Aniketos sat quietly in a clearing, his tail lazily waving back and forth. His eyes were shut, but he wasn't sleeping. He liked to listen to the birds and it was much easier to do that with his eyes closed. A light glow emanated from him, the rainbow color he wasn't sure where he'd inherited from, though his half sister shared a similar glow. He sighed a bit, content with where he was right now, the feeling the sun warming his fur.

Akemi skittered quietly from one tree to another, body low to the ground as she watched nervously for anyone that might try to sneak up on her. Shaking slightly, as per usual, she stuck close to the tree at the edge of the clearing, looking out with a certain longing at the beauty of wide open space. As her eyes darted around, she caught sight of Aniketos as he sat, watching curiously as one of her ears flicked out of habit. His color made her eyes grow wide with interest, and the rainbows on his pelt helped her calm down for some odd reason. Bright color had always been an attraction to her sense, and even more, the glowing made her want to just run her paw along his pelt to see if it felt any different. Jittery with anticipation, she let her tail thwack carelessly against the tree as her mind wandered; wishing more and more that she had to courage to approach him. Rainbows might have made her happy, but they still didn't remove the fact that contact with others was the hardest thing for her to do.

Aniketos heard the skittering behind him, but attributed it to squirrels or perhaps a fox or two in the bushes. His ears twitched as he listened, enjoying the sounds of nature that surrounded him. A few moments later, the wind changed and the radioactive wolf smelled another, a female, somewhere behind him. "Hmm..." he rumbled, wondering if he should turn and say hello. Perhaps she was just shy. He heard as her tail hit the tree, and smiled. Slowly, he stretched his front paws out and stood, tail swishing slowly behind him as he turned, seemingly aimlessly, in her direction. When she caught his eye, Ani smiled. She was a very pretty female, the purple and green contrasting beautifully with her black coat. "Hello," he said softly, dipping his head to her and taking a couple steps closer.

Akemi watched with fascination at his colors, her paw stepping forward and pressing into the dirt before she brought it back. She wanted to get closer and see his patterns in full view, but she risked being seen by the male; not to mention getting flustered and embarrassing herself, or just fleeing altogether. His rumblings made her shift uneasily as her head tilted from side to side, backing up a little as he smiled; unsure of what that meant to her. Watching him stand, she froze and stared at him as thought frightened, his eyes catching hers; keeping their gazes locked as he approached. Blushing, she felt his eyes on her and began to shake again, her paws barely keeping their footing as she forced herself to look down; away from his gesture. "H-Hi...." Her voice was barely above a whisper, feeling a bit claustrophobic as he got closer, but strangely not running away. She felt drawn to him, and as he got within her reach, she stuck her paw out as if to feel his fur; determining it wasn't any different than hers. "M-Me..... Akemi..... K-Keke....." Smiling gently, she let her eyes flash towards him again, eying the rainbows carefully.

Aniketos cocked his head a bit to the side as she began to shake and frowned a bit. He wasn't all that frightening, was he? He was a bit large for a male, but he wasn't mean. He much preferred to make friends than enemies. Slowly, carefully, he sat back down not far from her as she spoke. He had to twitch his ears forward to catch her words. He smiled again as she felt his fur, more than willing to allow her reign to her curiosity. Not many wolves glowed like he did and most, if not all, of the ones that did were in his family. "Akemi...that's a pretty name," he said, his deep voice low and quiet so as not to frighten her. "I'm Aniketos...but you can call me Ani." He smiled a little wider, thinking she was a very pretty female.

Akemi didn't like when he frowned, rainbows were always supposed to be happy or else they faded into sad colors, so she tried to calm herself down for a little bit. Closing her eyes gently, she let her paws settle into the dirt for a bit after pulling them away from his fur, her breathing slowing as she smiled as beautifully and as kindly as she could; something that felt very foreign. Looking over shyly, she padded a step or two closer, sitting down in the grass so her tail could brush across it slowly as he spoke. His voice was gentle, it almost hummed in the air with its deep richness, compared to the quiet, almost sickeningly sweet way her voice always sounded, it was a lullaby. "Th-Thanks..... A-Ani sounds..... Cute. U-Uh.... H-Handsome!" She scrunched up her nose and giggle softly at her silly mistake.

Ani felt his heart flutter a bit as she smiled. The action made the already pretty wolf stunning. He laughed lightly, the sound rumbling from his chest as she called him cute, then corrected herself. "Cute is good, too...I think Keke is beautiful," he murmured, not talking about her name anymore, but the very wolf that was so shy in front of him. It wasn't often he met someone this shy, though he hadn't met very many wolves outside of his family period, and they were mostly outgoing. This female was...interesting to him. She made him feel a protective urge in his stomach, he wanted to be her friend, at least. Someone she could come to if she needed help. His green eyes glowed a little as he smiled back at her and decided the easiest way would just be to ask. "Would you like to be friends with me, Keke?"

Akemi felt the small vibrations as he emitted them, the pads of her feet tingling slightly while he chuckled; causing her to smile nervously before she bit down awkwardly on her lip. "Th-Thank you....." She said gently, looking him over more intently with that skittish glance before her tail started to thump rhythmically along with the sound of his voice. Her toes wiggled in the dirt as she thought about her nonexistent relationships with other wolves, and she started to wonder what made this boy so different. He made her feel comfortable, and his voice was almost familiar in its warmth; she liked how he went out of his way to make sure he wasn't scaring her. Blinking a bit, she looked up at his face innocently and paled a bit before giving a slight nod, not sure if she could even voice her thoughts anymore. "Friends.....?" She said weakly, her tail going silent for a moment as her legs gave out beneath her and she collapsed at his feet. Blushing, she cleared her throat and forced her eyes up to his..... chest, scrunching up her nose in embarrassment. "U-Um..... Y-Yes! Keke would l-like to be friends with Ani....!"
