I'd like to bring to your attention that someone has remade the site DolphinMania.

thread made by Es One

In case you don't know, DolphinMania was a Booty Grab site made by Es One to help Gaians who couldn't see thanks glowing by giving them a direct link to tanks and even showed them what tanks were currently glowing.

But Lanzer asked Es One to shut it down. It is now against Gaia's rules to have sites like that. If found using this site or any one like it you may get your account(s) banned.

OP - Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

A few points here:
1. As near as I can tell the site does not work. I only tested it on one glowing tank but the results were what I expected. Tank loads but not BG game.

I say expected because Gaia disabled BG for click throughs that do not originate on Gaia. I am told this change and they way IE looks at links is the reason IE no longer works with BG unless you have a direct link.

2. Tank owners should not be punished in any way for being there because they did not ASK to be there. Any one of you can go through booty grab threads and find the links to good tanks. There is an 'add tank' button on the site for recommending tanks to be added.

As an example - I paged through the listings of dolphin tanks and sure enough this account and my mules are posted there. I did not ask for them to be there nor was I even aware they were there (or of the site) until this evening.

3. Unless I am missing something Gaia does not need to do anything beyond what they have already done. As near as I can tell as stated in #1 the site does not work so it will likely die out on its own.

4. The owner 'King' is hiding behind the registry privacy feature of publicdomainregistry.com

5. I'm a bit confused by the implied lineage of the site. (see below) On the one hand
_xX Es-One Xx_ says it is not owned or operated by me and the site says
Disclaimer: This new site is in no way owned or operated by _xX Es-One Xx_ or PandaMarie1025

On the other hand it claims to be the new official site of Dolphinmania. I'm not sure how it became 'official' (self declared?)
Myeh! What ever. If they don't actually get it working it won't really matter. If they do Gaia will probably attempt to deal with it.

About Us
We're the new home of Dolphinmania. Still fixing the coding so please bare with me.
This site is NOT operated by GAIAONLINE.COM. DolphinmaniaRebirth is the new official site for Dolphinmania. This site is currently running by the original source of Dolphinmania. However, there is a new owner and more improvements. Our goal is to provide you with the best BootyGrab tanks possible. We welcome suggestions and comments. Please use the "Add tanks" feature if you think there is a tank that should be added to our list.
Thank you,
King (New Owner)

looks like they just "copied and pasted" (I know it's not that simple) everything from the original site.
Is it possible that it will work with Firefox, since regular BG does? Not that I want to play it... I don't want to get banned.

Yeah, that's more or less what 'scraped' means. As in they went through the DM site and scraped all the data. Except yeah - in this case they copied pretty much everything.

No, it does not work with Firefox.
Many web sites can see what web site you came from to get to their site. For example, did you click on their site from Google or from the NY Times web site or what ever. Among other things it helps them know where people are finding out about them.

Gaia made a change to booty grab so now when you click on a link to load a BG game it looks at that 'where did he come from' part and if it is not gaiaonline.com it won't load the booty grab game. Unless someone has a way of spoofing the 'from' site / IP no off-Gaia booty grab site is going to work. That was Gaia's intent with that change.

Internet Explorer just got caught in the cross fire because for what ever reason it isn't passing on the part about, "Hey, he came here from a Gaia link". So, if you use Gaia's tank link (e.g click on the glowing tank in a thread) and you are using IE then Gaia THINKS you came from some off Gaia site and refuses to load the BG game. That's why people are big on the direct links to tanks in their posts because that does work. I'm sure Gaia COULD resolve the issue with IE and their BG link but so far they have not done so or, AFAIK, even acknowledged the problem exists.

My apologies to any coders for a sort of crappy explanation. I'm not a coder but that is the gist of the situation as explained to me by Absol.
