I've been trying to get people all over to take a look at it. Posted it in another guild, and in both the ED & GD. Not many replies, at least of a constructive nature. Almost like it got skipped over. But my threads have a tendency to do that.
I think my most informative thread was posted in the guild I'm in has quotations from the anti-ACTA site, along with wikipedia, and also gives out information on what we can do to help.
If you could spread this information to anyone you know, please let them know!
It was a sticky, but someone unstuck it. http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=19985119
Also, loving your signature Yanueh. Well. Not really, but it gets the point across. I'm going to use it as my signature from now on. Well until it's too late and it gets passed.

Yes, I've been aware of this for well over a year. I think it's a function of the government-is-good mindset to lump this in with all the other things that there is an outcry against in the US, and just ignore it, if the big-government side is the one you take.
There are Facebook groups against ACTA, as well as smaller regional groups, usually founded by ISPs. There is probably a group near you.
Wake up, people.

How have you been aware of it for over a year, when the public information just got released this April? Still, not many know. Or maybe they're just not talking about it.

I first encountered an ISP-based regional coalition on Facebook. If you wait until everything is made "public," you can find yourself in some very uncomfortable places. It's always a good idea to keep informed, and try to "see which way the wind is blowing." Maybe everything cannot be stopped, but that way you can try to prepare.

It's always a good idea to keep informed, and try to "see which way the wind is blowing." Maybe everything cannot be stopped, but that way you can try to prepare. Unfortunately, without it becoming public, people don't take it seriously as there have been many "false alarms" in the past - especially regarding internet freedom. So how are we supposed to inform the public, when the public won't listen because there's no "proof"? Knowing the answer to this question would help greatly in future bills passing.

its called takeing the time to look at the peoples papers and leaked docouments.
information like this is placed all around us, you just have to know where to look and keep an eye on people who invoke the freedom of information act.
or when they make a big cliam look it all up yourself.
alex doesnt lie, just becasue the event doesnt alwas happen doeant mean it would not have if people dident protest it, or other activists activity.
it actually requires constant reading and looking in books the web and other local people, mainly people older then 40. and im being 21, talk to them cause there more intersting then my generation that i generally meet. ask about your standards of yester years with your elders. in freedom, crime and human health.
