Have you ever watched your family tear apart right in front of your eyes?

That happened to me tonight.

I watched my family literally disintegrate at the seems. My sister *who is drunk* has stormed into the room my brother was sleeping in, and just started taking a whole bunch o' crap about how she paid the rent, even though my brother had repeatedly said he paid more than she paid for 3 months for 3 years *compared to her 3 months* And to top that off, when my brother ushered her out of the room, she litterally grabbed the door and tried to force her way in. My mom got so sick of it that she took a job that pays less than minimum wage, in a place that requires her to be half way up the state, just to get away from her.

And I couldn't say anything,case...well...I couldn't. As their arguing became more and more intense, my heart beat faster, my face flushed, my breathing became harder, and I could feel my left arm go numb. It was the same as when my sister talked down to me when I gave her the smart mouth.

Has anyone else had that feeling?

Hun in this instance there isn't much more for your family you can do to keep it together because they're too far gone. Trust me I know from experience. The best you can do is try to calm your sister and explain to her, very calmly I might add, what is going on and how you feel. She is probably looking for the fight so the best thing you can do is be patient and love her like a little sister should. It sounds hard and it is but I have a younger sister who creates problems in our family too and I've found that's the best way to deal with her or any other angry person. You deny them the fight that they're looking for and get straight to the matter. This will also help you to become a better person in life.

In addition to that if you are angry do not reliate, even if the person making you mad is really stupid.

Yes, I have had experiences like this. I would perfer not to go into detail, but...let's just put it this way, the issues ( all revolving arround my dad being an a** ) would escalate to the point that the 12-year-old boy ( me ) would have to sit everyone down and get them to stop arguing[?] or latch on to his sister to prevent her from leaving, making her realize that she can't just leave said brother with HIM. All leading to the point that the mother, sister, and boy leave the pothead, alchaholic, hasn't-had-a-job-fo-13-years, high school dropout, father all to his lonesome.

Wow, it feels good to get that out. mrgreen
