In this day and age, there is no length advertisers won't goto to get you, the children, to buy...buy...buy!
Even gaiaonline itself is a warzone in this financial tyranny propagated for the unsuspecting.
Everything you knew as a child, or know as one, is a lie. Fabricated to get you to buy and continue to buy until you die.
With no signs of anything but slamming the accelerator and busting the gear shifts. This hyperdrive of mass advertising is poised to make the next big thing you hear about, alot of money for nobody in particular.
Oh well, kids today are born hopeless anyways. talk2hand

I remember buying a lot as a kid. When I looked through catalogs, there'd always be some toy or barbie that I wanted to purchase. And I'd usually ask for brand name products as well.
Even though the industries are pulling in a lot of money, the fascination doesn't always last for long.
Nowadays, as a 21 year old, I hardly buy anything. I'm also not partial to buying merchandise anymore.
My latest buy was a garden gnome painting kit, so I doubt my wallet will be in any danger anytime soon. xD
But I do agree that they should cut down the advertising a bit. Especially on the internet. They've even got talking internet ads now (which are very loud and give you a fright when they pop out of nowhere).
On another note, I was majorly loling at that child psychiatrist in part 4.
"I'll say it. Uh...Child marketers are very similar to pedophiles.
They are child experts. If you're going to be a pedophile or a child marketer, you have to know
about children and what children are going to want."
What's he trying to suggest thar? xD
Also, he's not being politically correct. The correct term is "child molester", since not all pedophiles go around hurting children.

I refuse to believe all kids are born hopeless!
I will always believe there is hope...
We just have to work harder to make a difference.
And if/when I have any children, you better believe I am going to do my best to be a great mom, teach them the truth, and teach them to care.

It reminds me of a scene in the movie THX-1138, when the main character is making confessions to a picture of Jesus. The picture tells him to "Buy more. Buy more and be happy."
If you havent seen that movie, i definitely recomend it...just make sure you have caffine, because it moves really slow.

only if i had known about this earlier as a child maybe i wouldn't had have diabetes...lucky i manage to drop all that i had in the 3rd grade biggrin ....and my diabetes isn't that serious anymore.....it's a shame i had to learn it the hard way....smh.....millions kids are probably going through it too sad

Just wait till they evolve into mind tracking customized ads with destruction chips that activate if you turn away! Idk if it'll get that bad, but I would thoroughly enjoy skinning an AD marketeer.
