Jazbo Ihabia Jass Jazbo Delmar_Denban There are only 2 real ways that you can offend the people of Thai land: 1. Insulting their religion. 2. Insulting their royal family. You should find them to be a warm and friendly people otherwise. Hehe, ok, thats good. I don't plan on doing either. Pfft, at one point I used to go to Thailand regulary, and I know ALOT more ways of insulting them. Care to name any? Why is this turning into people challenging eachother and stuff? It was a simple question that has been solved... I don't think we need an animosity now. Animosity? I didn't think there was any. I was just curious to hear some funny tales.

Jass Jazbo Well, before I get to my point, I want to let you know that I have a fascination with Thailand and Mongolia (that doesn't matter) so, just letting you know. Now my point and concern is that I am trying to dabble in Muay Thai Kickboxing more, but I am afraid it is disgraceful to do so. Its such a rich cultural martial art and I may actually fight someone who is Thai and was born in Thailand and learned Muay Thai in Thailand. I don't want to be disgraceful and mock his culture, I have the utmost respect, I really do want to learn some more Muay Thai, but I can't help but feel I shouldn't even try. Can you guys give a bit of advice please? Muay Thai was stolen from Cambodia, I've also KO'd loads of Thai's, culture has nothing to do with how eligable you are to study an art. ^No it wasn't. The Camboians AND the Burmese are both quick to claim that same statement... but its not true. History records Krabi Krabong as being the fathering martial art to Muay Thai... which was also developed in Thailand. Its just a pride issue... and thus, rumors spread.

There's also the fact that if the Thai's dont mind westerners coming and competing in the biggest stadiums in Bangkok they wont mind a westerner taking up the art...

Yea, they seem more then happy to smack them around alot. But when a westerner comes by that can knock back really good, they show respect. At least from what Ive seen
