"You actually left to find some stupid little rock?" Wikus's face twitched, not knowing to be amused or annoyed.
Oli nodded, wondering what he could do. Wikus was too dense to get any hints, he knew, and anything obvious would give him away. Where was Inibi when she was needed? he said again.
He rolled his eyes and opened the door enough for the little creature to slip in. "Don't run off like that again. If you need shiny so badly, you can get some tin foil, eh?" The door closed behind him, and he followed the little one back to the couch.

Raieth sighed. She was hoping the pair would leave for their home. The shop was just too busy to make a snatch at.
Stretching, she stood and hopped in the shop though the top window again. It was easier to learn a language though context. And she had a feeling she would need to understand it.
She stalked among the ceiling beams until she found them.

Oli murmured as Wikus waited for a response. He looked at his owner then. Act natural. But how? There was a lady after the halfbreed. Wikus had been right to be suspicious for the longest time. He was doomed. They were doomed. Oli had Wikus's memory of nearly having his heart taken out while being awake and fighting. That and every fight...would it be for nothing.
The green bug sniffled then, holding back his wanting to shout and cry in fear.
A brow rose on Wikus's face. "Is it so pretty that you want to cry?" He sat on the couch again, eyes somewhat darkly on his little prawn.
Oli chirped.

Raieth frowned in concern. The little prawn looked like he was going to panic.
Not that she could blame him of course. She was fully aware of what they were going to do to Wikus when she turned him over. They were a company similar to the group that had created her. Unfortunately for Wikus however, her conscience was not attuned to the needs of others, thanks to her creator.
Raieth scratched behind her ear and pondered setting off a fire alarm to get them out of the shop.

"Then you must be a little allergic to yourself, then." Wikus retorted. Oli hopped on his lap. Wikus shook his head. "No." He paused. "Maybe it is time to go." Oli wanted to stall. Outside could be dangerous.

Raieth frowned. She was understood the clicking well enough to know he was stalling. 'Come on Wikus. You haven't listened to him all day, why start now?'
She clawed at the ceiling beam impatiently. She wanted this job to be over with. 'You've got twenty minutes then I set the sprinklers off.' She knew they couldn't hear her thoughts but it was a bad habit of talking to herself that she had picked up from her absentee partner Odin.
