high they've put him.

The Maverick Jet You kids are just going to have to face it. the best years of wrestling are over and gone...its sad but its the truth We all know that, but at some point, we all thought the product would get better or more original, no matter what era we grew up watching. Even you. Just admit it.

Im not saying they wont do it, Im just saying Taker doesn deserve it. Odds are HBK didn want to leave the company on a "Hulk Hogan" like note and I respect him even more if thats the case but the tradition has always been that when you retire you leave on a loss. I dont like that Taker beat HBK two manias straight at all but i dont mind that HBK lost his last match because every wrestler should leave the traditional way, including Taker
